We made small talk around the weather, then we asked if she knew about any restaurants that had gluten-free food. She was very knowledgeable about some great choices for us to eat. Then she gave us some delicious chocolate to try! Next she directed us where to park, and then she met us at the room. She showed us the features, then returned to the office and brought back to us some fresh coffee beans, a grinder, a small pitcher of milk and some filters for the coffee maker. The room had a small four-burner range, oven, sink, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, bowls, utensils, cups, glasses, frying pan, mixing bowl, wash board, drying rack, dish towel, soap, and a sponge. We also had two queen-size beds, very large TV, dining table with three chairs, comfortable reading chair, heated bathroom floor, soaking tub, plenty of towels, coat rack, luggage rack, coat hangers on a three-foot closet bar. The beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of pillows. At the back of the lodge is a bird sanctuary with trails and interpretive signage. We took a peaceful walk there after dinner. This was a pleasant place to stay. Should we return to Cranbrook, we will certainly stay here.

We stayed here 4 nights for a June wedding…read more The value was incredible. It was approx $120 a night which is pretty average but you get a full condo suite. Kitchen, dishwasher, fridge- it was very easy to buy groceries from the store and make meals at home. We had a rental car, and it is only a short drive in. Has a small balcony. Our balcony was at the back of the building, looking at the front of another complex, but you could see the mountains from the side. My parents had a larger balcony facing the front which overlooked the parking lot, but had a very nice view of the mountains. My parents balcony was also larger with 4 chairs (I think because their suite was also attached to another one). The bathroom is phenomenal with a large soaker tub in the middle, and a very large separate rain shower. Pressure and heat was excellent. Very comfortable king sized bed with perfect black out curtains. Pillows were not the best, typical hotel style. The air conditioner was not running all the time, but when it did it was moderately noisy. We also found it was quite noisy after we used the soaker tub and shower. Pipes? The living room had a nice fireplace. Couch was average in comfort for it also being a pull out. TV in both living area and bedroom. I was definitely wowed by how beautiful and well maintained the suite was. The resort also has a small pool and hot tub. The pool is heated which is nice, and we went down a couple times. It was never busy we were always the only ones there. The hot tub was unfortunately closed the entire time we were there. It had been closed already for almost a couple weeks as they were waiting for a part to arrive. We were hoping it would open before we left but it didn't. The fitness centre was also closed and we were unable to use that as well. I have to say I was really excited for the hot tub so it was a bit of a let down. Then, on the night of the wedding BC Hydro shut down electricity for the town of Kimberely from 1am-6am. It ended up going slightly longer than that and we were unable to shower before we left for our long flight home. I get that this is beyond their control, but it really was bad timing. Overall, I was just really bummed that a lot of their resort features were unusable. There is a Montana's attached to Trickle Creek Lodge which is right beside Mountain Spirit. We had our first dinner there since it was so close by. There is also the Stemwinder Bar and Grill but it is only open for private events in the summer. For a very fantastic meal definitely check out The Old Bauernhaus which is only a 3 minute drive. Absolutely fantastic food and drinks. Overall I would recommend Mountain Spirit if you are in the area and I would return.

Checkout is at 11:00am and we were schedule to get picked up by the dude ranch shuttle van a 2:00pm so we planned to enjoy the resort for a few hours. When making the reservation and when checking in, we were assured that they would they would store our luggage behind the front desk. Upon checking out we were told they could not do that due to liability reasons so here we are stuck for 3 hours babysitting. They suggested we leave our luggage unattended in the corner of the lobby - who in the right mind would consider that?! Will certainly tell the dude ranch not to recommend the resort for other guests. Not the service you would expect from a resort of this caliber.

Everyone was incredibly friendly and very welcoming. We golfed one day with two young local guys. We arrived very early about 1:30 in the afternoon but they were able to give us a room right away. The room is very nice and a good size. We appreciate that it had not been occupied for the last 48 hours. There is a very good sitting area Because of covid none of the services are available - fitness centre, pool or spa and there is no housekeeping service. The bed is very comfortable and good lighting on both sides of the bed is great. The bathroom also has good lighting. We find the soundproofing is not very good as we could hear a large group socializing near our room until 11:00 last night and this morning we could also hear a fair bit of noise early in the morning. We are in unit #103 and I would not recommend this unit if you're a light sleeper. We are very close to the ice machine and every time someone uses the machine it makes a horrendous racket. The hotel is also supposed to be air conditioned but I think they must have turned off the air conditioning at the front desk. We turned on the air conditioner last night and all the lights are on but the unit does not operate. This is the end of June. We are on the ground floor and opening the windows is not a good option. I would stay at Prestige again but I would be sure to ask if the air conditioning has been turned on and I would ask for a unit away from the ice machine.
