You can't quite taste the cod because it's all blended inside the fritter mix but I like flavor and it's filling for an appetizer. The braised oxtail fell right off the bone. It was delicious but I wish there was more Jamaican heat or seasoning to it. The coconut rice was good; I'm usually not a fan of coconut but their rice gives the aroma of coconut without being too powering in flavor. The fried chicken was amazing and I like the herbs they used, which makes it stand out from the Southern style fried chicken. The sauce that came with the fried chicken was unique, and has a sweet taste to it. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is staying in the area or visiting.

I had there a magnificent salmon dish which when i was just a kid, I of course, at the time found to be far too covered in spices. The dish was peppercorn crusted salmon. little did I know that this particular dish was going to launch a life long friendship with culinary adventures and expectations. From what I remember from a much more recent adventure there, the staff are very professional, even classy, the dress code of course reflects the height of fine dining, which in town like Cranbrook, is a rarity. The price of course matches the height of service and culinary art, but it is all worth it for the experience. I would totally return if the place was still open but it has recently underwent a total makeover and is now called The Heid-Out Restaurant and Brew House Which I have yet to try.
