Outside!

We had a great time trying out this brewery and restaurant out for the first time this past weekend! First off love the building this brewery is in! Nice high ceilings, cool lighting and interesting pictures on the wall. Hubs liked the beers and it was nice that they do beer flights to be able to sample. Food wise we had the brunch burger which was amazing! Beef patty, bratwurst, onion ring cheese sauce -oh my! It was soooo good! French fries were also yummy. Also tried the cheese spatzel which was so good! Absolutely delicious! The pretzel was not as crispy on the outside as most places so that was the only downside. Also had great service! Our waitress was extremely attentive!

I love Bagg's Square Brewing Company! This review is from a mid November dining experience. The food and beer were excellent. They have crafty beers too like you cider or pumpkin beer. I had their Oktoberfest, the German malt beer basically a lager. These always makes me feel full haha. My immediate reaction was "ouuu, mmm, really good!" I also ordered the schnitzel plate and finished that with my drinks. The plate was yummy. Nice job chef! The brewery has a beautiful interior in a classic brick building. The interior is modern and elegant. Let me tell you, this place is huge! There are two dining areas. First, is the bar along with another high table for dining. The second, is a huge dining space where you sit behind the bar and I may be wrong but I think there's an upstairs. There is also an outside patio for outdoor dining. The owner is so charming and lovely. We were chatting it up. Talking about work, travel and interests. She actually made a few gems in here. I had a spectacular time here and wish I ordered a different beer(s) but I was stoked when I tried the coffee gold and it was so yummy. :') Hospitality is great! I will definitely stop here when I'm in the area.

Super fun selection of local brews and charming atmosphere paired with some delicious eats!! Rachele made some great selections. Loved the Altbier. Dark in color but super drinkable and refreshing. The WÜRZIGES HUHN chicken sandwich was fantastic and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommend!!

What a great place. Love the location being from out of town. Downtown was quiet with plenty of parking on a Saturday Saturday afternoon. The ambiance is nice, and the barrel tender was fabulous. She was friendly and attentive and told us about Oktoberfest in September. Many choices and great selection. Personally loved there were two options of dry or sweet for seltzers. The Guten Morgen beer was divine. Definitely a must stop.

Stopped in for lunch on a way back from a road trip out of state (5-minutes from I90). Bartender was so personable and wonderful to chat with. Both the beer and food were delicious. Definitely would come back again. Huge dining area, corn hole play room, and a lovely Biergarten!

Fantastic brewery! We came in for lunch and a flight of beers and were very happy. It's a very cool place in Utica, NY. The decor is retro industrial. It has the feel of a loft style apartment, but as a restaurant. Exposed brick, tall ceilings, wide open. There is also a beer garden with seating as well, although the day we came was damp and a little chilly, while we sat outside to start, we moved inside when the weather gat a little raw. The food was excellent - my wife and I shared the schnitzel sliders and Bavarian pretzel - both were exceptional. I thought the beers were ok. I wouldn't say there anything that was really exceptional, but the flight we tried were all solid. Our server was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. Overall, a great dining experience.

Was in town for our 35th high school reunion and as we had some down time on Saturday we embarked on a local brewery tour. I'm so glad Bagg's Square was on the agenda. Great food, impeccable service, delicious beers and all in a beautiful historical environment. Couldn't ask any more. Thank you all for welcoming us home and treating our large, boisterous group so kindly. You guys rock.

A nice brewery with great service, beers, and overall experience! Definitely a go-to place for a beer or two when you are in Utica NY! A good variety of beers to choose from & side dishes are delicious as well. Service was a little slow at first but got better.

My new favorite place in Utica. The bier is excellent, with a great selection to suit any preference. So much of the food is authentically German. They regularly are bringing in new bier and food. The building is beautiful, with their own Biergarten just outside. The owner is excellent and the staff are great.

While in Utica getting the truck serviced I consulted my trusty Yelp App looking for a brewery,…read morewhat pops up but Nail Creek Pub and Brewery. We sat at the bar which is typical and had the absolute best experience with Emma, the bartender, who was big as a barn pregnant, but looking very cute. Emma was personable, knowledgeable and very engaging. We really enjoy the conversation, food/beer experience. I had the tacos and hubby had the grilled cheese with a cup of the soup of the day, all was very tasty!! Beer was very yummy! Should you happen upon Utica, NY, stop by Nail Creek Pub and Brewery, it's a great place to take a load off and have a local brew, great service and conversation. Say hey to Emma, unless she is giving birth to her baby.

Any other time, if you are not a regular, this place might not be for you. I've been here several times with mixed experiences. The last time I was there was a Thursday in the summer of 2024. My husband, brother and I were excited to find seats at the bar and order dinner. The bartender was a short blonde woman and there was a male bar back. The bartender did not acknowledge us for over 15 minutes. We were actively looking at the menu on our phones and talking about what we wanted to try and attempted to make eye contact with her as she walked by us with no luck. She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We left as we felt very unwelcome there and ended up having excellent service down the street at Lukin's.

I found out that they often have events like live music and bingo. The large room allowed the class to go on away from the main bar and high top table area. Orders are placed at the bar and the one bartender working had things running smoothly. I ordered a Watermelon Wheaton beer and loaded nachos. I immediately got my beer and got a pager for my food. There were a few regular tables along the perimeter among the high top tables but I chose to sit at the bar. The other patrons were very friendly and included me in their conversation. The beer was crisp and cold. The food came out rather quickly. The nachos were topped with beer cheese, fresh pico de gallo, sour cream, and scallions. There was a very generous amount of sour cream so I didn't have to worry about just eating chips. The bartender kept everyone served and knew what the regulars drank. She checked on me regularly. My only disappointment is that as summer comes to an end I will have to wait until next year to attend the events they have at the brewery.

Walked into a gated open patio area with picnic tables and a small bar. There was a couple of couches with pergolas in the back grass area. On the opposite side of the bar was a window to order food. They did provide menus at the window. Grabbed a drink from the bar and sat down at one of the picnic tables. After a little while we ordered food from the window, didn't really like this concept as you had to get up and order it, pay and then go get it yourself when the beeper went off. Luckily it wasn't busy so our table and drinks were untouched by other patrons. Ordered the Dooley and the turkey BLT, got a choice for a side dish opted for fries and tots. Food didn't take long and was good. After you're done they have a trash can and an empty tray station to return too. No one came to clean the table, no one picked up empty glasses so we put ours on the bar when leaving. Staff was friendly. Cool little spot to pop into for a drink. They had big jenga on some of the tables and cornhole in the back.

I tried a couple beers. They were both OK. Nothing that blew me away. It was a little bit nostalgic since I used to live in northern New York and Saranac beer was probably my gateway into craft beer. I got a 12 pack to go and a sticker. Very cool ambience of a very old building. I walked around the tour area a little bit. Free parking on the side of the brewery. In nicer weather they have an outdoor beer garden. The bartender seemed very busy, she was serving the entire restaurant.
