    Trio Meat Flatbread

For years I didn't know Hell 'n Blazes served food. Blame it on friends who always chose this establishment as a drinks destination. My brother and his friends decided to grab an early dinner together. The bar... restaurant?... is clean and the staff are all very friendly. I ordered the trio meat flatbread and a side Caesar. The flatbread was fine, but I would probably not order it again when the menu has some other great-sounding options. The Caesar was delicious! My brother and all of his friends ordered the club sandwich (all making different changes so the kitchen is quite accommodating). They have all gotten it a couple times before so I would say they'd recommend it! We were hoping to try the bread pudding, but a table right before us scooped the last one. I would definitely like to come back and try more of the menu.

I thought I had reviewed this place , but apparently not. Even though we went to Melbourne to celebrate my wife's birthday, I had bookmarked this brewery as a must stop for myself. Based solely on pics of their food. And I'm glad we stopped in. After spending a half day at the zoo, we worked up quite the thirst and we were both pretty hungry. My wife was heading to a closer place , but I convinced her to drive an extra mile . Great looking interior with a huge bar , plenty of tables and lots of TVs. Our friends surprised us , they were sitting at the bar when we walked in. Our server was great. I started out with a 4 beer flight . I ordered the brisket grilled cheese, and my wife ordered an amazing burger , cooked to perfection with lots of cheese. Everything was delicious including the beer. We all had a great time watching a nfl playoff game. Only thing I would add to the menu , would be a bowl of tomato bisque soup, as a compliment to my grilled cheese sandwich. I have been to a few breweries, Hell'n Blazes is on my top 3 list. A must stop.

A nice hidden gem in downtown Melbourne. My brother and I stopped by after spending the day in the area. We were both surprised how big the brewery and restaurant were. It's very welcoming with a lot of fun decor. Many housemade brews were available. Food was a little bit pricier than expected but very tasty. Service was stellar. Definitely will to come back soon.

We absolutely love this place and never miss it when we visit are close to Melbourne. The new patio is lovely and our dog Lulu loved hanging out with us for our Sunday Brunch. My dad had the sausage biscuits (a-mazing!) and I had the chicken and waffles. The description on the menu didn't do it justice! The blueberry compote, Calabrian honey butter and pecan(?) syrup were unbelievable! And the smoked fish dip is ALWAYS a favo

Stopped by after a long day and this place hit the spot. I tried three different beers: Todd's Crumb Catcher (my favorite), the Oktoberfest, and the Sap Tap. Todd's was smooth, nutty, and just the right kind of bold without being too heavy. The others were solid too, but Todd's earned the spotlight. My brother had the Northern Flow Lager and loved how clean and crisp it was. His girlfriend went for the tequila flight, and judging by her smile halfway through, I'd say that was a success too. For food, we went with the Cajun gator bites and fried pickles. Both were excellent, but those gator bites... easily one of the best versions I've had anywhere. Crispy outside, tender inside, and the dipping sauce brought some serious flavor. The whole vibe inside is chill and welcoming. It's got that "locals and travelers mixing over good drinks" energy, and the staff kept things moving even with a busy crowd. If you find yourself in downtown Melbourne, hit up Hell 'n Blazes. Order a Todd's Crumb Catcher and the Cajun gator bites. Trust me, they don't miss.

Hell'n Blazes has become a standard stop on our way home from the Orlando area. I have never had a bad beer or food item here. The burgers are delicious and cooked to temp. Service has always been amazing. The inside is a huge space including a back room and now they have a patio area.

Wow. Just wow. This place is incredible. Both the brews and the food were top notch. We all had flights and not a single one was less than fantastic. Our waitress was super helpful and expertly helped guide us through our selections. The places is open with a great welcoming vibe. If you are a craft beer fan and are in the area do yourself a favor and check this place out you won't be disappointed!!! If I could give this place a 6th star I would!!!

While exploring Melbourne we stumbled upon Hell 'n Blazes Brewing, and just from the window and a quick look outside we knew that this would be a place we wanted to go for lunch. Upon entering we are warmly welcomed and found ourselves some seats by the window staff are very friendly and very helpful with our questions and requests. The place was large, well designed and had a fun vibe. The menu had multiple interesting sounding items on it and there was a huge variety of beers on tap too. I settled on the bacon bourbon jam chicken breast sandwich which knocked my socks off, it was tasty, unique and a great portion size! The food was definitely a five-star experience the only thing that I would note about it it was a little more expensive but it did feel justified because of the quality of the food hence the four-star review. We're looking forward to visiting again on our next trip back to Melbourne and trying out some other items and drinks on the menu.

First the service was good and polite, they make you feel like a good friend that they missed and now they want to catch up with you but it's not at all over bearing. The food selection is superb for a bar/brewery. And of course you can taste test your beer before buying it and there are rail drinks. The food is priced right, a good size and taste good...I'm saying great but you will leave satisfied. I would go back for sure. The restaurant is a bit noisy but it's a bar dam* it, It should be. It's a nice looking place that yes is a bar and they have a private room for events.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable brewery. The food was well-paired and approachable. Something for everyone. Extensive beer selection, all delicious. Large space with quick service. Huge bar and cozy seating all around. Great location.

Highly recommend for group outings. Top-notch bar vibe with a welcoming atmosphere. Craft cocktails were well-made and not watered down -- my Old Fashioned and Long Island Iced Tea were both strong and balanced. Gator bites and the creamy fish dip made excellent shareable appetizers. Service was quick and courteous. Great for casual nights, happy hour, and groups looking for solid drinks and dependable bar food.

A rustic bar with a fabulous menu!! Located in downtown Melbourne, just by the railroad tracks is a brewery that offers so much more than beer! I've been told about this place for years, but bars are not my scene so I've waited it out until the right occasion came along. It did! A group of friends wanted to go so I was down and I'm so glad I went! The place has so much charm! Very open concept with some game rooms and private event space towards the back. Their woman's bathroom has won awards and now I see why! Colorful, artistic and very very clean! Service was wonderful. Quick and helpful and plenty of great suggestions to be given. I ordered the beer flight. Their beers are so unique and it was so much fun trying so many flavors for around $10. The special was the Venison Back-strap... I had to! I ordered it rare and it came out perfect. So much flavor and tender as a filet. I dream about that steak now. The Mac n cheese was rustic and baked and oh so yummy! Classic Caesar on the side. It can be a bit loud, but if you want a great quality meal made by very talented chefs but also just want to chill and have a beer, make sure you go to Hell 'n Blazes!

We got up early on Christmas Eve and opted to find a cool breakfast place. After a few minutes in Yelp, we found Backwater which is nestled in Historic Downtown Melbourne. Parking should not be a problem but if you can't find some on your he street their is a public parking garage not to far away. Upon arrival we were seated pretty quickly and all the staff were very friendly. Our server Amy was awesome and recommended a few breakfast items that were awesome. We opted for the Greek breakfast and the Cuban Benedict which were both fresh and excellent. We also split their seasonal Cinammon pancake as well which was great as well. Pancakes are huge so make sure you leave some room if you plan on having one. All portions were healthy as well, no skimping at Backwater and everyone was in the Christmas spirit as well which was awesome! The atmosphere is friendly, laid back and welcoming which is great if you are from out of Town. So if you are in the area, make sure you check them out for breakfast or lunch. I am sure you will not be disappointed! **INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Most of my fellow Yelpers know if food were categorized by a genre, breakfast and brunch has a special place in my heart. Ergo, I am on the constant search for more breakfast and brunch places to add to my repertoire. With that in mind, I must stress that Historic Downtown Melbourne a.k.a. Melbourne Main Street has an amazing number of breakfast and brunch places. But the one I admire the most is The Roots Restaurant Tavern, which I will shorthand simply to The Roots for the remainder of this review. Though an address is provided, it must be stressed The Roots is a little "off the mainstreet" of Melbourne Main Street. Just west of the train tracks, the road splits in which the northernly direction is the continuation of New Haven Ave. or the actual Melbourne Main Street. The Roots is on the southern road, right next to The Iron Oak. Take note that The Roots is quite a cozy location. On the outside, The Roots has this look of an old saloon out in the wild west. There are a few tables and chairs for outdoor seating, excellent for people-viewing while eating your meal. Inside, The Roots looks delightfully tacky with all the knick-knacks hanging around and about on the walls. Imagine how Cracker Barrel used to look before the new CEO decided the decor should be more minimalist. But my statement on how The Roots looks small from the outside definitely shows when you are inside, too. The place is small. They definitely utilize the space as best they could, with large party seating being in the back for only one party. Still, take note of this limitation. My waitresses were very kind and attentive when serving me. But I am sure you all want to know about the food. The times I have eaten here, I have had three meals: The Eggs Benny Flight, and Pancake Flight, and Shrimp n' Grits. I will detail each in the pictures of food (if I have them), but I will say that everything here was delicious. My one lone criticism is that some of these flights are best enjoyed with another, not by yourself. On a sidenote, the restroom is clean and stocked, but there is only one and it is unisex. As I said earlier, The Roots is the best breakfast and brunch restaurant, well for me, in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So it is understandable why I am giving them a five-out-of-five stars for their review. Food, service, and ambiance are all excellent and the issues are way too minimal for me to consider them having any major affect. If you are ever going to eat at The Roots only once. My suggestion are the flights. Either eggs bennies, pancakes, or mimosas, you can't go wrong with any of them.

It's a cute place and fun to go to. I got the pancake flight and loved I could pick different…read moreflavors

See the pics. It still looks like a spare bedroom. The ceiling is falling in! There's black mold around the vent. My back was to a closet covered by a curtain. Service. They tried, but, were woefully understaffed. There were dirty plates stacked in the floor. The drinkware was plastic. The Mai ti tasted like blackberry. The Long Island ice tea tasted like lemon juice. My old fashioned was just whiskey on the rocks with an orange slice. We ordered the pretzel appetizer. Cheese was good, but the pretzel was a hoagie roll. When the server brought dinner, she thumped the plates on the other side of the table. I got up and moved them to where we were sitting.
