The facility allows pets and we met Lily of the Valley, our friend's cat. The rooms are good sized with bedroom and sitting area. A small microwave and refrigerator are in the room. The cleaning staff come often. While we were sitting in her room, a staff person came to visit. She was there to help bathe our friend, but said she would come back later. It was an enjoyable visit. They have their own parking lot.

My aunt was there from 2020 to 2025 when she passed peacefully in December at Hands of Care. She was constantly surrounded by staff and her needs and wants were attended to 24/7. Even her hair and nail appointments which she insisted on having, which Anna would make sure she was taken to. Anna also made sure she was taken to all her doctor appointments and kept me updated on every detail of her appointments or my aunt's needs and wants. Mind you, I live out of state and I couldn't ask for a better place to have my aunt. She also considered everyone there as part of her family.

We had an absolutely wonderfully prepared buffet and the residents there said the quality we received was normal and not for show, so that was good to hear. We had a brief tour passing through some lovely gardens and the closed campus seemed very safe and pleasant with its plantings and benches, and pets are allowed! The tour and event was for learning about the apartments and the building and hallways reminded us of our college dorms and wasn't as modern and fresh as hoped for, although they have tried to make them more pleasant with artwork and decorative touches. The little lobby and common rooms were pleasant to get one out of the apartments and wait for friend or visitors, and the bulletin boards were full of activities. They were updating the apartments and they really make the best of the space. Many have sizable terraces, but the one we saw didn't have much of a view. The staff and residents we spoke with were all very upbeat and happy to be there talking about the events on campus, transportation to appointments and events off campus, and the comfort of being where a continuum of care can be provided. My bank paid them on the 2rd of the month for the amount she was supposed to be charged. Then the billing department charged her yet again. THREE TIMES this has occurred. The owner Lida only contacted me by email and did not have the decency to call me directly so we could rectify this problem. I fear that the staff will take it out on my Mother. I am trying to get her out of there as soon as possible. If this is the way the owner treats family....take my advise and look elsewhere!!
