Elevate your next spa or medspa treatment! I was warmly greeted by not one, but two of the kindest and sweetest receptionists as soon as I walked through the door. They checked me in via iPad on their desk kiosk, brought me water, and had me wait until I was introduced to the MOST AMAZING massage therapist, Lydia!!!! She has magic hands for sure!!! I had a really stressful week at work and I explained to her how much pain and ache I was feeling and after I left the spa. It was night and day! She explained to me different at-home Methods to try and alleviate my aches and pains, such as using a heating pad for 20 min before bed to help with tension. The spa is located on the 2nd level right as you enter the parking lot of the stomping grounds. I'm not sure if they have lockers and a changing room But they have a beautiful outdoor table to relax and sip drinks or water with gal pals or your SO. I also had a chance to meet the owner - Brittany (spelling might be wrong) but the entire experience from start to finish was equal to a five star luxury hotel spa but way more down to earth with extremely caring staff. They are amazing!!! Totally worth the splurge and I will definitely be spreading the word about how amazing their customer service and quality staff/therapists go above and beyond - that extra mile makes all the difference!!! Tulum truly lives up to their name!!!

I booked three services: a massage, a lymphatic drainage add-on that was showing as 50% off, and…read morethe salt room experience, which is complimentary during the week. The day before my appointment, I received a call saying their system had made a mistake and should not have allowed me to book the lymphatic drainage special at 50% off. It was only about a $20-$25 difference, so honestly, as a new customer, I would have expected them to honor the price their own system allowed me to book. There was really no flexibility or effort to make it right. I still came in for the massage, and the massage itself was fine. However, since the lymphatic add-on was removed, I would have had to wait about 30 minutes to use the salt room. I decided not to sit around and wait, so I just left after my massage. Overall, my issue was less with the massage and more with the customer service. Would I return? No. Would I recommend it? Probably not. Most spas at this price point are beautiful, but what really makes a spa experience special is the customer service, the guest experience, and the business thinking behind it. In this case, it felt like they chose saving $20 over creating a positive first impression with a new customer.

Blossom Massage has all those, and has been around for a decade-plus with a great reputation. Dunno WHAT took me so long to check them out, but I recently bought a couples massage (which included all-day pool access) as a Christmas gift for my beau. We planned on getting there an hour before our massage to enjoy the hot tub (they requested that we call ahead to let them know and get the heat going). Our massage started promptly on time, and we both opted for deep tissue. I had Deanne, who specializes in Swedish and deep tissue massage (according to her bio on the website)... and let me say she has some STRONG hands. She found all my tension and pain-points and loosened me up. I was honestly a bit sore for days, but in a good way. A great reminder I need to take care of my body post workouts and after long days at the desk... My biggest feedback for them would be to have more info on their website about the pool access and what's offered (towels, robes) and how long we have pool access (it's all day, btw). Before booking, I had to call to get that info; it's be more convenient to add all of that info to their FAQ page. They also allow you to bring snackies, so I brought a fruit, cheese, and tinned fish spread. Also, wondering if they had hot tea service. That's always a nice touch post-massage. Looking forward to booking again!

For a mid range massage, Patcha is great. All the technicians do incredible work with their hands. They listen attentively prior to starting services and are happy making adjustments in real time. Upon entering they offered us cold tea and explained what massage we would like to do and if we were ok with stepping during massage. Which was very appreciated! We had Anita and Mike and they were really good and very nice. They accommodated my partner since it was his first massage, however for me I was very familiar with deep tissue (lol!). I also added cupping as well. After our massage they gave us warm tea and paid via Zelle. They have a I believe a 3.25% charge with card. Will come back again! Their prices were very good. I haven't had much shoulder back pain since the massage and cupping and would like to try to come here maybe 1x/month.

With any booking you are granted access to the premises from 8am to 7pm. It's better to go early during the week because they say it gets busy on the weekends. I honestly went on Monday and I'm thankful that I did. Things that are complimentary are: access to lockers, showers, steam room, jacuzzi, cooling pool, and out jacuzzis. Plus there are lounging spots upstairs where the massages take place. They also give complimentary tea, coffee, fruit, cookies, and trail mix. Plus refreshing infused water. I pre booked a 50 min trellis massage. Kendal gave the best massage I ever had, I swear! Although I will say there is definitely discrepancy with time as they add in them walking you to the room, pre conversation, undressing, all of that into it. So ultimately it can vary from 35-40 mins which is a bit meh for the cost of $200 + 23% mandatory gratuity (not including tip). I most definitely would come back for another massage with Kendal. Yet if you're coming solo bring headphones because sometimes there will be couples or groups talking in the inside cooling pool area and it can sound quite loud since it's closed in.

The email came with instructions where to park. And u actually pass your trellis on the way to park your car. The parking spaces will be clearly marked trellis. The locker that they provided was very spacious. There was about 3 attendants in the locker room as well. Every locker came with a robe already inside. And u will be assigned a locker when you check in at the front desk. They also lend u sandals to wear if u want to borrow them. The massage area has 22 rooms and 3 waiting areas upstairs. And they to have areas where people are sleeping in their robes. I didn't think it would be so busy on a random weekday but I was wrong. There was a constant flow of people. I love all of the amenities. They provided coffee, tea, short bread cookies, fruits and nuts and of course water. My masseuse was great. I got the pressure exactly how I like it. I love the choice of oils I can use for my massage. I love the smell and esp bc it's the veranda natura bisse and it's all natural. When I was done with my massage, I went to the pool outside to enjoy myself. One pool was hotter than the other. I sat under the trellis and eventually ordered lunch. I didn't think lunch was going to be good but it was amazing. I've had lunch here years ago when I stayed on the Houstonian hotel and I ordered room service. I ordered salmon both times and it's still good years later. Everyone here was great. The massages do include the tip and I believe it's like 20-25%. Also the food that I ordered at the pool came with a service charge as well. Now the people at the pool were wonderful. They made sure we have water always. U can also refill the water yourself but they do come around with a tray with cups of cold water. So the pools outside are heated and the pool inside is cold. There is also a jacuzzi which is small. I had a wonderful experience here. Can't wait to go back when I need some R&R. And if u go on the weekends the massage prices are going to cost more.

Who gives massages on Sunday? The Petite Retreat, I was relieved to learn. I booked a 90-minute session for that afternoon. The sage-green Victorian where the business is located was simple to find. It's in a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood on the north side of Washington Avenue. Parking can be competitive there, but The Petite Retreat accommodates clients with private parking, both in its broad driveway and its side parking lot - a nice benefit when you're striving to be on time. The building has been added on to in interesting ways, so the reception area is a divided space. Original art, plus a baby grand with a chandelier over it, add to the atmosphere of relaxed luxe. I was assigned Cheryl as my masseuse. She guided me to a spacious treatment room in back, with massage table at center and a side table bearing an array of carrier oils, essential oils and other potions. Cheryl did an excellent job of giving a thorough massage, while paying special attention to the area where I was experiencing pain. I appreciated her responsive in using pressure that was firm but avoided adding to the pain. Cheryl sent me out the door with a large bottle of special water. I must admit I had trouble understanding the details of its special health-giving properties, but I trust Cheryl to do right by me.
