One little splash of color

I haven't been here in over a year. I used to come here every few months and grab a dozen for coworkers. Today while the speed was fine, the quality and selection of what I received was bad. The cases were fully stocked with EVERYTHING. All I asked for was a dozen, but no glaze. This was the most uninspiring dozen donuts I've ever seen. And on top of that, they were stale. Not coming here again.

Love the food here for quick stuff. Service is friendly and quick. Just like a donut shop would, they got everything you need to eat in the morning and noon

Strawberry banana supposedly but taste like iced milk.

Normally their strawberry banana smoothies are so good but I usually get them during the week on my way to work. I went on a Saturday morning this time and the smoothy had NO flavor. I can't drink it. I think the girl forgot to put in the sweetener syrup or whatever they use and the banana I asked for. I mean it tastes like ice and milk....i called and the girl didn't even offer to make a new one if I went or anything and these are pricy... anyway I would suggest go weekdays when normal gals are there.

I've been going to hello donuts for awhile since they're close to my job- I normally go in the mornings but decided to come at 5pm because I wanted a BLT. I waited in the drive thru line and window for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement even tho the lady was at the coffee machine that was next to the drive thru window and when I went inside I wasn't acknowledged for another couple of minutes until I coughed very very loudly a couple of times. Ordered my BLT and it came with cheese and onions which were not on the menu or mentioned and I basically wasted my entire lunch break for a sandwich I won't eat now. Also in the time it took me the write this review another car came and left because no one acknowledged them in the drive thru.....

The B-E-S-T cinnamon roll I have ever had + the Vietnamese coffee was so good, kept me going for hours after I was done. Service through the drive thru was friendly and quick. I will definitely go back soon!

Vietnamese coffee/ $2 off coupon found on the back of the food 4 less receipt in Santa Ana off Bristol and Warner

Got the Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious! Even came in a cool can. I had a coupon that I got from Food 4 Less on Bristol on the back of my receipt and decided to give it a shot. Clean and good vibes!

The Chinese food is okay. It is quick and down the street from work. Generally get the lunch special - 2 item + drink for $6

The raichi drink was good and the miso carbonara was creamy and the proportion of bacon to pasta was perfect. It is super cute inside as well, but the service was kinda slow because they only had one server for all the tables. I think it's important to compare this to Ini ristorante because I think with this place being new that it is quite similar to Ini especially with the japanese italian fusion concept. I would say it is basically the same price if not more expensive than if you were to go to Ini and I personally think the food, ambiance and service is better at Ini than here. So in the future, I would be open to going back and there was nothing wrong with the restaurant, but I would definitely choose Ini over momonoki just cause I feel like I get more with how much I spend.

Know where you're aiming to go. - There is a sister restaurant named Mono Yama two doors down ...cue to me walking in between aimlessly because my friend recommended the place and all i recalled was "momo". That said, the people were super nice in both places. You can tell it happens often. We went right as it opened, and we got seated right away. The menu is via a QRC on the table. We ordered 3 things - vongole pasta. Previously they offered it uni but this one had claims and shrimp. We also got the pesto and the calamari. Calamari was crispy but it also was slightly too salty and seemed to be a lot of batter. The calamari pieces were small. The pesto pasta was okay, but the pesto wasn't the traditional pesto. I couldn't put my finger on it but it must've been the dashi. The udon was cooked well though. Soft, definitely not al dente. This vongole was the biggest miss. It had a taste that we also couldn't figure out, but it was not enjoyable to eat. We left the meal very dissatisfied. The friend I went with, who has gone before, also agreed it was disappointing. As someone who hates to waste food, we were very close to leaving nearly half of each dish there. My friend ended up taking it back. Later that evening, we both were feeling off. Idk, perhaps it was a coincidence. In the end, it was a truly sad experience.

The only one she loved is a little far out called LJ's, so I decided to gamble on District 36. I met the owners when they first opened, good people who know what they are doing. The next gen trailblazing the way for Little Saigon. Saw they added a breakfast burrito, so I called in a to-go order: sausage + bacon + avocado (Valentine's Day splurge ). Gamble paid off. She loved it. This isn't just another bacon-egg-cheese wrap pretending to be special. They use tater tots instead of regular potatoes, so you get crispy + soft instead of mush. The sausage is the real twist, Vietnamese style, like bún chả pork: slightly sweet, savory, garlicky, lightly caramelized. Then the surprise: pickled veggies inside. That acidity cuts the richness and balances the whole burrito so it eats lighter than a typical gut-bomb breakfast burrito. It ends up tasting like a true Viet-American diner take on a SoCal classic, comforting but aromatic, familiar and sooo goood. Nice to finally have a worthy breakfast burrito option closer to home.

Service went well, checked in here and there, made sure we got our order. We tried three dishes and two drinks LAVENDER HAZE (Mocktail Version) - 3/5, very pretty, but tastes a bit watered down. Someone try the alcoholic version and let me know what it's like haha. BENCHMARK BLOODY MARY: 5/5 my friend liked it and it was spicy! ENCHILIDA SUIZAS, lobster + shrimp filling, corn, poblano cream sauce, pickled red onion, cilantro, queso fresco, I give 5/5, I enjoyed the combination of the sauce and enchiladas, it wasn't overcooked and had a great refreshing savory flavor. Plated very nicely, visually appealing. BULGOGI KIMCHI FRIED RICE, fried eggs, gochujang, green onion furikake, pickled radish, cilantro, I give 4/5, overall I enjoyed this plate, but I do feel the beef could have been slightly stronger in terms of flavor? The rice was holding all the spices and taste. DULCE DE LECHE FRENCH TOAST, crème fraîche chantilly, brûléed banana, chocolate sauce, maldon salt, I would give 5/5, presentation was beautiful, taste wise I really enjoyed it, had a very good balance of sweetness and not too strong. I know my ratings are less than a 5 in general, but I really felt the whole experience was pleasant, enjoyable, good food and good vibes, therefore 5 out of 5

For entrees, we ordered the grilled octopus al pastor, short rib ravioli, branzino, and the 24 oz ribeye. Every dish was flavorful and well executed. The pasta to filling ratio was spot on and every bite was excellent. For dessert, we ordered the espresso crème brûlée, which was rich, creamy, and well balanced. Gabriel also surprised us with a baklava cheesecake on the house, and our group could not stop talking about it. Combining baklava and cheesecake was a game changer. I later found out it was a special Sunday brunch created just for Mother's Day. Thanks to my daughter's reservation, we were seated right away. The menu selection was smaller than usual, probably because of the special brunch menu, but every tapas dish sounded delicious. We ordered the Castelvetrano olives, Galician smoked paprika octopus, French steak tartare, and Basque cheesecake, paired with a Fiero Spritz and Red Sangria. Both the octopus and steak tartare were outstanding. The Galician smoked paprika octopus was tender, flavorful, and carried just the right hint of spice. The French steak tartare was served on crispy toasted bread with cheese sprinkled on top -- a creative and delicious twist on a classic dish.
