Use to love this place and stopped by to grab some food. The folks are nice and the bowls are good but practices are not sanitary. They wear gloves but they touch the fruit after touching everything in the store. The young man that was making food kept running his gloved hands through his hair, messing with his mask, ear and fixing his clothes. He even rolled up his shirt sleeves into his armpits. Really cute, popular place. Creative, healthy menu, although I'll know better what to order next time. The avocado toast was really pretty and I loved all The seeds, but it was way too salty. The blue smoothie was also really fun to look at, but the pineapple flavor overwhelmed the smoothie and it was the only flavor I could taste. They were so busy, I didn't want to bother them to make it over, so I brought it home and added more bananas, almond butter and date syrup and it was amazing. I'd like to see a few other smoothie flavors. I shared their salad and it was perfect. The acai bowls looked fabulous. read more

One of my favorite places around St. Louis so far to get an açaí bowl! Scroll down just a bit for review of just food. Interior/establishment: I cannot get over how much I love the interior design and overall atmosphere of this space! It has a minimalistic vibe to it, with a note of a rustic theme with some of the furniture and colors. Lots of seating available (really cool and comfy chairs/couches), but it may get a little crowded if there's a lot of people there. Well-lit with natural lighting too. Service: everybody was very friendly and welcoming - extremely helpful with menu items and questions and they were great on getting your order out in a timely manner. Food! It was my first time here, so what's a better way to judge an açaí bowl / smoothie place than by ordering a classic açaí bowl? First of all, this thing was huge. I split one with my roommate and we still had some left over for us to take home! The flavor of the açaí itself was perfect - not overly sweet, not too tart. Consistency was good too where it wasn't too frozen or too melty. Fruits were fresh and the granola just made the bowl for me. Pricing was a tad bit much for what I would typically want to pay for, but for an açaí bowl and the quality of what I got I feel like it was absolutely reasonable. Walked into this place on a Saturday and was blown away by the bright, hip and welcoming atmosphere. It was hard for me to decide what to try, but ended up with the juice of the day: orange, apple, lemon, ginger, and pear. The juice was so fresh and did me right as I felt a cold coming on. For prices like these I'd expect everything to taste good, be served with a smile, and use primarily organic ingredients. 1) Nope, 2) nope, and 3) nope. 1)The passionfruit smoothie didn't have much flavor (definitely too light on the passionfruit; also the mango they're using must not be very sweet bc it wasn't even naturally sweet tasting).. the edible flowers on top are pretty but also tasteless and also just a strange texture to try and chew when you're sipping a smoothie. 2) The service was mediocre at best. Not terrible, just not great. Definitely could be trained to be a bit friendlier and look the customer in the eye and smile when handing off the smoothie. Treat ppl like humans not just $$ 3) the banana boxes on the floor by the kitchen door and restroom made it very clear that this was all just conventionally-grown fruit and produce being used. Maybe that's why my smoothie was lacking in flavor. (I find there to be a taste difference usually between organic and nonorganic, organic usually having much more flavor.) Bananas are an inexpensive fruit to source organically, so I would minimally expect them to use organic bananas. But in terms of pesticide residues, berries and leafy vegetables are even more important to source organically to ensure we're eating the healthier option and also not ingesting poisonous substances that have been applied by the grower. When I'm paying $10 for a 16 oz smoothie, I expect any ingredients that can be sourced organically to be organic! I think it's a poor business choice to be in the juice and smoothie and açaí bowl business and not use and sell primarily organic products. Their menu does sound amazing so if I heard that they'd started to use organic ingredients (and even better - local when possible!), I would give them another try. Until then tho, I'll stick to the organic smoothies and juices I make at home (or get from the store) for a fraction of the price. read more

I have always wanted to try this place. I was given a giftcard to Hello Juice for Christmas and I was so excited to finally have the opportunity to go! My family and I stopped in yesterday around lunch time. The atmosphere is very cozy and friendly. The staff was not very friendly and barely communicated. We did not get greeted or thanked. They were out of many ingredients, leaving one of my family members with nothing to order. My mom ordered a smoothie. The employee informed her that they were out of apple juice and coconut milk and said that would have to use oak milk. This was no big deal. However, I ordered an açaí bowl, which did not have any acai in it. This was not communicated with me ahead of time and somewhat defeats the purpose of an acai bowl. I overheard them telling another customer they were out of almond butter. I understand that busy places can easily run out of ingredients, but they seemed to be out of a lot of their main ingredients. It was also disappointing to be served something that is missing the main ingredient. Overall - I was disappointed that a place that seems to promising would become a let down. I have been to other juice bars that have similar menu items that are far more welcoming and always make their products correctly. I hope this review only leads to positive changes that will allow me to give Hello Juice one more chance. read more

Met a coworker for a snack midday, the shop was bright and pleasant, I ordered the lavender bowl and she got a cup smoothie. For under 20 dollars we both had an excellent serving of fruits and grains, not to mention a wonderful mid-day pick-me-up. The smoothie bowls are gorgeous and make you feel at home. Service was kind and efficient, everything was streamlined and everyone attentive. Excellent location, right off the highway but without the bustling industrial feel, across the street is a green space and you're obviously in a neighborhood. We will both be back to try new things. I typically have no issue with Hello Juice but lately they have been neglecting the safety of their customers. There is a thief stealing purses and wallets off of the outdoor tables at the Hello Juice, and staff is not telling anyone even though they are aware. I got my purse stolen yesterday and found out just today from a mutual friend that someone else got their wallet stolen the very next day at the same time by the same person- these are obviously being planned as people there are easy targets. The girl who got her wallet stolen today was also sitting outside- that could've been prevented had the staff warned people sitting outside to be careful because they were aware of the incident from yesterday.
