Bad experience. Scheduled a visit and was given a quote for two projects. Scope changed significantly after booking with one project no longer relevant. Called back and annoying phone tree message states that if scope changes, no need to call since technician can make the changes. The moment technician arrived, I informed him that the scope changed. After discussing options the scope of the primary project also changed drastically with technician only walking through changes to turn off Spectrum wifi signals in lieu of my Google mesh system rather than installing a switch in lieu of the Spectrum router. Asked me if I had anything else and I briefly ran a couple of other potential projects by him, but he had nothing to offer regarding either one. When finished, handed me his phone to sign, which I did, then asked what he charged. Charged the original scope and said he had no way of changing it. I had to call back and file a complaint and was eventually issued a partial refund. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience. They should just charge a transparent hourly rate rather than vague scopes of work without the ability to flex. Do not advise using this company! read more

So I call and ask if I can schedule an appointment and ask what I needed. I said I'm having issues with my Alexa and home entertainment system, I said it's new and having a problem setting it up, it will turn off and change channel but won't turn on when I ask Alexa to turn on, so the rep said we don't have anyone that can trouble shoot that, I asked you set it up with Alexa from scratch with the home entertainment right? They said yes that's what we do, so if your tech has a problem and it's not working right what does he do, she said trouble shoot it, I said ok that's what I'm asking and then said but we don't have that service. I called back to speak to someone else and they said yes it will cost you 79 dollars I stated I don't want give my credit card on the phone, I would like to pay the person when they get here or if you have a secure way of paying they said yes over the phone I said not secure for me. I made an appointment and needed to cancel a day later. Through e-mail I cancelled the order and made a copy of the screen which stated 'Order has been successfully cancelled'. I continued to get messages that a tech was coming. Finally I call Hellotech and they stated I had two orders and one was not cancelled. No, I had only one order, had the order number and a screen copy of the cancellation, Finally the agent said she would try and cancel the order. I don't trust this company. I don't know where to start, so let's go to the beginning. It was confusing at first because I used my cellphone to attempt setting up an account. That didn't work, so I went to my desktop then my phone(landline). It was all resolved that way and I'm a happy camper for the most part. Leaving a first-time review, it's hard to begin! First of all, the computer tech showed UP EARLY which is almost unheard of for repair jobs! He was super polite, assessed the situation, checked the other computer (my husband's)downstairs, was very thorough, and found the problem wasn't because my cat had snacked on the wiring! It was due to the router! Whew! Everything was checked and rechecked, established new password, done! It took less than 1 hr, time well spent!!! I like this company. Fast, easy and affordable. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the tech that came out didn't supply my correct mount. I paid for a full motion TV mount that I wanted to move side to side and tilt up and down. The mount the tech installed only goes side to side. I put an inquiry in about the mix up, will update with how they handled it. Update: Less than a few days and a customer service rep contacted me. They gave me two options, 1) replace the mount and install the correct one 2) refund me the difference. I choose to do the refund because after a couple of days with the mount I got accustomed to it. Overall, they handled the situation great and I changed my rating to 5 stars. Will use this service again. read more

I found out I needed to get a new transformer for the doorbell camera.
