Let's just say it was an absolute nightmare. The waxing was uneven. And the tinting did not work or look right. The girl told me that sometimes it doesn't take to the hair and that she would have to try again. She then tried a third time and it literally looked like a child drew pain on my brows. She told me the k my solution was just filling them in daily or trying to use an oil based product to get it all off. I was so upset and anxious. They offered to give me one of their brow pencils for free to fill them in daily. Mind you they were also too dark for my skin and hair color. I went home and used a cold cream to scrub my brows to try to get it all off. Thankfully they began to fade and look more normal. But I cannot express enough how awful this technician and service was.

Living up to their namesake, that's exactly what your nether region will feel like after a wax at Smooth as Silk. Groupon brought me here. I've had the opportunity to try many waxing places because of it. Most estheticians I've gone to are usually independent and rent a space inside a salon building, but Smooth as Silk is actually a standalone waxing studio. And a beautifully decorated one at that -- reclaimed wood paneling and decor that made for a warm welcome. They even offer bottled water while waiting. A cleansing wipe is provided beforehand and a sheet drape for modesty after undressing. Tori did my wax. She was casual and friendly and turns out she's also the owner. So it goes without saying that I experienced a thorough wax. I'm bad at maintaining my brazilian schedule so it was as if it was my first time waxing, but it wasn't as painful as I anticipated.
