We were…read moreskeptical based on the simple website and lack of reviews but Mannie Roberts was a pleasant, straight forward person to talk with over the phone. He promised a great roast beef meal so we took a gamble and hired him to cater our wedding with 150 guests. He doesn't worry about fancy plates and frills but he was up front about this, cooked a delicious meal and delivered exactly as promised. He travelled over an hour to the venue, was completely self sufficient, and his entire team was very pleasant. It clearly wasn't their first event and they kept the dinner buffet running smoothly. They went the extra mile to accommodate our guests with dietary restrictions, distribute desert to guests at their seats, and package up leftovers for a late night snack. We've had nothing but positive reviews from guests regarding their dinner. We had a great experience, and I trust that you would too. I kept some of the bread for dipping into the sauce from the prawns. For entrees my husband ordered the tenderloin with huckleberry and morel mushrooms on a red wine au jus. It was very good but slightly over salted. It's a good thing that we don't automatically salt our food before tasting. I had the special of the evening - a pork steak topped with pancetta and brie and it was outstanding. The assortment of vegetables served with our meals was also very good. It was delicious but I wish there was more Jamaican heat or seasoning to it. The coconut rice was good; I'm usually not a fan of coconut but their rice gives the aroma of coconut without being too powering in flavor. The fried chicken was amazing and I like the herbs they used, which makes it stand out from the Southern style fried chicken. The sauce that came with the fried chicken was unique, and has a sweet taste to it. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is staying in the area or visiting.
