Hemauer brewing is a step above the rest, in forms of friendliness - and their beer is good too! We each had the two sours they offered and were both impressed with them. I had the here fishy fishy (not what it's called but I can't spell that) and it was yummy! Wife had the peach pastry sour and said it was very good as well! We were there too early for the music, but next time we'll have to plan better! We would have loved to have stayed, but it just wasn't in the cards tonight. read more

Food 5/5: really loved the Cubano and and the hot honey fried chicken sandwich. The chicken came out crispy and crispy well seasoned and my cubano came with ample meat and packed with flavor. I'm actually quite picky with my Cubans so I'll be coming back for this. Yes it's the most expensive ish thing on the food menu but you will be full and it's loaded! We also tried the fried pickles and they came out well. Drinks 5/5: lots of beer options and they carry a variety within the space. Not a lot of liquor options but it's a brewery! I liked the fact that you could make your own flight with multiple 5oz options to see what you like. Ambiance 4/5: high tops and a small bar area in the back. It's loud and hard to hear sometimes. Not where I'd pick if you didn't want to be heard as sound carries. More of a casual vibe with boudoir pics in the background. Don't be alarmed! It's art and part of the owner's wife's other business. Nice place for a intro date drink or super casual. Tip: I would look at the appetizer menu ahead with drinks so when they come around your order is in. It can get busy so best come prepared. Hemauer is an unpretentious, low-key spot located in a shopping center location off Wesley Drive in Mechanicsburg, PA. While there is some light good, this is primarily a taproom and beer-focused. Hemauer had selections on draft during my recent visit and I sampled the lager, American pale ale, and two IPAs. I normally stay away from beer flights (they seem like a huge pain for the bartenders) but the flight was a good choice in this case. All my selections were quite tasty. The space is plain and simple but gets the job done. The owners do double duty as hosts snd bartenders and are very friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back, and took lager and American pale ale "to go" to share with friends over Independence Day weekend. read more

I've been here once before when they 1st opened, gave it another whirl this weekend. I got a sampler. The beers are priced individually! I got oatmeal blonde ale, oats n hoes, garage #5, and behind blue eyes. I thought the beers were okay, not the best I've ever had, not the worst. I was highly annoyed though with their "cider" several people with me ordered it and it for sure wasn't a cider it was a sour. I even had to re-look at the draft list and make sure it didn't say sour cider. However, I did enjoy the other beers they were not bad. Their food menu did look good, though! If I did go back, I would try something off their menu. The parking lot is big so parking isn't an issue. Staff was also friendly. The taproom is not huge, but there were a lot of tables. read more

Opening any business in May 2020 is no easy feat during a pandemic and yet that is the origin story of Hemaurer Brewing. But don't let the strip mall exterior fool you. This place is a hidden gem. Brooks and his wife Shannon began chasing their dream three years ago brewing beer in their home and this taproom exudes the pride of their perseverance, craftsmanship and love of beer and people. I tried their oatmeal stout, Oats and Hoes which had a wonderful mouthfeel, excellent balance with nutty notes of cocoa and caramel. Lucky Lobsta is their New England-style IPA which is one of the best I've tried with an excellent blend of sweet and bite. Lastly, their golden sour, available in bottles, is barrel-aged in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay barrels and tastes like fine champagne. Overall, I must return and try everything! Beers are available on tap in 5oz flight pours, 10, and 16oz sizes and are well priced. To-go options are available as well. The audacity and bravery of this couple to not only open and produce amazing beer in a crowded field of other Mechanicsburg breweries (Wolf, Mellow Mink, Evergrain) during a pandemic is a thing to witness. But I can assure you that they not only hold their own but have found a veritable niche of excellence that is worthy of your tastebuds. read more

Checked this place out shortly after they opened. Got a flight with Americanization IPA, their standout beer so far. Also enjoyed Hazy Country Bois NEIPA and Chocolate Covered Cherries Stout. All the beers taste the same. Great atmosphere and the singer from Dillsburg was great.

Intimate space with plenty of TVs for entertainment. Great selection of beers and ciders. The flatbread pizzas are delicious.

The crab dip tots were very good. The dip was creamy and tots were fried and held up to the dip. Vic smashed it with the smashed burger. More meat than bun which is a nice change to most restaurants. I gave a 4 star rating only because I'm a wine drinker and they didn't have any. The diet root beer was good. read more

Wow!!! I've been coming here once a week for several months now. I've gotten to know the bartenders, the regulars, and the owner. All I can say is that I keep coming back because of the wonderful people, the wonderful beer, and the wonderful atmosphere. And now I'll be coming back because of the wonderful food! Their menu dropped yesterday. I had gotten the loaded tots thinking I'd heat them up tomorrow. However, the to go box came out before I finished my beer, so I dipped into them. Absolutely amazing. On the way home I was picking at them. I ended up eating the rest when I got home. I've never raved about food as much before, but those loaded tots must have had something special on them to keep me picking at it. read more
