So many pretty plants, beautiful architecture, and animals fill this park. It was great to visit and enjoy the views and surroundings at Heisler Park. This park really complements the coastal beach views around the area.

This park has been on my bucket list for years. Finally, took the time to drive up there with a couple of my friends before heading out to lunch. Our main purpose is to put in our steps while embracing the spectacular ocean views. That didn't work out because we decided to walk down to the beach instead and relax just listening to the crashing waves. So soothing to our ears while we ease our mind into a calm setting. There were some caves to explore also great for pictures as a backdrop. We didn't get the chance to check out the tide pools area, but will definitely do that next time. The park was super clean with lots of nice grassy areas. Little arts and artifacts were displayed throughout the park. Very intriguing to see while strolling along the miles stretch of the pathway. I will absolutely return in the future for some peace and majestic ocean views.
This is my favorite place to go visit and take family and friends that are visiting me from out of town too. Hands-down, absolute favorite spot! Year-round it is just absolutely stunning. Parking can be a little tough on weekends but still manageable. And this gorgeous walk and beach are literally right next to downtown Laguna Beach.
10.11.25 - visited this place for the first time and wow, it was beautiful! It's a great place to go for a walk and get in some exercise or to relax and hang at. You can go down to the beach as well. There are many spots where you can stop at and just take in the view. My favorite spot was the view from the gazebo. At the time I visited, there was a violinist playing in the gazebo. That was nice. We parked over by Urth Cafe since we ate there before walking over. Parking was a bit tough to find. We had to circle around a few times. I'm not sure if it was as packed in other areas around the park but I imagine it was.
Heisler Park is one of the best parks in Laguna beach! It's pretty large for a beach park. It has a clear walking path,places to sit down to look out at the ocean, and bbq pit areas. Very clean! Plenty of restrooms to use and are clean as well. This area is safe as well. Laguna beach police are actively around to monitor the area. Also, the park is dog friendly. My favorite part are the sunsets you will be able to get a spectacular view of the sunset from any point in the area.
I came here around 6pm to walk and get my steps in. I saw a video on IG about Heisler Park touting it as the best park in OC and calling it a "hidden gem" . Well it's no hidden gem but it's absolutely beautiful. Keep in my that it is a park so there a picnic tables and a grassy area and most importantly the Pacific Ocean is your backdrop. Yes, you can fully access the beach from the stairs leading to the beach. My only issue was parking. It gets crowded so it may take a minute to find a parking spot. There is metered parking until 7pm daily payable by cash or credit card. I did see a trolley running down the main road adjacent to the beach. That might to use instead of fighting with parking. Overall. I really this park. It's families but it's also very romantic!
Great place to come to during the day for picnics. Bring your doggies for walks and to meet other doggies. Or just come on a late night romantic walk to listen to the waves. My favorite go to place for a late night drive to and get away and reflect.
Seems to be a popular place for hanging out and photo shoots. There's an upper level with grass and benches where you can see the ocean, and then the actual beach down some stairs where you can walk, lounge in the sand and watch the surfers, seagulls and more. There are restaurants alongside the beach as well with nice views.
Interesting I've never reviewed Heisler before. A great place to enjoy the beach, from sun up to sun down. There's tide pools, decent waves, great scuba diving, and just an all around good place to enjoy Laguna from! :)
Heisler Park is so breathtakingly beautiful, that every time I go here (even though I only live 10 minutes away), I feel like it's the first time! I've traveled the world, and I will say, it is one of the most spectacular pieces of land anywhere on earth. The beauty is on par with Maui, it actually feels like you're in Hawaii when you are there! It truly takes your breath away, and clears the mind of any stress. It's such an enjoyable pathway to walk your dog and just soak in the breathtaking vistas. The lush greenery, the beautiful trees, flowers and plants, everything is perfection! They also have easily accessible and clean public bathrooms. It's such a great place to go with family, have a picnic, read a book, meditate, do yoga, just spend time go & inward. You want to be completely present and soak in the natural beauty! It is a must see destination for anyone who loves nature, the ocean, marine life, and amazing positive energy! I spend a lot of time here and always enjoy myself thoroughly. If you're having a bad day, go to Heisler Park!

Was brought out here by my brother, we were going to a Global Underwater Explorers 2024 community day! We came early morning to set up at the bbqs and score about four to six picnic tables for all the scuba divers. Really clean and safe park with breathtaking views of the ocean. I enjoyed a short walk up and down the park looking at the sculptures and people walking their cute dogs. A family friendly park, I felt really at peace and relaxed after taking in the fresh air. Wonderful temperature at this time of year just can have a bit of the coastal marine layer that makes the sky grey but burns off as the day gets on. Parking is metered, so make sure you put enough time as the metermaids are in full force at this neighborhood. Trust you will get a ticket if you have anything from expired tags or go over the limit!
Heisler Park is one of the most beautiful oceanfront parks in Southern California. The views here are absolutely stunning. There are scenic paths along the cliffs, palm trees, tide pools, small hidden beaches, and incredible sunsets -- all in one place. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing walk by the ocean. I especially like coming here around sunset. The light over the ocean is beautiful and it's a great place for photos or just to sit and enjoy the view. There are also grassy areas that are perfect for a small picnic while watching the ocean. Parking is usually metered nearby, but the park itself is free to visit. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Laguna Beach. read more

What a beautiful park. I was two weeks postpartum and wanted to challenge myself to step out of the house with our fresh newborn. We took a drive out to Laguna Beach to enjoy some fresh air and it was just beautiful. I loved coming here to walk around safely with my newborn. We brought the bassinet with us and it worked out perfectly for our stroll. Also, the beaches here are beautiful! I felt like I was in Hawaii for a second. read more
Heisler Park is located in Laguna Beach and offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. It has miles of coastline and beaches throughout to relax. The park also has BBQ pits, picnic tables, and restrooms. The tables make the park a great place to have a picnic and take in the sights. There are some pockets of parking but it's mostly street parking where you pay on the meters or conveniently on your phone. It's a really beautiful park and beach that offer walking paths to enjoy their beauty. read more

Heisler Park is a beautiful place to visit at Laguna Beach. There are a lot of people walking, some with their dog, and people to and from beaches below. There are plenty benches to sit down and enjoy the view. It's an oasis to spend a couple of hours on a scorching hot day. Ocean breeze and sounds of the ocean have a magical power that cleanses the mind and spirit. The traffic wasn't bad when I drove down around 2pm. There were ample parkings on weekdays. Personally I avoid come here on weekends when it is very crowded. Laguna Beach has a parking app by Frog Parking I downloaded to my phone to pay for parking. The drive leaving the beach was heavier but no worth than 405 or 91 during rush hours. My recommendation is move to the left lane quickly to avoid merging traffic. read more
Nice little park with sandy and grassy areas. Access to the beach, lifeguard towers. Plenty of shops/restaurants in surrounding areas. There's also a playground for the kids. Didn't have time to explore the beach as much during this visit but it seems pretty popular for locals and tourists alike. read more
Heisler Park can be summarized in one word: picturesque. The views of the ocean are breathtaking and are post card perfect. The beaches here are a brilliant blue and surrounded by lush flowers and palm trees. The pictures don't do it justice. It is literally heaven on Earth. read more
Heisler park in Laguna Beach nearby Las Brisas Mexican restaurant to the West. Good to stroll and also to take breathtaking views of Sunrise and Sunset and basically anytime in between. Go down the steps to the beautiful beach area where huge rocks are together with the water. Great photo op to fulfill you Instagram Quota. read more

We drove more than 2 hours to get there and more than 2 hours back home. It was worth it! Heisler park is a quaint clean and delightful park overlooking an astounding sandy beach with clear water and rock formations. It is perfect for families and friends or artists or simply anyone. There isn't much shade so bring your own. It also suitable for picnics. On a weekday, parking was easy to find. There are meters that charge 2 dollars per hour with a 4 hour limit. Look at the photos and enjoy! read more

Stunning Views & Pure Laguna Vibes Heisler Park is the kind of place that makes you stop and soak it all in. The ocean views are absolutely breathtaking, and the walking paths are beautifully maintained with flowers, art, and ocean breezes everywhere you turn. We grabbed a spot on a bench and just watched the waves roll in... total bliss. You can wander down to the beach or just enjoy the scenery from above. It's peaceful, photogenic, and everything you want from a coastal escape. Parking can be tough, but it's worth the effort. A must-visit in Laguna! read more
Awesome little park with great views. Theres only a few parking spots and one round seating area with a couple benches but I went when it was empty (later in the day) so it was perfect. Will definitely come here again when in the area read more

This is a really nice park to walk around in Laguna. It overlooks a beautiful beach. There is beautiful art work to see in the park. It also has a lot of picnic tables. There were a lot of people there throwing parties which was nice to see. They also have an amphitheater with Sunset Serenades. If you would like to go for free park at Lot 16 and take the free trolley. read more

No joke, this park was incredible. I read that it was stroller, friendly, and indeed it was. You can park on various meters some have different time limits. It's essentially a walkway/cliff above the ocean, where you can walk freely and then if you walk down enough, you go into the quaint downtown area. There was one area, however, and trying to go to the downtown region, that was stairs that we had to pick up our stroller. I am sure though if we adjust ourselves, there was a workaround. We passed by a restaurant called Brisas that seem to have a nice view of the area if you also wanted to go for a meal. There was another side of stairs that can bring you right to the beach. There were these cool signs right next to an area that tide pool, so you can have a DIY experience of sorts. There was a slight smell to the beach I thought, but that happens. There is also a playground right before you get into the downtown area, I wish we had more time to explore. These were some of the most amazing views I've ever seen in my life. Seriously, every photo is picture. I definitely hope to be back here. read more

We stayed on main beach .. this beach is adjacent and park looks down on the beach. Both the park and beachvare beautiful and worthva visit. Great for photography. Exploring tide pools. Its VERY close to main beach and there are steps to go down ti the beach. read more

We came on a weekday, late morning and found parking easily. I enjoyed the waterfront pathway. On the paved pathway, we walked pass four beaches- Diver's Cove, Picnic Beach, Rockpile Beach, and Main Beach. The park also has benches, picnic tables and barbecues. A picnic would've been a great idea. There are also restaurants located along the way with beachfront views. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed our time here! read more

Heisler Park is one of the most beautiful places I've strolled in SoCal. Parking is a bit difficult, either look for one of the lots or street parking. There are various shops nearby if you want to do some snacking or shopping but stroll along the coast here. Listen to the waves, watch the beautiful blue ocean and sky. The cliffs and the water just give it such a gorgeous view. Want to get out of the sun a bit? There is also a shaded gazebo with bench. A must-see altho I almost don't want to write this so I can enjoy the view without a crowd haha read more

Heisler park is a must visit beach location in Laguna beach ,CA. This place offers so many amazing views and plenty of options for any occasion. The park offers plenty of seating area throughout the park, picnic tables , grills , public restrooms, showers , beach access, and restaurants all within walking distance. I love coming here for picnics overseeing the ocean, walks along the beach and can't forget about paint and sips here, that's a perfect activity at this park! There's so much art offered throughout the park . Best place for beautiful amateur and professional photography! Definitely top tier beach in southern California. Good family friendly location. Open late night for romantic walks. Very safe place with free public street parking. read more

Can you ride bikes?
You can ride a bicycle to the park, but I'm unsure whether you can ride in the park. It's mostly a path along a coastal cliff.
Is tables and grills available now?
Yes everything is back and available. I've been seeing bdays on weekends so go early to secure a spot.
How close are the bathrooms to the beach?
There are two sets of bathrooms. Both located a few hundred feet from the beach.

There is a slight grade to walk down.

Yes , I see people walking their dogs all the time. On a leash of course.......
Are there any areas with shade to have a picnic and just look out at the view?
There are picnic areas with BBQ stands . There are trees in the park , but the picnic area is pretty much non - shady. Beautiful views and nice breezes. Great place to picnic.
Is there a spot near here where I can park my car to do a car picnic and over look the beach from?
You will receive a parking fine if back your car into the parking spaces at Heisler Park.
What time should I get there on a Saturday to get a bbq and picnic table?
Try yo get there early as the weekend is busiest and there is limited metered parking adjacent to the park.

Heisler Park has quite a few bbq and picnic areas!
Does this beach have fire pits? How many?
I went twice and I didn't see any fire pits.
