**BEAUTIFUL MANSION FOR EVENTS, COCKTAILS, AND STAYS** We pre-gamed at the Heights House for my birthday weekend and what a treat it was! PARKING ======== Designated lot at the Heights House (in historic Boylan Heights, my favorite Raleigh neighborhood). EVENING EXPERIENCE =================== We had wonderful handcraft cocktails, delicious charcuterie board (with amazing cheeses and meats), and champagne in the well-designed drawing room. The staff welcomed and greeted us warmly. Co-owner, Sarah, is sooooo nice! She gave us a brief group tour of the property. The Italian-style mansion also hosts events and have hotel rooms for booking. OVERALL ======== Our friends had such a great time, and we can't wait to return! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Went here for drinks with a friend at had a blast! Such a stunning place, every detail was gorgeous!! 5/5 for overall vibes and atmosphere! We were there around 4pm on a Thursday, so not too busy but still fun. The drinks were delicious! I ordered the Rosie and it tasted as good as it looked! 4.5/5 stars!! My friend ordered the aperol spritz and said it was also delicious (and beautiful) and gave it a 5/5! We got the Whipped Ricotta with Honey & Pistachio and it was AMAZING!!! So delicious and light, but so flavorful. 5/5!!! The only thing was everything was pretty pricey, but you truly get what you pay for!! No complaints whatsoever! Great, nice staff, very accommodating! Will for sure be coming back! Overall 5/5 experience!

This stunningly beautiful home turned bed and breakfast with a Speakeasy influence bar is a must see if you are in Raleigh. You are free to explore the grounds, the bar and downstairs but only guests staying on the property and venture upstairs. We came in for cocktails and were not disappointed. Everything tasted amazing and was worth the 4 hour train ride from Charlotte.

We have attended several events here and have gone to their Sunday Sauce dinners. Always amazing food, wine, and service.

Sumptuous linens and robes welcome guests in historic rooms!

Enjoy a relaxing overnight stay at the Heights House Hotel and event venue, a delicious handcrafted cocktail at the Parlor Bar, sumptuous afternoon tea, Concerts on the Lawn or your own special event! There is nothing like it and you'll be glad you did. The home is stunning and the service top-notch!

This place is amazing. Think the Great Gatsby had a baby with the NC Museum of Art. We didn't stay in the hotel, but went for drinks and a phenomenal Charcuterie board. It's elegant and quaint, but without the pretentiousness. The staff is lovely and welcoming. The details of the building are worth the exploration and the cocktails are on point. I hate sharing this review because I want it to be my hidden secret, but I kind of have to tell how cool this place is...

AMAZING! After seeing all the beautiful photos on Instagram I knew I wanted to stay here. My husband and I visited last weekend for a staycation and it blew all of our expectations out of the water. The space is beautiful, turning a late 1800s mansion into a stunning hotel no doubt took an insane amount of work, but they thought of every detail. The interior is the perfect mix of art deco and modern. Upon check in you are offered glasses of champagne delivered to your room and given an actual key, no room cards here. We stayed in a standard room and it was beautiful-- the bed and pillows were insanely comfortable, we loved the frame TV, and the high end products in the shower were a nice bonus. Other amenities include a Counter Culture pour over coffee and tea setup in your room, a fancy coffee machine in the dining area, and all sorts of sparkling water to chose from. Breakfast which is included in your stay includes delicious boulted bread croissants, yogurt and berries, as well as hard boiled eggs. They also have a wine and cheese hour daily from 5-6pm and place Escazu chocolates on your door in the evenings. They seriously think of everything here and I love the emphasis on so many local products. If I were getting married I would 100% have my wedding here, the windows are gorgeous, all the crown molding, and every little decor detail they thought of make for a perfect backdrop. Don't even get me started on the lighting fixtures-- beautiful! If you are looking for a staycation or a spot for out of town folks to stay I highly recommend Heights House. It is also walking distance to many great downtown restaurants and bars. Wye Hill is less than a five minute walk!

Wow! This home/hotel is amazing. They literally thought of everything! From handicap lift to access the building, to ADA first floor rooms. We are not handicapped but a lot of the older homes/B&Bs don't think of these things. We were greeted by Mindy, she is so nice, knowledgeable and super friendly. She provided us with champagne on arrival and gave us a tour of the house which included the history and how the current owners restored this home bringing back many original items like the stone fireplace hearth. The available snacks, soft drinks, coffee machine, the bar (couldn't use though due to the holiday); things I never thought of wanting or needing for our stay was available. We stayed in room 2, beautifully decorated, the pillows and bed were so comfortable (I had to take a picture of the pillow tag so I can buy for our home), and the temperature in the room was so refreshing after a hot muggy day. Our daughter and son-in-law will be moving to the area over the next year, so we will Definitely be back!

    VERY comfortable beds!!

Many issues were faced with the parking, tag not working properly, being charged by the garage on top of the $30/day charge from the hotel. Breakfast offers hot food and there is coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby. There are two elevators on opposite sides of the building so you can never be too far away. However, they both operate extremely slow. Upon checking in the room was facing the bar street, unknowingly booked the hotel where all the college students go out. While they do offer ear plugs and sound machines in each room it doesn't help much when it's 1am and so loud you can't sleep. The other options for rooms face the train or the street - no ideal placement. One bad interaction occurred with a staff member, after being charged to exit the garage I approached the front desk which had no one there. Turned to see a woman straddling the couch behind me who yelled across the lobby asking if I was checking in. When I said no and told her there was an issue with the parking she looked at me to continue when I realized she had no plan on getting up to assist us. She did not help sort out the problem but told us to call the parking garage to get a refund... Upon checkout there was a different worker present who graciously and with attitude I may add, removed one day of parking to make up for the garage charging. Next time I visit this town I will be avoiding this hotel to say the least. However, the rooms were clean and spacious.

Did run into a snarky reception when asked for a bottle of water. Told me she would make an exception but vending machines were on every floor. I told her she could bill it to the room but she made some note on my account, asked what room I was in and said it was a courtesy this time. I feel like delivery of the conversation could have been better. Meanwhile another rep offered my coworkers a free bottle the next day after we came in from lunch. I didn't even engage. Aside from that experience, I personally would not select that breakfast included add on offer in the future but did like how you can choose from anything on the menu and were not limited. I would stay here again and looks like a much better option than the Sheraton Nextdoor. Overall service was ok, house keeping was great and left little thank you notes, and the rooms were modern. While there have been outstanding hotels, this one, The Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown Raleigh, NC, tops them! From the first moment we walked in the lobby and were greeted warmly, to check out when they acted like they were so happy we'd stayed there..everyone was friendly, kind, and so helpful! The lobby is decorated so nicely! The chandeliers are cool! Each one throughout the hotel is different. We found them in hallways, the restaurant, the lobby, near the elevators..everywhere! Just a cool, chic place! We had breakfast in the Overlook restaurant in the hotel each morning of our stay. Each morning was an all you can eat, buffet style, amazing spread! There were scrambled eggs each morning (we were there for three mornings), but different meats, different types of potatoes, grits, oatmeal, cold cereals, fruits, yogurts, an array of breads, juices, a coffee bar with tea and hot chocolate as well, and soooooo many toppings and spreads to go on anything you want. Our room was very nice, very clean, and the shower is huge! The staff was attentive, both in the restaurant and the hotel as a whole. Our tv went out twice, and both times when we called the front desk, they apologized and sent a tech up to help us. The housekeepers checked in to make sure we had whatever ever we needed; and everywhere we turned there was friendliness. Our hotel was directly across the street from the Martin Marietta theater where we had tickets for a show. So, after a yummy dinner in the Overlook restaurant, we strolled across the street and enjoy an evening with Henry Cho! We walked around downtown, enjoyed a weekend away from home, and felt very safe and secure. We will definitely be back, Residence Inn!
