David was the tech and he did a beautiful job. He was persistent and made sure to get out all the lint from that long vent pipe. We were concerned about moving the dryer because It is very difficult to put it back in place without losing the connection between the back of the dryer and the vent pipe. David was able to do the job without moving the dryer. This was one of the main reasons we had procrastinated--we didn't want somebody replacing our hard connector with an over-long, unsafe, snake of tubing. I will be calling them regularly for maintenance and have recommended them to friends. From setting up the appointment to job completion I found them to be responsive and friendly and the price was fantastic. There are so many "companies" out there now, and I use the word loosely, that are just people with a list of subcontractors and they send anybody over from their list and you don't know whether they're qualified or not. But after he arrived and saw how nice and luxurious the house was, the price suddenly jumped to $950! $220 to $950 is a huge difference. I asked him why the price increased more than FOUR TIMES. His response? "It's a big house. I need a ladder, and I have to get on the roof." LOL! WHAT A JOKE! Getting on the roof is part of the job! I went to Home Depot, spent approximately $79 on the tools and supplies, and did the job MYSELF! I'm posting pictures of everything you need to buy at Home Depot so others can do this themselves and save hundreds of dollars. All you need is a trash bag, shop vacuum , a drill, new flex foil duct and the vent-cleaning tools shown in my pictures. You can keep the tools and reuse them in the future. $950 versus $79! Please do your research, read the other reviews, and don't let anyone pressure you into paying an outrageous price without proof of the alleged problems. He will reply with a fake statement. Just be honest. I asked for pictures and proof he never sent them because it wasn't true. Cleaning the existing duct generally requires neither a contractor's license nor a permit; changing or replacing the duct should be checked against the applicable local requirements.

The attic didn't have any infestations, but they carefully identified potential entry points and blocked them off to help prevent future problems. In the crawlspace, they completely removed all the trash and animal remnants, including droppings, then sanitized the area with a lemon deodorizer and bacteria-killing treatment. They also fully replaced the mesh lining on the vents surrounding the house, including both the crawlspace and attic vents. Late and unprofessional arrival The technician called at 11:33 am and said he was 15 minutes away. At 12:30 he still hadn't showed up so we called him. He said he called us by mistake and meant to call another client. He then said he would be at our house in an hour. At 1:52 PM he called saying he would arrive in five minutes. At 2:02 PM I looked out the front door and noticed he was sitting in his van. At 2:03 PM he simply drove away. When I checked my Ring camera, it showed that he pulled in at 2:00 PM, took his ladder out, never knocked on the door, then put it back and left. We called him immediately. He claimed he knocked for 5 minutes and "no one was there," and said he would turn around. He did not. We called the company and were told he would come back shortly. He finally returned 25 minutes later with no explanation. 2. Bait-and-switch pricing I was quoted $199 for negative air cleaning of vents and returns. The technician looked at the vents and told me "negative air does not actually clean," and said I would need a different cleaning. He quoted $1,200 -- then said they were "running a special" and could do it for $800. When I questioned the price, he then offered a "final best price" of $600 to clean just two vents. No special materials, all manual labor. In other words: massive upsell and pressure tactics. 3. Unprofessional attitude When I refused service and told him I would not be paying more than the quoted $199, he told me he had "driven two hours" to get here, as if that justified changing the price on site. I told him I don't appreciate bait-and-switch tactics. After this experience, it was clear they rely on deceptive pricing and hope customers will cave in. Completely unacceptable. If you want honest, professional service, look elsewhere. This company wasted my time, was dishonest about pricing, and showed zero respect for the customer.
