This park is truly a gem! When we visited, there happened to be a free circus performed by Circus Bella! It was such a treat for both kids and adults at the park! The playground facilities are also wonderful! There are something for all age groups! Our 5 and 2 year old loved it. They also have restrooms inside the park with multiple stalls. I also loved that the park is gated! So little ones shouldn't be able to run out of the park as easily. read more

Really nice park! It's a little hidden gem. My son loved riding his bike around on the path and checking out the slides that are hidden in the hillside. The rocketship tower was also a huge hit! Plenty of shade, and a big open grass area that would be great for playing sports or even a picnic. The park was clean for the most part, as well as the restrooms. Laguna Beach does not have many parks but so glad they have this one! Parking is street parking. You can find the park through a metal gate. This park is enclosed and spacious. There's a nice grassy and scooter/bike trail along with two play structures for ages 2-13. read more

Love that it's for the most part completely enclosed. The back side of the stairs lead to the streets. Plenty of space for all ages to play with grassy area to picnic out on. Bathrooms are clean. Free parking along the street/neighborhood. Trash cans aren't over flowing. Great clean park! read more

Very spacious and enjoyable park in a residential neighborhood. Some slides are made of metal and will burn your kids' legs though so watch out if they're wearing shorts on a hot day! I was looking for a good park the last week so my three year old could get some energy out. I found this spectacular park tucked away in the hills of Laguna Beach. I was so impressed by this park. Plenty of street parking. Once you walk up it's gated all around, so don't have to stress about your kid running out to the into street. It's got three slides you climb up the stairs to, a small basketball court area, a spaceship, a little bike route for the kids. The big kids play area and smaller kids play area are separate nicely too. So you don't have to worry about the little ones getting pushed around by bigger kids. The bathrooms are well maintained as well. Above is the boys and girls club so all the local elementary kids come to play after school. It gets pretty busy around 3pm. So if you're looking to come when it's quiet, anytime before 3pm it's empty. So glad we found this place! My daughter loves it! read more

My girls could stay at this park for hours. There is so much stuff to do. Lots of greener and trees for collecting sticks and leaves. Lots of play equipment for climbing and playing pretend. Slides built into the hills. Tunnels and pathways over bridges for kids to play on. This park isn't really easy to get to and isn't really on the way to anything unless you live in the immediate area, but it is worth the trip. There are bathrooms but not a lot of places for seating besides a big grassy area. There is also no parking lot. We went on a Sunday during the middle of the day and it was plenty of street parking despite how crowded the park was. read more

This is one of our favorite parks in Orange County. The playground equipment is fantastic, I mean who really doesn't want to blast off into space on a rocket or ride a mosaic turtle? Quick jump to the beach, as well, if you want to soak up some sun. Its a great park for all ages. The climbing structures are pretty unique. Parking is rough sometimes, but there is some parking behind the park just to the south. And there are really nice bathrooms, as well. read more

This park is great in so many ways: 1. Containment - is every parents best friend. This park has a door that shuts, and a high latch. Which means my 3 year old isn't going to run into the street while I wrangle my 1 year old. 2. Rocket Ship - the have a multi-story rocket ship that is perfect for the imagination. 3. Unique - the play areas are separated by age appropriate activities. The play items are unique in design, we have not seen a lot of the at other parks. 4. Slides - two awesome slides going down a wall embankment (one of which is a tandem racing slide). 5. Room - There seemed to by plenty of room on a busy weekend afternoon. Although this park is used year round, it is known to most locals as the place to be on Sunday afternoons in July & August. That's when we have some of the worst bands, for dancing/rocking, of any city around, with a few notable exceptions including awesome tribute bands like "The Neil Deal" and a surprise drop-in once from Foo Fighters' drummer' Taylor Hawkins, at our annual "Concerts in the Park" series. I guess the city is trying to be multi-cultural, but c'mon, most people just don't rock out to Irish or Argentinian music. I'm not saying that I blame the city--the concerts are free, the place gets more packed every summer and if that continues, I don't know if the park can handle it. Nor do I know where everyone will park. Perhaps we'll all be taking Uber. Perhaps we all SHOULD be taking Uber. Nor am I saying that the bands aren't talented at playing the music they play--just that the music they play isn't necessarily geared to what your average Joe considers "dance-able". So, city, if you pay attention to reviews, how about more rock tribute bands or pop or rockabilly? Swing? So, we deal with the music at times, and relish the atmosphere. Casual, friendly, sometimes drunk & crazy, but always a strong family/neighbors/friends vibe.There is no stopping a good time in LB. It usually takes a couple of songs (translate: drinks) for folks to get up and dance, even to the good bands. But by the end of the event, the dance "floor" is insane.. I can't count the number of times I've been stomped on. All in good fun. read more

Hands down, the best park/playground in Orange County, and I've been to a lot. I won't even bother to describe it, you have to see it for yourself. Aside from the unique play structures, there is a lot of space to ride bikes/scooters, and it's completely fenced in, so you can let your kiddies have free reign to run around. It's hard to get to with the Laguna Beach traffic and parking can be annoying, but if you have preschool/kindergarten aged kids, it's totally worth it. Bring a picnic lunch, you can spend the entire day there! read more

This park is the ideal park for a parent! The entire park is enclosed, there is a big kids playground and a little kids playground, and large grass area as well as plenty of sidewalk/concrete area for riding bikes/trikes/etc... I really liked that from the little kids area you were above the big kids playground and grass and could see pretty much everything. Play equipment on both playgrounds were very smart and age appropriate. Also walking distance from one of our favorite spots to eat! Active culture! My son and our friends loved it! read more

This has got to be one of the very best parks in all of Orange County. The playground equipment is top notch and includes: a rad giant rocket ship on one side, a modern balance/spin area for big kids in the middle, a sandy bottom toddler play area, and some long old fashion slides that are built into the hillsides. The only reason I subtracted 1 star is because what else, I mean think about it, it's in Laguna beach! 1 star is missing because of the parking, it's terrible. This park is huge and has a dedicated lot on Temple that fits maybe 10-15 cars? Ridiculous and then only like 3-5 additional spaces on Cress. You're dreamin' if you think you can find spot on any of those crazy hilly back-roads too. If you wanna hang out at Blue Bird, get here early or come on a week day, but please do come, this is a really neat park! read more

We really love this park. Just read the reviews. It's hard to argue any of us out of it! Honestly, it's also difficult to argue that it's one of Orange County's best public parks. The only other park that may come close in style and open space is the super new Beacon Park near Portola in Irvine. We drive from central Irvine to play here. About 7 years ago, I used to take my daughter quite often on a semi-regular basis. Now it's her little brother's turn to fall in love. One of the best parts of this park is that it's semi-closed off, either by official fences or steep, bushy, woodsy areas that are difficult for any toddler or even older kid to run off and out of. There is a staircase, though, towards the very very bottom of the park that leads up to one of the neighborhood streets, though, so parents really shouldn't put down their permanent mom/dad-vision goggles. But none of us do that, right? Right. ;) We arrived at around 10 am on a Saturday and there were a handful of kids. By 11:15, it had doubled. Not to worry, really, because there's just so much space. It's rustic enough for the 'wild' kind of kids and structured enough for kids who are used to a traditional playground. Also, I like how it seems to be geared towards all ranges of ages - from toddler to preteen. read more

We visited this park today for the first time for Concerts in the Park and it was a great time! The venue was great and the reggae band was very good and made for a relaxing evening! We enjoyed being able to bring alcohol in with us and sit and enjoy the show! The place was packed with everyone enjoying time together and kids playing everywhere! Very family oriented! Great park lots of climbing toys and slides. Laguna Beach creates a great space for kids to play. Two stars off for the entitled kids being raised by nannies with no respect for others or their surroundings that use the park. Nice place for toddlers to play. Liked that the ground cover under the play structure was made of bits of rubber rather than wood chips.
