Any other time, if you are not a regular, this place might not be for you. I've been here several times with mixed experiences. The last time I was there was a Thursday in the summer of 2024. My husband, brother and I were excited to find seats at the bar and order dinner. The bartender was a short blonde woman and there was a male bar back. The bartender did not acknowledge us for over 15 minutes. We were actively looking at the menu on our phones and talking about what we wanted to try and attempted to make eye contact with her as she walked by us with no luck. She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We left as we felt very unwelcome there and ended up having excellent service down the street at Lukin's.

We found this little gem and holy toledo did we we strike gold. First of all, the hostess was super nice and greeted us right away even though she was clearly busy and hustling. We chose to sit outside at a picnic table to soak up the beautiful weather. The outside is fun with brightly painted picnic tables and murals on the building. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered great suggestions. She was great and we really enjoyed interacting with her. We started with rum punches which were made with freshly squeezed juice and they were out of this world. We shared the "everything" wings which were crispy and that sauce was delicious. We were tempted to lick the sauce off the plate. We refrained so we didn't get strange looks. I had the Kimchi Reuben which is made with house made kimchi I might add. My husband got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. We both opted for Poutine Fries for our sides. Guys, this food was unique and spectacular. I'm just bummed it's 3 hours from home! But I'll definitely make an effort to be back.

I found out that they often have events like live music and bingo. The large room allowed the class to go on away from the main bar and high top table area. Orders are placed at the bar and the one bartender working had things running smoothly. I ordered a Watermelon Wheaton beer and loaded nachos. I immediately got my beer and got a pager for my food. There were a few regular tables along the perimeter among the high top tables but I chose to sit at the bar. The other patrons were very friendly and included me in their conversation. The beer was crisp and cold. The food came out rather quickly. The nachos were topped with beer cheese, fresh pico de gallo, sour cream, and scallions. There was a very generous amount of sour cream so I didn't have to worry about just eating chips. The bartender kept everyone served and knew what the regulars drank. She checked on me regularly. My only disappointment is that as summer comes to an end I will have to wait until next year to attend the events they have at the brewery.

Walked into a gated open patio area with picnic tables and a small bar. There was a couple of couches with pergolas in the back grass area. On the opposite side of the bar was a window to order food. They did provide menus at the window. Grabbed a drink from the bar and sat down at one of the picnic tables. After a little while we ordered food from the window, didn't really like this concept as you had to get up and order it, pay and then go get it yourself when the beeper went off. Luckily it wasn't busy so our table and drinks were untouched by other patrons. Ordered the Dooley and the turkey BLT, got a choice for a side dish opted for fries and tots. Food didn't take long and was good. After you're done they have a trash can and an empty tray station to return too. No one came to clean the table, no one picked up empty glasses so we put ours on the bar when leaving. Staff was friendly. Cool little spot to pop into for a drink. They had big jenga on some of the tables and cornhole in the back.

I did visit the gift shop and I went upstairs to the barn restaurant. I tried a couple beers. They were both OK. Nothing that blew me away. It was a little bit nostalgic since I used to live in northern New York and Saranac beer was probably my gateway into craft beer. I got a 12 pack to go and a sticker. Very cool ambience of a very old building. I walked around the tour area a little bit. Free parking on the side of the brewery. In nicer weather they have an outdoor beer garden. The bartender seemed very busy, she was serving the entire restaurant.

We ordered a burger, chicken sandwich, cheese flatbread pizza, and a big pretzel to share and everything was excellent! My only small critique was the cheese sauce for the pretzel was very liquidy when it first came out but once it cooled a bit (few minutes) it was at a nice viscous consistency that was very dip-friendly! Thanks again for a great meal!

I truly enjoyed my Prime Rib Melt, I feel that it's one of the best sandwiches I ever tasted. The bun was soft but crunchy on the inside as it was toasted! It was delicious! The meat was tender and juicy; easy to bite into. I enjoyed my little dessert and the parm fries were good. I would've liked to see more of that garlic sauce on the fries though, most of the sauce was on the bottom. And no complaints on the burger. My only reason for giving 4 stars was because we went at a slow hour yet it was hard to get anyone's attention. The servers crowded up by a table together and waited for customers to come in. It got busy quick though and that's when we got their attention. I'd definitely go back though.

If you're visiting the Cooperstown area or anywhere in upstate New York, this is an absolute must-see. We've been coming here for years, and every visit reminds us why it's one of our favorite breweries. The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive, making the experience enjoyable from the moment you arrive. We live in Texas and were in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament, which gave us another excuse to stop by. I had enjoyed Ommegang's Belgian-style beers for years, but this visit gave me the opportunity to explore more of their lineup. I was impressed by the variety of styles available, and everything I sampled was exceptionally well crafted. The food was excellent as well. The poutine was a standout and tasted every bit as authentic as the poutine I've enjoyed in Canada. It's not always easy to find great food at a brewery, but Ommegang delivers on both fronts. The setting is truly remarkable. Located on a 140-acre former hop farm just outside Cooperstown, the property feels more like a Belgian monastery than a brewery. The beautiful buildings, open spaces, and wooded surroundings create an experience that is worth the trip all by itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying a pint. Having been open since 1997, it's clear that Brewery Ommegang has had decades to refine both its beer and its operation. Everything feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Hands down, this is one of the coolest breweries I have ever visited. Great beer, excellent food, fun activities, beautiful scenery, and outstanding service make Brewery Ommegang a place that we look forward to returning to every time we're in the area.
