I adopted a kitten recently found them. It was easy no hassle. I understand all the questions that they ask and what not so it's not like it's a big deal. The Kitten is doing great at my house right now. He is learning to understand his space. I was very happy with the Kitten that I chose. He is exactly what our family needed.

What an incredible place. I spend a fair amount of time here because when the rescue I volunteer with runs out of room, we often board dogs here until we have a foster for them. The facility is beautiful. They have really nice indoor/outdoor kennels and lots of play areas for the animals as well. They even have a big water playground for the summer! The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a vet clinic as well and their doctors are great. Beware of all the adorable kitties when you first walk in! If you aren't strong, you'll probably leave with one!

I am appalled at the only other review: A person called "Cassandra" gave one star and said they " steal dogs". I have just been there myself with a rescue I adopted; the people are super nice and friendly, caring, and totally involved in helping rescued dogs to find foster families and then a good, loving, furever family. I don't understand what prompted this woman to write such a review; of course, everyone is allowed their opinion, but on my part, I have not seen nor heard anything during my visits to Heidi's Village to make me question the Veterinarian that cared for the rescue I adopted, nor any of the other technicians or people working there. Everyone I spoke to on the phone and met when I took the pup I adopted for her pre-adoption checkups were only interested in the health and well-being of her and the other dogs. If this woman had a bad experience or felt that she wasn't helped with whatever she went to Heidi's for, adopting or rescuing, or a veterinarian visit, I understand that things don't always go as we would like them to. I have given some bad or unsatisfactory reviews when situations required them, and yes there have been times when I've felt like slamming a business because I was momentarily frustrated... Accusing what I understand to be a reputable business, that works with rescues that I personally know and have adopted dogs from over many years, without any evidence or proof of what Cassandra is saying - because there isn't any - is just venting her bad day but could cause damage to good people for no reason. What she calls "stealing" IMO is likely what rescues do when they take dogs away from unhealthy and dangerous situations, basically saving these dogs' lives!!! The dog I am talking about in this review was in a puppy mill situation and was going to spend all her life making designer puppies and then die alone. She was "made" because dog fashion is Labradoodles and all that jazz, so she's a beautiful bear coat Chinese Shar-Pei (her face is just like a fluffy teddy bear) and she's mixed with Australian shepherd, with a gorgeous merle coat. While I am extremely happy with my rescued pup, I have moments when I think of her first years living without cuddles or toys or maybe even a warm bed, and this why I don't buy dogs in stores or from breeders; there are so so many great puppers that need loving homes, and the rescues I know give their all to help these dogs find a good, safe life. I hope Cassandra has a chance to revisit Heidi's Village and maybe grasses her opinion, and give them a second chance, Here is my beautiful 'teddy bear'

I had a really disappointing and upsetting experience bringing my dog Bodhi here. He is a very…read morereactive and fearful dog, and I specifically needed a vet who understands how to handle dogs like him with patience and compassion. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all. From the start, the staff did not seem trained in handling fearful dogs. They insisted on checking his ears even though that was not one of my concerns and not the reason for the visit. Bodhi was already not feeling well--he hadn't been eating since we traveled from San Diego, and I brought him in primarily due to concerns about his anal glands. Despite that, they proceeded with an ear exam, using excessive restraint instead of calming techniques, which completely traumatized him. I've been to other vets who use simple methods like peanut butter or distraction to ease dogs into exams, none of that was even attempted here. Dr. Pan also did not listen to my concerns. One of the main reasons I brought Bodhi in was to have his anal glands checked. Instead, she performed a rectal exam without addressing that concern directly. Afterward, they wanted to check his anal glands separately for an additional $38 charge, which I refused because I didn't understand why this wasn't done during the initial exam. The whole situation felt disorganized and unnecessary. On top of that, Dr. Pan blamed me for being present during the exam and said Bodhi was being "dramatic" when he reacted to having his ears checked. That was incredibly frustrating to hear. My dog was clearly scared and overwhelmed, and instead of adjusting their approach, they dismissed his fear and put the responsibility back on me. By the time they finished restraining him for the ear exam and rectal exam, Bodhi was already extremely stressed. Despite this, they attempted to administer subcutaneous fluids using even more forceful restraint, with zero compassion for his condition. They only managed to give 100 ml and still charged $100 for it, which felt unreasonable given how poorly it was handled. They wanted to restock him without me present to give the additional fluids of 300ml and I refused due to their inexperience and mistreatment already. Overall, this experience felt traumatic for my dog and frustrating for me as an owner. I would strongly recommend that this clinic invest in proper fear-free training and learn how to handle anxious or reactive animals with more care and understanding.
