When I left the appointment, my hair had been curled, which can easily mask issues with color or placement. It wasn't until I straightened it two days later that I saw the actual results, and it was clear that the outcome didn't match the inspo photos I shared or the conversation we had beforehand. I reached out right away with photos, and while the stylist responded kindly and offered to fix it, I ultimately decided I wasn't comfortable with another appointment. I was then told the salon doesn't offer refunds, and instead, the owner, who I did not book with would be the one to do the correction. As a first-time client, this doesn't sit well with me. I don't feel comfortable going back, and I don't believe I should have to. I am not asking for anything beyond a fair resolution, and a refund would allow me to go elsewhere and have the issue addressed by someone of my choosing. Out of respect, I won't name the stylist - I don't believe this policy is hers, and I know she's done great work for many others. But I do think the salon's refund policy and how this situation was handled deserve to be shared. I'm including photos (the inspo pictures and my result) so others can make their own judgment. Communication was poor, and when I did hear back, it was just excuses from Amanda instead of real updates. If you're someone who has to arrange childcare, this is especially frustrating. I ended up paying for extra hours I didn't need because of the delay. Most salons have strict cancellation policies for clients, but this salon seems fine canceling or pushing appointments less than an hour before. Overall, the scheduling needs serious improvement. I asked him politely (via text message) to please add a few more highlights and a toner to my hair, as one side looked different (lots more highlights and very yellow/brassy) than the other side (it was so noticeable that even my son's babysitter asked me about it). In response, he tells me that I looked like a disaster when I came to him (which was extremely rude and not even true). Then he tells me that his first appointment isn't for another six weeks. I politely responded that I was simply requesting a minimal correction, which was common courtesy in his profession. He responded by saying "good bye" and "you're blocked"!?! He also left me a scathing (and insane) voice message while I was feeding my toddler. I tried calling him back but he wouldn't respond. I'm honestly in shock right now. This man is in his 50s and claims to have been doing hair for decades. How he thinks he can treat people this way and still have clients is unfathomable to me. Oh, and he charged me $200 (would only accept cash) to do my hair at his house (which reaks of tobacco smoke) for this hair disaster that I'm going to have to pay someone else to fix for me. Overall worst experience I've had with haircuts, I read a review on another platform about the…read morestylist being late for cuts and apron arriving I was asked if I could wait 25 minutes until I could get my haircut so that the owner could leave to go somewhere. I waited no big deal to me but when she got back I showed her what I want and she said she could do what I asked for. She asked me if I wanted just a cut or a styling too to which I asked how much the styling would be. She said the haircut alone would be 45 but with styling it would total down to 112 dollars. (I asked to French bangs with long layers. I decided to just get a haircut because 112 dollars for this is outrageous. I sat down and got my haircut. There were no mirrors to see how she was cutting my hair and when I was done she had me get up to show me. The layers I asked for were not at all what I expected and parts of my bangs were uneven. I had to try and not cry because I already and horribly afraid of haircuts being ruined. I paid her and left but now I have no idea what to do because there are no ways at all I can fix or hide the cut myself. I have to go to someone else to fix it now. I can't hold back the tears since it takes forever to grow out my hair and I can't even clip them back to hide it. I really wish I would have listened to my gut feelings but that's my fault.
