Lanai w/ shading

I was kind of nervous adding shadings across my lanai but I have a friend that had good word about Ohana Shading Systems! My husband and I were so glad that Jon was super easy to work with and understood what we were looking for. We also appreciate how knowledgeable they are about certain materials they use in order for the best client satisfaction. I highly recommend Ohana Shading! Many of our family & friends also say it's a nice touch to our lanai!

We recently had a shade system installed by Ohana Shading Systems and Jon was very helpful from beginning to end. He was responsive to all our communication and the installation was done by an experienced team. Our roof needed some repair so they ensured it was done well prior to the shade installation. The quality of the product looks good and we are happy with the warranty. It really feels like we gained additional space to our house!!

Update to review. Well John came out and took care of the situation it was all I wanted I can now get drunk comfortably without having to look at weather trim 4 star rating was only because of the wait but we could blame it on Biden but he said it's not his fault. Thanks John

You see the water leaking down from the framing.

This company is all marketing and not delivering good service. Lack of transparency, professionalism, and communication. Installation crew are NOT trained well. They DON'T take good care of their customers and are more focused on sales and making a quick buck. This long review will explain why: Like a lot of locals, I've seen their Ohana Shading Systems ad on Television (the one with the young people saying how hot it was in their car and that they should contact Ohana Shading Systems). And that's where my long struggle dealing with this company began. During the summer of 2021, I contacted them and got a quote from a guy name Justin for a double carport. Not sure why some of these comments mention a John or Johnathan (maybe they changed ownership?). Anyways, Justin got back to me and made a time to look at my place to see how a Carport can fit in my driveway. He took pictures and got back to in a week or so with a picture with the proposed design. At this time, my family thought about the costs of this system (FYI it ain't cheap) and thought whether it was worth it compared to building a carport from lumber. Because the system looked nice and modern, my mom told me to contact their competitor before settling with Ohana. Their competitor, ('Carports...'; feel free to check out my review on their page), was very pleasant and honest about how the system worked and the process. But because the prices were about the same we went with Ohana because Justin offered me a discount (and how I regretted it). The discount was not worth the pain I am still experiencing now dealing with Ohana. Believe me, this sketchy company is all about marketing and selling you the system without promising on what they said. And I was gullible to say okay when he told me the system had a 10 year warranty. Warning, they just have you sign an order form and NO contract, nor warranty information is given. You give him a check and you're expected to pay the other half when it arrives. When the system came into port 6 months after (because of the delay due to pandemic) we were scheduled for an installation and it took them about two days to do it. Not complaining about that, as long it was done right. But it wasn't. We paid the installation guy (something I wish I did with credit card because that guy immediately cashed in my check the day of). The carport leaked water (SEE picture) when it rained and we had a contractor friend looked at it and said this may be because the system's shade was concaving and extra support was needed. It was a headache contacting Justin about having it repaired in a timely manner. Their excuse was the installation guy was busy with other installations. And that's fine as long as they communicate with me on a day in the near future for them to take a look. And what really got me off was that Justin said it should be a simple fix and it would only take 15 minutes!? But it didn't . When the same installation guy from before finally came back to look at it, it poured with rain after a few inspections and he started blaming Justin for ordering insufficient support columns. So there were a lot of phone calls with him and his boss. So that installation guy left and told us that Justin or John (the one everyone was talking about in other reviews) would get back to me. Soon after, Justin texted me and told me he's sending a different installation guy to come and see if they can do a temporary fix until they ordered another support beam and columns. The new installation guy came and said he couldn't do a temporary fix with the lumber he brought and told us he'll come the next day with another guy to move the support beam and columns closer to each other (as well as install extra downspouts/drainage pipe which the last guy did not do). So the next day came and they were able to moved them. This prevented the system from concaving but it still leaked after we found out the hard way when he left. Justin to order me a new beam/support columns that came months after. Installation guy called to say he will come assemble it but after a few phone calls with him, he never got back to me on a set date. I contacted him a few more times after that in October but no phone return. As of November 2022 (almost a year since we had it assembled), haven't heard back from installation. Definitely, don't consider this sketchy inept company. It's not worth the costs, time, and the product is less than mediocre at best.

We LOVE our shading canopy system. Our installers were awesome! Jack, Jean, and Tim did a wonderful job on the installation as well as considering all of what we were wanting in it! They were very thorough from start to finish. This system meets all of our needs very well. We needed water off of a lanai that would leak in the rain. We didn't have very much height to work with but this system went right over our roof giving us the added height. We wanted something that still allowed us to feel like we were outside. We can see the clouds, the stars, and passing planes etc. through it. It also reduces the hot day's sun making it very comfortable during the day as well as shading our home and keeping it from heating up too much. Jon did a great job in helping us get the right system. It is sturdy and made to handle our weather, even the hurricanes here. Jack even reinforced the connection to our home where I worried more about the construction of our home compared to the strength of the system. It was worth the wait!!

The perfect addition to our home! Lets in the perfect amount of light while blocking all the UV rays and heat. All of the staff was quick and responsive, and there's so many options to choose from. For how big a job this was we were pleasantly surprised at how quick the installation team worked! All around would recommend.

We've recently moved into a townhome with a wonderful outdoor living space between main building…read moreand garage. We wanted to create an inviting outdoor living space we could use year round. We searched many website, had contractors give us quotes and decided to build a pergola ourselves. My wife (through all her internet searches and research) came across "Cover Your Pergola". After talking to the sales team, Johnny, we decided to purchase their product. Johnny was great and treated us as if he's known us for years. We discussed the size of the pergola we built, with some recommendations from Johnny, purchased all we would need on a Monday, we were told we'd have the product by Friday. We received the product on Wednesday and began the process of installing the pergola cover. I called Johnny a few times to help with a couple items, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. We finished the product on Thursday (fairly easy to install). See pictures, below (before and after). We are very pleased with the company, product and staff. I would recommend "Cover Your Pergola", if you'd like to have shade and stay out of the elements under your pergola.
