I made an appt for 10:30am. Got there and a lady said no u were supposed to be here at 11:00 so come back then. So I left thinking maybe I was wrong on the time. So I go back at 11:00 and a different lady said u were supposed to be here at 10:30 and said she was in the back and the lady had told me wrong and it WAS supposed to be at 10:30. So she said come back at 12:00. So I get there at 12:00 and she says I'm going home because of my kids. And can u come back later today. So there was 3 visits wasted and I said I will never be back and that I'm going to leave this review. If I could leave zero stars I would for running me around for an hour and a half only to tell me she's leaving. read more

My nails there were done by Evelyn, which she did a great job, and they look fabulous. because of the owner, whom came in and was just rude kept asking when the nail tech would be done with me, interrupting I found the atmosphere to be quite stressful and despite the fact that my nails are great, I won't be coming back. read more

Well, no wonder she has such terrible reviews. I called for a first time appointment and she asked me twice where I lived (not in Bishop, but Bridgeport) and "didn't know" when she would have a next appointment. I asked if it would be tomorrow or this weekend... And she said I don't know, where do you live again? I told her she was a terrible businesswoman after asking three times for the next available appointment and hung up. read more

Helena is too rough and cut my toe. Plus when I walked in she immediately changed the price from $25 to $35. Helena was on FaceTime speakerphone loudly for my entire pedicure. I will never return to Helena's Nail Spa even if it was free! read more

Agree with first review and wasnt going to write one until i read that. I went in to get pedi and asked her if she cleans and disinfects both basin and tools between clients. She stared at me then tersely replied " I clean everything" . I said "ok" and then she snapped " where you from?" Like that has anything to do with it or is any of her business anyway! I walked out. Looks like chop shop nail salon. read more

I dropped in to Helena's Nail Spa for a Mani/Pedi after hiking the JMT; in all honesty, my nails were in extremely bad shape and desperately needed some attention. And at the end of the appointment, I was pleased and grateful for some hands and feet that looked pretty and clean. That said, I would not recommend this establishment. My biggest complaint is that the prices taped on the window are not accurate. I do shop around, and it said $20 for a pedi and $10 for a mani. Once I was sitting in the chair with wet feet, the owner mentioned (with hard-to-understand english) that real prices were on the pink paper on the wall, $45. She claimed her husband hadn't fixed the window yet -- which is a lie. That's outright false advertising that still makes me mad when I think about it. read more

Do not go here! Helena is rude - she was late for my appointment, spent half of my pedicure talking on the phone, and made disparaging comments about another salon I frequent in town. Painful pedicure - She was rough with her clippers and cut the skin under my nail causing pain and possibility of infection. There was nothing relaxing about this experience and I regret going. read more

Came in here to get a gel manicure. It was not a good experience at all. The lady was very rough on my fingers, and seemed very rushed. She had a very small selection of colors and hen I asks if I could have one finger glittery, she said it would be $2 more per nail, so I just got the French tip, she rushed through it and did a very sloppy job. I told her that I wanted her to fix them and she said they were fine told me "I've been doing this for 6 years and no one has ever complained" She also told me at the end that since in using a card she's going to charge me two dollars more. NEVER going here again. Bad service read more

I called and made an apt for my daughter and I on Saturday and it was wonderdul. Very nice and quiet and she did a great job (pedicure) on both ofour feet. Took her time, we will certainly cone back. We had walked into one of the other salons and was quickly told we couldnt be seen till later in the week. When i asked of any other places they rudely said no. Shame a towm should support one another. Give this place a chance! read more

Me and a friend came here to get a pedicure, the service was alright but our pedicurist was a little rough. My feet didn't exactly feel good afterwards, my big toe actually hurt for several minutes afterward. I loved the paint kid she did but I can't say much about the rest. It was my first pedicure so I'm not sure if I'm expecting to much or not. read more

This lady is very unprofessional. Called in on a weekday too see if she had any openings. She first asked what services I needed. (I assumed she needed to know beforehand so she could properly schedule me in) I stated "One Gel Mani and one Gel Pedi." Anyone who gets gel, should understand this takes more time then regular polish. She asked if I could make it to her in 3 minutes. I agreed. Even though it took me 8 minutes to get in my car and drive over. Once I walked in, she was the only person there, mopping circles around her store, "pretending" to look busy. I introduced myself as being the person she just spoke with on the telephone. She then stated "Sorry, I don't do." And all of a sudden had been booked up and had no time. I didn't see anyone else in her salon, nor did I see anyone come in after me. I just left and decided it was better to write a review and let other patrons know your business may not be accepted by Helena for whatever reason she may have. Very upset my nails are still without Polish. :( read more

i enjoyed helena's very much. my freind sue recommended and i found the service to be affordable, prompt and professional. it is low key-,business like and little conversation. the proprietor is Vietnamese but her english is good. i am 64 with feet beat up by sandals and boots, hands with watercolor stains and (some) weeding. i will go back, more often than i am accustomed to. read more

I love Helena's Nail Spa! Her rates are very reasonable and the polish lasts. Some places take over an hour for a mani pedi, but only about 45 minutes here. she is friendly and always remembers your name. Sure go ahead and pay almost $100 for a mani pedi, but if you are smart...and I know you are...you will go and visit Helena's Spa. read more

STAY away!! I ventured from my usual salon, (Body & Soul) as I just needed a quickie mani/pedi before leaving town. BIG MISTAKE. First of all, there was an advertised special - $25 for a mani/pedi - well, you get what you pay for, right? Not only did she cut me (to the point of bleeding), not once, not twice, but THRICE, she used bottom-of-the-line products that were most likely purchased from a dollar store. Including rubbing alcohol. REALLY?! Who uses that for a mani/pedi - Pretty sure it DRIES the skin out. Also, during my pedicure, she asked if I would like a flower on my big toe, sure why not? She tells me AT THE END of my "service" she's sorry, she forgot to tell me, that will be extra. oh....okay? I guess that is partially my fault for not ASKING, but honestly, if you are charging EXTRA for anything, I think it should always be disclosed. She has very poor english, but makes a point to really try and chat during the whole procedure. Honestly, I just like to kick back & relax and maybe read a magazine during "spa" treatments. It was the opposite of a relaxing experience - it was WORK (trying to communicate) and it was painful. The fact that the word SPA is used in the business name is just wrong. I would've given negative stars if it were an option. read more
