Pretty empty during midday on a Sunday , so I took my small dog over to the big dog side to feel some grass.

A little confusing to find at first , but just follow the signs. There is an entrance fee if there's a worker which is probably half of the week, I'd you have a disable placard it's free. The park is split into small and big dog enclosure but honestly, it's a bit unfair. The small dog side has no grass/ dried our grass and is a barren wasteland with not too much shade. The big dog size has lush grass and plenty of shade along the perimeter. You can also bring your own camping chair to park under a tree if you'd like. There's a lot of holes in the grass though and it's so big that some lazy owners don't pick up their dogs poop because they think no one is around to see them, lame-o. Big dogs side I give 3 stars. Small dog side I give 2 stars .

Good spot with a lot of room for dogs, especially big dogs that are friendly. Only problem is some people don't pick up after their dogs. Just had a guy sit by me and I let him know his dog dropped a bomb in a spot fairly close to us and he just got up and walked to the other side of the park. He n ver said a word but he didn't look the most hygienic himself. I could only imagine what his yard smells like

Super dog friendly and spacious enclosure! I brought my dogs out here to enjoy socializing with other fur babies and to get some walks in after a year of quarantining inside. It wasn't super busy and the dogs that showed up at the park were all super cute and friendly! Since my dogs haven't ever been to a dog park, I thought this park was perfect for them to be introduced to the environment in a low key environment. Molly was a bit anxious and wanting to go home, but luckily the fencing enclosure was good and kept her from escaping. My only concern (and reason for 1 star) is the post that states that the dog park tends to flood from time to time (so I'm wondering if anything will be done or has been done to keep doggies safe) and that the park could be a bit cleaner. Saw some dog poop lying around and stagnant water sitting in buckets. Are there staff that occasionally clean the parks? Either way, I brought my poop bags to clean up after my Molly (Charlie doesn't like to poop outside of home) and some water for the pups! Hope to see some of you and your furry friends around~

We are usually frequents of Butcher Dog Park, but this place is a whole different vibe (in a good way). Hellyer Dog Park is HUGE compared to Butcher (see pics). It also is real grass/dirt as opposed to turf & has more tree shade cover, which makes this a great option for hot days Because this place is so huge, the vibe is super chill amongst the dogs (rather than the dogs being on top of each other & having territory disputes). Standard parking through the Hellyer County Park is $6 BUT I've heard you can park on nearby streets (McLaughlin) and walk in . There is a water spicket with reusable buckets & poop bags/shovels provided. DEFINITELY a must go for your pup.

Pit I'll who attacked lab. Pink collar. Goes by Bella I believe.

I take my 11 month old black lab puppy here fairly often. It's a great place for dogs to run and play the only downside is some owners take little to no responsibility over their dog. I have been personally attacked by dogs jumped on etc. and the owners will do nothing. I end up having to take control the situation or remove myself and my dog from the park entirely. Yesterday a friend of mine took her black lab to this park. Her and I often meet up and let our dogs play together. Well thank goodness I didn't go yesterday but unfortunately she did and her poor dog was attacked by a pitbull. I am not ragging on the breed or calling them out but facts are facts. The owners had two pitbull's a male who was on a leash, I'm assuming because they know he has aggressive behavior. The other pitbull was female and she was let loose, she was the dog who attacked the lab. This number is the emergency ranger number and should be called if the couple are the dogs in the photo I posted are at the park. 408 299 2311 I am posting this because it should be brought to the attention of dog owners in the area and if these owners or dogs are seen then we should take the responsibility to call the park ranger. It should be common knowledge that in aggressive dog should not be brought to a dog park! There are techniques and ways of helping your dog with their aggression but bringing them into a dog park with the dogs who are off leash is not one of them. I hope that the owner see this and I hope that they understand that they were wrong and they are to blame for yesterday's encounter.

Took my 3 babies to this dog park! It's really big and they absolutely loved it! They have many stations for poop bags so that was convenient. Also they have water for dogs. There is table and chairs so it's def good for owners to sit down and watch dogs! I wish we don't need to pay $6 for parking though lol

Plenty of running space for dogs
    Amanda N.

Plenty of parking near by to the gated areas to the entry. Lots of running space for the dogs to run around in. There is a water fountain so you can get fresh water to your dog. As the looks of it most owners pick up after their dogs Table and chairs are included (Park Fee) $6.00

Very clean fairly large dog park. With actual grass!!!

Avoid paying park vehicle parking fees and enter at Tuers and McLaughlin. Park is the cleanest park I've been to in the south bay for it's size. Not to many dogs here as it is pretty hard to find. If you do park at Tuers and McLaughlin follow the fence opening for 50 yards along the asphalt walkway. You will then come onto the dog park.

Just a heads up, they charge $6 to enter the park. I've never been to a dog park that charges you to enter. very strange.

Such a beautiful park!!…read more I've had Delano Manongs Park bookmarked for quite some time and as time passed, I honestly forgot about this place. With an upcoming play date planned between myself and a gf, I was happy that this particular park was picked for our meet up. First things first, this park is MASSIVE! Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. This is lots of fun for kids of all ages.

The park is divided in two: big dog and small dogs. Its mostly just dry dirt with some tanbark along the edges. No poop bags are provided however, there is a spot for some tennis balls and a water fountain along with a big bowl. Theres 4 benches mostly parked under the shade of big trees so you can expect a bit of seating. Parking right next to the dog park is pretty limited as it's mostly just street parking along Piedmont Road. No food or drinks are allowed and people, for the most part, follow the rules. Sometimes people bring their medium/large dogs into the small dog park so do keep an eye on your dog. The park is pretty well kept and clean throughout despite no bags being provided. Most of the people who frequent this park seem very kind and warm. If you have a social pup, I would come here and check it out.

I briefly visited from out of town for a breed specific meet up so my experience is not that of a regular. Pros include the spaciousness, real grass, bench seating, mature trees providing shade, trash bins inside the park area including poop scoopers, and a water fountain/bowl. When I went the water fountain wasn't working. I did some research beforehand. (Google Maps calls this the Piedmont Road Dog Park. I don't know if that's the official name.) They don't have poop bags either. I think these drawbacks will likely be remedied in the future. I've seen at other dog parks the community members step up and install back up poop bags or bring in stainless steel troughs for the water. In the meantime, bring your own bags and water! The one thing I really did not like was the parking situation. Piedmont seems very busy. There isn't a parking lot to pull into. I drove past the park initially. It's street parking on Piedmont with some areas of the curb being red or green. The solution would be for someone to park in a lot inside the park (another entrance) and to walk to the dog parks. There's also a shopping plaza across the street and residential streets nearby if you don't mind crossing the street. The real grass and mature trees/shade are really rare for a dog park! I could see this place being five stars for someone that lives in the area and is more experienced with the parking situation than me.
