    Fried haddock, coleslaw
    Emily V.

I am so glad we popped in here for dinner! I had the fried haddock which was honestly one of the best I've ever had; super light and crispy breading. The coleslaw was also excellent. They have a few of their own beers as well as a variety of others on tap, and there's something for everyone. Service was really quick. It was busy but I didn't feel it was overly loud. There are tables around fireplaces and it feels cozy, although there's ample space. I'll definitely be back!

12 TVs, Buffalo Bills supporter, great atmosphere, not loud, several fire-pits and an actual fireplace, merch area order at the bar if you open a tab or at the kitchen if just feeding hunger and not thirst. The food came out pretty quickly despite the crown and we noticed ordering at the kitchen was quicker I just went to the bar after we ordered the food. The smoke of the brisket came through perfectly not overpowering and the meat was fork cutting tender. This crispy tender onion rings on top not stringy an stayed together as I ate them. The homemade chips we chose for the side were a large portion of crispy flavorful chips. The cornbread and succotash was flavorful with the corned beef and hard to stop eating. I must admit I didn't try the beer this time but hey that's a great excuse to come back, right? the brisket ends in the smashed were just the right amount as I forked the crunchiness of the fries seasoned slightly topped with a special sauce gravy we figured out ingredients of and truly enjoyed, melted cheese, chives and I kept going for a hard minute. Don't let the full parking lot fool ya there are a lot of spots and plenty of tables and seats inside so if there's a wait it won't be long. Only thing I might do differently is have the serve staff take the table number when they deliver to make the search for tables to deliver to much easier not looking at numbers still standing for those already delivered. Great spot good food friendly staff we like and return is imminent!

    Great drinks!

Any other time, if you are not a regular, this place might not be for you. I've been here several times with mixed experiences. The last time I was there was a Thursday in the summer of 2024. My husband, brother and I were excited to find seats at the bar and order dinner. The bartender was a short blonde woman and there was a male bar back. The bartender did not acknowledge us for over 15 minutes. We were actively looking at the menu on our phones and talking about what we wanted to try and attempted to make eye contact with her as she walked by us with no luck. She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We left as we felt very unwelcome there and ended up having excellent service down the street at Lukin's.

We found this little gem and holy toledo did we we strike gold. First of all, the hostess was super nice and greeted us right away even though she was clearly busy and hustling. We chose to sit outside at a picnic table to soak up the beautiful weather. The outside is fun with brightly painted picnic tables and murals on the building. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered great suggestions. She was great and we really enjoyed interacting with her. We started with rum punches which were made with freshly squeezed juice and they were out of this world. We shared the "everything" wings which were crispy and that sauce was delicious. We were tempted to lick the sauce off the plate. We refrained so we didn't get strange looks. I had the Kimchi Reuben which is made with house made kimchi I might add. My husband got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. We both opted for Poutine Fries for our sides. Guys, this food was unique and spectacular. I'm just bummed it's 3 hours from home! But I'll definitely make an effort to be back.

It's been a while since I'd last been but everything is as amazing as I remembered…read more I've seen them advertise their monthly "flight night" events for some time but never actually had been to one. When I saw an espresso martini and cake pairing, I knew I had to pull the trigger. Met up with some friends and we all ordered food beforehand to offset the impending sugar rush. I'd had their naan pizza in the past and loved it, so this time I went with the one that had caramelized onions and goat cheese. AMAZING. Crispy crust, melty cheese, tangy onions and the perfect amount of everything in every bite. Then onto the main event: the flights! The staff brought over our cake and drinks and were so great about explaining what to pair together. (There was also a card) Desserts were a carrot cake with the most impossibly airy icing, a pistachio cheesecake with chocolate ganache, and a chocolate cake with a light nutella icing. I'm usually a carrot cake girlie and while I enjoyed it, the cheesecake was actually my favorite. Just the perfect pistachio flavor and a wonderful consistency -- so, so smooth. Our waitress told us that the owner is the one that makes all of the desserts too. A multi-talented queen. As far as the martinis, my favorite was the affogato one. These flight-nights are one-off events and the items aren't normally on the menu, so if you see one that looks extra appealing, get yourself there! I've been for normal service too though, and honestly, never have had a misfire here. One thing I especially love is the option to order drinks in 5oz pours, a godsend for lightweights like me. Ambiance, food, drinks, all excellent.

The bartender was also working as our server and was very attentive and also caught an error in one of our parties plates and quickly remedied the situation without question. Inside is a typical bar layout that leads to the crowded outdoor patio overlooking the river. Lots of unclean, uncleared tables. Staff wasn't rude but they sure as heck weren't excited to be there. The "jumbo wings" were not jumbo. And if these are the best rated in upstate then there is a serious wing problem around here. Some of them were overcooked and crunchy and some of them were barely cooked. The garlic parm is. Nothing but an oily greasy mess. And then there was the bill... $10 for FIVE wings and 50 cents for a tiny thing of blue cheese. Unreal. They also added in credit card fee, which is no longer allowed in NYS. Meh, I'll pass on this place again.

If you're visiting the Cooperstown area or anywhere in upstate New York, this is an absolute must-see. We've been coming here for years, and every visit reminds us why it's one of our favorite breweries. The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive, making the experience enjoyable from the moment you arrive. We live in Texas and were in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament, which gave us another excuse to stop by. I had enjoyed Ommegang's Belgian-style beers for years, but this visit gave me the opportunity to explore more of their lineup. I was impressed by the variety of styles available, and everything I sampled was exceptionally well crafted. The food was excellent as well. The poutine was a standout and tasted every bit as authentic as the poutine I've enjoyed in Canada. It's not always easy to find great food at a brewery, but Ommegang delivers on both fronts. The setting is truly remarkable. Located on a 140-acre former hop farm just outside Cooperstown, the property feels more like a Belgian monastery than a brewery. The beautiful buildings, open spaces, and wooded surroundings create an experience that is worth the trip all by itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying a pint. Having been open since 1997, it's clear that Brewery Ommegang has had decades to refine both its beer and its operation. Everything feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Hands down, this is one of the coolest breweries I have ever visited. Great beer, excellent food, fun activities, beautiful scenery, and outstanding service make Brewery Ommegang a place that we look forward to returning to every time we're in the area.
