I've had many dogs in my life that I've loved deeply, and they've all been absolutely incredible. But until Cleopatra, our goldendoodle, I had never found a vet I felt strongly about. Then came the amazing Dr. Leibering, someone who makes you feel like she loves your dog just as much as you do. There hasn't been a single ER call that she or her team didn't answer immediately, or a visit where she didn't show genuine care and compassion for our girl. I called LMVC and even though new clients usually needed to wait for an intake appt because my pug wasn't feeling great they got us in right away. Everyone was super friendly and my dog was happy. Outstanding Competent, Gentle and Genuine "We Care" Vet and Team! This place is SO amazing. My experiences have been with Dr Celena Eden's, Dr Leibering and Vet Tech Samantha as well as other vet techs from 4-5 years ago. A few years ago, my 17-year old Ragdoll kitty was in bad shape and Dr Eden's bent over backwards to help diagnose what was wrong, propose conservative treatments and support his end of life care. I am forever grateful to her! so giving of her time, compassionate and just a beautiful soul. Recently, I've had to bring in Tiger, our male ragdoll kitty for a loose incisor tooth (literally just dangling), and nail/toe clipping education. Dr Leibering was so awesome with her exam on all of his teeth, gums and toes/ nails. Samantha did a brilliant job taking care of Tiger and showing me how to trim his nails. Thank you Lookout vet! Ripoff clinic. Took my 10 month old puppy in for a growth near his lip. Vet was concerned wanted me to get it removed and do a biopsy. Cost $1000. Told my breeder, who asked me for a picture. She said it was a canine papaloma wart. That it was common with puppies and would resolve (fall off in a few weeks). To get a second opinion. Sure enough second opinion, Keep eye on it, but should resolve itself. Again was told this is very common and no credible vet should have misdiagnosed it. Sure enough problem gone. They tried to steal $1000 from me and put my dog though unneeded stress and procedures. Be very careful. Lots of vets. Don't use this one. read more

I've seen all 3 doctors throughout time & most likely all their general staff too. They always handle my animals with so much care. I had a first visit with my dog, Kip, today with Dr. Schure. Dr. Schure began by NOT wanting to talk about my dog's medical history, expressed shock that my dog had an extensive medical history background, and he said he just wanted to focus on my dog's symptoms. I said okay, fine, and told him about symptoms which he wanted to dismiss. He did admit that he was overwhelmed. He was interrupting me and talking over me the whole time. He fabricated reasons to be adversarial as when he said "Well we aren't going to do any ultrasounds or endoscopies here! You need to go see an internal medicine doctor."....my response was "Okay fine, I didn't ask you to, and we tried to see internal medicine they didn't want to do the testing." It was as if Dr. Schure was looking for a reason to fight. He told me my dog was fine, was just an old dog, my concerns were not something he was concerned with, and then he told me that I should go see an internal medicine doctor....what do I see an internal medicine doctor for if my dog is fine...he was obviously just wanting to blow us off and ignore my concerns. I couldn't even ask a question without this man interrupting me. My dog is older and medically complex. It's not as if my dog's medical history paints a picture of my dog being fine, and quite the opposite is true. I got the impression that this doctor just did not want to take our case, did not want to help my dog, and he thought he'd pick a fight rather than admitting that. Edit to add: Dr. Schure lacked all compassion/consideration for my dog. My dog is a high anxiety dog normally, he was abused by a man in the past, he doesn't like men, and my dog was in the vet's office where he is terrified. Dr. Schure displayed dominating behavior towards my dog the entire time during the physical exam by pressing the palm of his hand on my dog's head despite my dog shaking in fear, my dog trying to get away from Dr. Schure, and me telling Dr. Schure to stop putting his hand on my dog's head like that. My dog is has never bit anyone (and he's almost 13 years old) or been aggressive with humans. There was absolutely no reason for Dr. Schure to go out of his way to make my dog more uncomfortable than he already was. Dr. Schure just doesn't listen and has no compassion or basic level of consideration for my dog. I have had veterinarians try to lie to cover up mistakes, lie to find reasons to get more money out of me via lots of unnecessary testing, etc, but I have never, in my life, had a more hostile veterinarian. I honestly don't know how these people are not more ashamed of themselves. read more

What can you improve? Get rid of Dr. Schure!!! Upset and hurt my dog and me! I've never ever seen so unprofessional, incompetent and rude doctor. I had to leave our appointment because of him talking to me like I'm 5years old and don't know my dog, seating lecturing me with an attitude that my dog needs a muzzle. We never had a muzzle on my dog for any appointment in 3 years. He should never be a vet. Never going to see him again. Absolutely awful person. Stay away from him! Now that I see he responded( business owner), all he tried to say it's defend himself, cover up his actions with lies. My dog never has been sedated until last time ( when I was advised for specific procedure, which we did and didn't denied) Next appointment as a regular yearly check up, no one ever told us that he needs to be sedated or have a muzzle! ( which he never had!) I never received a phone call from Office manager to discuss as he stating that I declined to talk to a manager. All of this is blunt lies . Plus I had a chance to contact one of the patients that had recently had exact same experience with the same veterinarian. Her review is on Yelp too. She had same terrible and terrifying experience with this person. He can defend and try to lie here as much as he wants. All I'm saying, he's terrible and I would never ever trust my dog to him! This is by far the best vet office I have been to. Dr. Eden's took such great care of my baby Oliver up until his passing. I couldn't thank Dr. Eden's and the whole clinic enough for helping my Oliver as much as they could! Everyone there was friendly and supportive during this rough time for me. They treated my kitty with such love and kindness and I am very grateful for that. Everyone is very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with getting care for him by another doctor in office if Dr. Eden's wasn't available. I 100% would recommend this vet clinic. read more

We made the change to Lookout this past year due to the distance we were traveling to get to our previous vet. The reality is that vet care is expensive and since their fees were the same as my previous clinic I cannot complain. Until recently we have had curbside service, mostly with Dr. Shure but when my fur baby suddenly became sick they were extremely accommodating. My fur baby was seen the same morning and I was given updates during the day. Dr, Leiberling was extremely understanding and patiently explained all they were trying to do (describing what each med was for, etc.). I appreciated her honesty in helping me make the hard decision to let my 14-year-old best friend go. Watching the way staff popped by to say goodbye to Chuck was more evidence of the care all the clinic staff displayed. They exceeded my expectations. read more

Lookout Mountain has set a standard I didn't even know existed! My dogs are my children. I have human children, and k-9 children. And they are equals. When it comes to making sure my children are happy and healthy, there is no stone that goes unturned. Last week our 7 year old girl started acting differently. She wouldn't jump up on the couch, she wouldn't sit for a treat... she just laid there. When we would call her over, it was a chore for her to stand up on her back legs. We took her to a vet hospital on Saturday due to the Labor Day weekend and our regular vet was closed. They said she had a soft tissue injury and gave her a pill for pain and said she would be better by Monday. When Tuesday morning came along she hadn't seen any improvement. I called around and ended up reaching this very special clinic and they were able to get me in Tuesday evening. Side note: I live in Mesa so this was a drive They told me over the phone they had COVID restrictions in place and to park and call when I arrived. They had plenty of parking right in front of their office. Their windows were painted with call information so I called to let them know I had arrived. Within 1 minute someone was out to greet me with a giant smile on her face. It was very welcoming. At the end of a long day, i find it hard to smile sometimes. But not her. I could tell she loved her Job. She brought some paperwork for me to fill out and did great job of recapping what I had shared on the phone about my baby and explaining what I could expect. She said she would be back to get our girl. She wanted to put down some things so they could carry her back because of her back pain. Wow! Not a minute later she came back out with another smiling member of her team. They lovingly lifted her up and cradled this 35 pound dog in her arms and whispered gently in her ears it would be ok. I teared up. Normally, I would jump on my phone and surf the internet. But not today. I sat there for 20 minutes and watched the exact same level of love and care as they quickly greeted other patients that were showing up and returning k9 babies to their human parents. At first I was shocked at the level of care and detail they provided. Then I realized how busy they were because someone was always outside handing off a patient. When my phone rang it was Dr Edens. She compassionately told me my girl was in good spirits and wagging her tail and getting lots of love. Then she told me what the diagnosis was and that she was going to adjust meds and make some recommendations for a recovery of a week or so. She answered every question I had so patiently and I knew my pup was in very good hands. When they came out with her meds, the smiling nurse recapped what Dr Edens had shared and made sure I didn't have any other questions. Then the same smiling girl who took my dog back brought her back in the same loving cradled arms and gently got her settled in the back seat. When I got home and opened the pills, I smiled. Many of the pills required quarter or half of a pill. At my past vet, I got whole pills and I would have to break them up. Not here. They even took the time to cut the pills up into the recommended dosage every 8 hours. It's the details that matter. And this veterinary family has exceeded my wildest expectations of the details. Love this place! I have been with a couple different clinics over the years with my cats and dog, but hands down, I've found the best! Last year when my two senior cats were devastated by an unknown illness, Dr Edens was able to diagnose, treat, and save both of them over the course of weeks of intervention that included life saving surgery but followed with weeks of medical management and frequent visits for which they always made time for and greeted me with kindness. Not happy that after 2 years this clinic is still committed to "curb-side" service, and after calling around it's clear this clinic charges the highest prices for care, and they are overbooked so you can't get your pet in quickly if needed. Using covid as an excuse to separate pets from owners, which stresses out my dog. Staff and Lieberman use a lot of medical jargon to give patient owners the run-around and not actually answer the questions. Lieberman doesn't like being questioned, and is condescending. I believe this place and many other vet clinics these days use the same methods of getting people involved and worried about their fur babies in order to cash in on unnecessary appointments and blood work. "Your dog urinated a lot... and it shot straight out of her... I mean a LOT of it..." (Of course I wasn't where my dog was and she was stressed out about being handled by strangers, she is a bit overweight, has inverted girl parts, and just started phenobarbitol resulting in increased thirst and no potty break before the visit). Under all those circumstances, I can see why my dog peed during an exam. But vet seemed mystified about it. COME ON. Wish me luck finding a vet clinic before this last dose of phenobarbital runs out, because Lieberman didn't seem to authorize another refill following my upset at an unnecessary exam and unwillingness to just accept the BS they dish out. They have done so much for my old man cat, even squeezing him in when they are booked up for the day. He's like my kid, and they totally understand how pet parents feel. My boy has been through cancer twice, has asthma, heart murmur, IBS, and probably everything else under the sun, including menopause. Considering all, he's a fairly healthy and happy kitty. I really like this veterinarian, no matter what problem my cats or my dog get they're always really caring and they're always taken care of. Would be a 5 stars other then the fact that they're kind of careless when it comes to the outdoor parking. I have a new car and one of their employees hit my car with a door. Recently we had to make the difficult decision to put our 13+ year old basset hound to sleep. Dr. Cook helped him earlier when he started to get sick and gave us some good guidance. We were even able to have a wonderful vet tech watch our dog when we had to go out of town and could not board him. In the end, Dr Schure helped us make the final decision and supported us. He did not pressure us but helped us look at the bigger picture, and he helped us feel like we were making the right decision, albeit a difficult decision. They and their whole team were amazing. We were so happy when we got to bring our new fur-baby (rescued boxer) in for a check up to meet them. They helped get her back on track from a minor illness. I highly recommend the entire team at Lookout Mountain. For a long while, I had a chow/Shepard that did not like many people. The entire staff knew I was nervous that my dog may bite, but they were always calm and loving and my dog was always good with them. I called to get an appointment for my dog Ted and they could get me in 2 hours later. Fabulous! Ted was having an ongoing issue for 8 months with his anal glands that his previous vet kept giving him oral antibiotics for, which never treated the issue. Dr Cook asked me if they'd inserted an antibiotic directly into his anal glands. I'm like whaaaaaaaa? that was NEVER mentioned at the other vet in 8 months and $700 dollars later. Dr Cook gave Ted a once over, he also gave us drops for Ted's itchy eyes due to allergies. Prices were amazingly reasonable. There's also a groomer on-site, it's very clean, the staff is wonderful! I just loved everyone there. I was very, very, very happy with Lookout Mountain Vet and we'll be going back. read more

So we have Violet. She was truly a puppy stray that we picked up in Claypool, Az. With Mange. Nice, huh? Dr. Shure is so good with her..she loves him and let him pull...are you listening? The best vet in Phoenix. We moved and now live 15 miles away. Tried the vet clinic 5 minutes from the house, and was flabbergasted and disgusted by the filth. They did not seem interested in getting any of his records either. The vet was mean and didn't seem to care. This other vet also did not have a full pharmacy. We had to get some scripts from Walgreens & Petsmart. You live and learn. Will never take my precious pet anywhere but to Lookout Mountain Vet Clinic. My dog has extensive health problems (arthritis, genetic defects of the legs, and allergies). They perform surgeries as well. Cosmo had to have hip surgery, and it is amazing how well he is doing, seeing as he is 9 years old. The clinic called a couple days after the surgery, to check on him and make sure he was doing okay. Even if I lived 50 miles away, I would still bring Cosmo to Lookout Mountain. BTW, it is not run down. They have just remodeled. Very clean. read more
