Nice clean rooms, had a cozy stay. I like that it was so close to restaurants.

We arrived very early about 1:30 in the afternoon but they were able to give us a room right away. The room is very nice and a good size. We appreciate that it had not been occupied for the last 48 hours. There is a very good sitting area Because of covid none of the services are available - fitness centre, pool or spa and there is no housekeeping service. The bed is very comfortable and good lighting on both sides of the bed is great. The bathroom also has good lighting. We find the soundproofing is not very good as we could hear a large group socializing near our room until 11:00 last night and this morning we could also hear a fair bit of noise early in the morning. We are in unit #103 and I would not recommend this unit if you're a light sleeper. We are very close to the ice machine and every time someone uses the machine it makes a horrendous racket. The hotel is also supposed to be air conditioned but I think they must have turned off the air conditioning at the front desk. We turned on the air conditioner last night and all the lights are on but the unit does not operate. This is the end of June. We are on the ground floor and opening the windows is not a good option. I would stay at Prestige again but I would be sure to ask if the air conditioning has been turned on and I would ask for a unit away from the ice machine.

Good, solid hotel with decent amenities. Room was very clean, and staff were friendly. Location…read morealong the highway near downtown is convenient, too. No breakfast, but 2 Tim Horton's are not far. We enjoyed the workout room. They had a surprising array of equipment, all in good condition, and great music playing to work out by. Only things keeping it from five stars: they need to use hollow wall mounts on the towel holders and toilet paper holder to fasten them more securely to the wall; the door to our room had a strip along the bottom that was flapping off, and the chemical/cleaner smell in the room was almost overpowering when we first walked in (fortunately, that meant it had been cleaned). We opened the window and turned on the fan to air it out, and it was okay. All in all, a decent stay.

Yes, stay here! Talk about above and beyond. Thank you, Rachel!…read more From the moment we stepped into the office, we were warmly welcomed by Rachel. We made small talk around the weather, then we asked if she knew about any restaurants that had gluten-free food. She was very knowledgeable about some great choices for us to eat. Then she gave us some delicious chocolate to try! Next she directed us where to park, and then she met us at the room. She showed us the features, then returned to the office and brought back to us some fresh coffee beans, a grinder, a small pitcher of milk and some filters for the coffee maker. The room had a small four-burner range, oven, sink, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, bowls, utensils, cups, glasses, frying pan, mixing bowl, wash board, drying rack, dish towel, soap, and a sponge. We also had two queen-size beds, very large TV, dining table with three chairs, comfortable reading chair, heated bathroom floor, soaking tub, plenty of towels, coat rack, luggage rack, coat hangers on a three-foot closet bar. The beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of pillows. At the back of the lodge is a bird sanctuary with trails and interpretive signage. We took a peaceful walk there after dinner. This was a pleasant place to stay. Should we return to Cranbrook, we will certainly stay here.

My husband, mother, and I had a family wedding to attend near Cranbrook a couple of weeks ago and…read moreneeded to book a hotel room for one night in Cranbrook. We didn't need anything fancy, and I picked the Days Inn as it was a central location and a good price at $135 + tax. The room was exactly as advertised, and clean. The queen sized beds were comfortable, and I loved the thick, fluffy pillows. However, the room had no air conditioning and it was so hot that we had trouble sleeping. There was what I thought was air conditioning, but it turned out just to be air noisily blowing out of a vent every 15 minutes or so. At 2 am I opened up the balcony door and within minutes the room cooled down to a comfortable temperature. The other negative about Days Inn were the lights from the pool below shining into our room. The hotel pool closes at 9pm, and all night they light up the area with very bright lights. Our room was facing the inner court yard and pool, and despite being on the third floor, the light seeped through the edges of the curtains. Due to the bright lights and lack of air conditioning, I was prepared to give the hotel two stars -- none of us had a restful sleep. However, they offer a free breakfast buffet of eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, toast, cereal, muffins, juice, and coffee. While the breakfast wasn't fantastic, it was more than decent, and FREE -- it was a pretty impressive free breakfast. So at $135 for a room and three breakfasts, Days Inn was excellent value. Also, check out was at 11am, however, we had a few hours until our ride could pick us up and take us to the wedding venue. We asked the front desk staff if they could keep our luggage for us while we went to sightsee, and they agreed. I don't think it's a service they regularly provide guests, so it was much appreciated. Overall a decent hotel and great value, but I would caution against staying in a room facing the pool and courtyard if you are sensitive to light. [Yelp collections: Cranbrook; Hotels]
