Help-U-Serve did an excellent job serving our small claims papers under a tight deadline. We filed the papers in the morning at the courthouse. Shortly after, we called Help-U-Serve and met Latoya to give her the papers to serve. The papers were successfully served before the morning was over! Throughout the whole process, Help-U-Serve's Henry and Latoya were professional and helpful in explaining the process in their phone and email communications, as well as in person. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services. read more

I was in the unfortunate situation of having to get rid of a deadbeat tenant. I forwarded the papers to Help-U-Serve and they were out for service promptly. I believe their swift action saved me a lot in court fees to evict because the deadbeat was put on notice through service and he left without incident. Both representatives are prompt with answering questions (both by phone and email) and very knowledgeable. Would use them again definitely. Hope I don't have to though :) read more

I would highly recommend Help-U-Serve to anyone in need of these types of services. My family and I had never been in this situation before needing to have an individual served with a restraining order. Not knowing what to do or where to turn for getting it done, I decided to check out the reviews on Yelp and Help-U-Serve had, by far, the best and most consistently high ratings. Help-U-Serve arranged a meeting with me within an hour of my initial call to them in order to assess me needs and develop the best strategy for getting the court order delivered to the recipient. Time was of the essence due to what was a very delicate and potentially volatile situation. Henry reviewed our court documents and immediately put me at ease with his thorough knowledge of how best to deal with our particular situation. Within 48 hours and with some very creative sleuthing, problem solving and deft negotiating with the other party Henry was able to successfully deliver the required documents. Throughout the process, he and Latoya left no stone unturned and kept me duly informed of all developments while at the same time assuaging any concerns I had about the progress of things and the eventual outcome. High marks all around for their swift, professional and very friendly service. I understand why the Sheriff's Department often calls on Help-U-Serve to handle these types of situations. Their knowledge, commitment and single-minded focus have helped to put our minds at a bit more ease and hopefully get on with our normal lives. What a wonderful resource to have in your corner. We are eternally grateful! read more

Thank you latonya and Henry for serve my husband the same day. You rock

I have been working with Henry and Latoya for years. They are very good at doing their work properly and efficiently. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone in need of their services. A great team and very nice people! As far as May M. giving 2 stars, I might suggest taking some responsibility for the delay in your process by (1) waiting an entire week to get them your documents, and (2) waiting 3-4 days to make sure your email was received. When I have asked for rush service, Henry and Latoya have done their best to accommodate my needs, and most of the time have been able and come through. And when they just cannot make it happen, I don't blame them for being busy on my last-minute request. They will continue to get my business in the future. Highly recommend. read more

They are rated with 5 stars for a reason! Very professional and friendly people to work with. Got the job done very quickly and communication was awesome. This was my first time doing this and they made it a breeze. Highly recommend their services! Thanks again! read more

Henry is the person to go to if you want to serve someone. He is honest and reliable. I had a tenant who I needed to serve a 60 day notice. I called Help-U-Serve and met with Henry. He was very easy to talk to; He made me feel comfortable and assured me the job would get done. It was done within the hour the same day. I have been a landlord since 1995 and have been serving tenants notices over the years. I called Help-U-Serve for the first time because the people I usually use was unavailable. His service was excellent. I will certainly use him again and highly recommend him. Monica G. read more

If I could give Henry, Latoya, and their team 10 stars, I would give them 20! This team is the absolute best. We had a rush job that had to get served in 2 hours, then rescheduled and then rescheduled again (all in the same day), but their team was amazing throughout the whole process and made it happen. They even have body cams so nobody can try to deny being served. I really cannot thank them enough. They helped not only serve our restraining order but ultimately protected our client from a monster. You will not go wrong if you hire this team. Worth every penny! read more

I can only re-state what's already been said about Henry and Help-U-Serve LLC... this guy is GREAT. He is friendly, professional and got the job done *quick*. He served the individual and called to follow up with me to let me know how it went. I especially appreciate his professionalism and follow up since I live almost 400 miles away from the person being served, so I really had to put my trust in the person serving these papers and making sure they were served the right way. I was really intimidated at having to sue someone, and while I hope I don't have to do it again any time soon, if you need someone served in Alameda County, I don't hesitate to recommend Henry and Help-U-Serve LLC! read more

Let me preface this review by saying that I have had experience in dealing with companies that do this type of work; and I can tell you that it is sort of a hit and miss thing. As a careful shopper, I contacted three companies. One did not get back to me, one was too expensive and I also did mention to Henry and Latoya that this one other company that I did business with, but will not longer do so, because of a botched a job. I read the reviews of Help-U-Serve and they all had five start ratings; so I decided to give it a shot and go with a local business: I initially met with Latoya and Henry. We discussed the particulars of the issues at hand. I had a complex case that required exact procedural steps to be followed. Henry effected service and gave me a call to let me know the status. The documents were served quicker than I expected. Although I paid for the standard rate, the docs. were handled on what would be considered a rush job. I was ecstatic knowing that the opposition received the papers because I anticipated that they may try to be evasive. Anyway, the job was done quickly and efficiently, which accomplished my goals. I would recommend them to handle the service of legal documents and will use them in the future. read more

I chose Henry at Help-U-Serve because told me he didn't want my money unless he knew he could deliver, Well, Henry delivered. As a first timer, it was stressful waiting and worrying but Henry walks you through the process. There's a reason that Help-U-Serve isn't the cheapest, it's because you pay for quality work. Henry is worth every penny. I hope I don't need his services again, but if I do, he's my first call. If you need a reliable, fair priced, and honest process server, I'd recommend Henry and Latoya at Help-U-Serve. read more

Called on Monday afternoon to have someone served in a family matter. Henry answered and met me within 15mins! I expected it to be difficult for him to serve the other party, but he called 4 hours later to say he had successfully served them. Wow. I hope to never be in this spot again, but if I were, I would call Henry in a heartbeat. On a personal note: it's never a good thing to be in need to serve anyone, particularly when it's a family issue. If there are any stages that can go smoothly, you'll take it. Henry made it as painless as possible. Really appreciated his personal approach. read more

Very professional, helpful and did a great job. I reccommend Henry!

Henry is persistent, reliable, and professional. He got the job done!! Highly recommend.

This business modified our documents without our knowledge or consent. The payee on a check for payment of Sheriff's fees was changed. The County was changed on a Writ of Execution. The address where we instructed legal process to be served was modified to another address in another County. Needless to say, we will never conduct business with Help-U-Serve, LLC again. read more

Henry did an excellent job and had my back after serving a restraining order! Thank you so much!

Tried Calling this business left one voicemail and multiple missed calls still a week later have had no response. I am disappointed to leave a bad review after all the good ones that made me reach out but if you cant even get someone on the line thats no bueno! read more

I decided to use Help-U-Serve based on good reviews. However, the whole experience was very disappointing... Two weeks of my time and my money wasted! They were unable to serve at a private address despite a few attempts. Most of the time, they went to the location when no one was there but still took my money... They were also very unprofessional with phone and email communication; plain rude on a few occasions. Luckily, after that bad experience I found Rui Cordeiro (license #1331) from Bay Area Process Servers who did the job promptly even before my check arrived. I can't say how grateful I am for his help. Hire him instead! read more

Henry is knowledgeable, patient, and professional. He clearly understands the laws around process serving. Even when the defendant did not show at the estimated time, Henry waited for over an hour and successfully served the summons. Henry's partner Latoya emailed me a receipt of payment and Proof of Service promptly. I highly recommend Help-U-Serve. read more

Henry and Latoya are wonderful to work with. They are my go to process servers in the Oakland area. I recently sent them a subpoena for service on an individual who is extremely tough to locate. Henry worked his magic and was able to get the individuals flight information from a family member and then was able to serve the individual upon his arrival from the airport! I don't know anyone else as good as Henry. He is amazing! Highly recommend Help-U-Serve, LLC read more

I found this service on line while I was in Oakland, California trying to get visitation with my grandson. I called at 2:30pm and Henry showed up and ready to serve my papers at 3pm. The price was outstanding for the service I needed. He tried to serve my papers at 4pm on the same day but we didn't have success, however he woke up at 5am the following morning and met me at the location for another attempt and he was successful. He served the papers and he also recorded the entire process so the court would not have any problems with the service. Henry was very professional and so pleasant to work with. I would use him again and I will tell everyone I know to use their service. These are the words I would use amazing, professional, prompt, funny, gets the job done, and a life saver. I said all of that because I live in Maryland and had to catch a flight the following morning back home and needed the papers served before I left. MIRACLE. read more

Excellent Service on every level! I had a challenging service need that was extremely time sensitive. I reached out to Help U Serve based on a reference and the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Although I knew it was a reputable and effective business, I was unsure of what to expect, nervous about the process and worried over my tight timeframe. From our inital conversation, Henry was very frank, thorough and responsive. He took time to explain the legal process, limitations, costs and potential consequences in detail before even agreeing to take my business. I felt supported throughout and was able to get the party served in perfect timing. He even files the proof of service expeditiously and forwards electronic copies via email. I am SO relieved! Now I can focus on preparing for my hearing and breathe easier knowing I chose the best possible process server for my legal issue. I HIGHLY recommend Help U Serve. read more
