Amazing local coffee shop. Beautiful place with tons of nooks and crannies to cozy up in. Delicious coffee, adore the seasonal flavors. Highly recommend! Great service too!

Such a cute and cozy environment with great service. I've never had a bad drink here! Just tried the strawberry cream iced latte. So good. Not too sweet or bitter. 10/10

Lovely little coffee shop in Alton. We like to visit the other locations as well. They have sooo many flavors/add-ins.

Decided to come here last minute since it was near our hotel and it did not disappoint! Staff were friendly and provided amazing recommendations. We should've gotten a large because how good their coffee was.

This place is so cute and the customer service is AMAZING!!! I love how I am able to drink the coffee here as it's allergy friendly. Came here 2 times while visiting family in the area. Not disappointed with the quality of the product, the price, and the customer service! Definitely will visit this place when in the area again!

Ube Latte out on the town

While in town, I wanted to do my best to support local businesses. My trip to Germania was well worth it. I have literally ran past this location and was intrigued by their drive up/drive thru concept of ordering, which appears to be well functioning. I was charmed by the interior which appears to be an old bank. The barista was very knowledgeable and recommended the limited time only Ube Latte, which I got frozen. It was very tasty and lasted a long time. I took my latte with my shopping on the Parkway and it lasted through several aisles of looking around. I'm looking forward to checking out the craft beer on a future visit.

I think about the monkey mocha every time I'm in Alton. I love this place. The coffee is amazing. It's one of those coffee shops you just have to sit down in and enjoy the vibe. They have a great menu and the staff is super helpful. Love the old building too. It's about $5 for a regular cup but that's about the price of any regular cup of coffee this coffee is actually worth the price

One of my favorite places to get coffee. It's nice to see a small business doing well in the community.

Lots of different seating available from couches, comfy chairs, tables, bars by the window, you name it. I ordered a banana bread latte and the lunch special which were the steak tacos. Both were great! Steak tacos were spicier than expected but it had good flavor. Lots of parking too which is a plus.

However, this review is about them, so let me focus on them only. If you go to Post Commons, you gotta get a biscuit. Their biscuits are homemade and they are delicious. My personal favorite biscuit sandwich is the Sausage. In addition to the sausage patty, it has cream cheese and pepper jam. The pepper jam is what really makes this sammie special. If you're wanting a more hearty breakfast, you can create your own plate with items from the A La Carte menu. I've created one with two scrambled eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes. The potatoes are cut into little cubes and fried to a crispy golden color. It's a great place to meet friends for a cup of coffee. The staff is cordial and makes you feel welcomed. Why go to a chain coffee shop, when you have a unique one in a old post office building? There is, no reason to go. When: February 4, 2026 Why: Biscuit Sandwich

Decided to check out the general store as soon as I saw it -- it's a cool, welcoming old building. The first floor is full of candy, chocolate, fudge, ice cream, and other treats. I picked out some candy and sampled some delicious Belgian chocolate bars. I bought one for me, but I'll be back in a few months for friends' birthdays, and to try the fudge myself. The ice cream flavors (about 8) were all unique -- you aren't getting a simple chocolate or vanilla here. The most common of the flavors available was a rainbow sorbet. I think some of the other flavors were Shipwreck, Pirate's Bounty, and Superman, though I may not be recalling the names accurately. The upstairs is full of home decor items, including a wall decorated to look like someone's front porch. The styles are cute, though not my speed, as I am something of a minimalist. You can read all about their business and the building's Worlds Fair history over on their facebook page. Hope to visit again soon.
