My Deep Tissue massage was very good although because of my back pain, I asked the therapist not to go too deep to avoid pain and discomfort. The red light therapy was also relaxing and a nice add on. I am not sure of how effective therapy this is but was given headphones with relaxing music to add to the experience. With my spa services I was also able to use the Diplomat Hotel amenities including pool and beach. Although the pool area was very crowded even on a Monday afternoon and many children, not great if you want to relax, so I headed back to the spa early.

I'm not able to do spa days frequently, but I can tell you that when I do have the opportunity, I love this place. The owner is very nice, they've been around for years now. In the men's locker room, both showers were missing shampoo, which was frustrating and unexpected. This is something they should monitor more closely to ensure everything is stocked for guests. Before your treatment, you can relax in the "relaxation room," where they provide water and Biscoff cookies while you wait for your therapist to collect you. My massage therapist was fantastic! I chose the 50-minute hot stone aromatherapy massage, which was incredibly relaxing and exactly what I needed. However, there is an added $37 service tip automatically applied, which goes to your therapist. While I appreciated the service, I found it a bit strange that they impose this fee instead of allowing customers to decide how much to tip based on their experience. Irma asked me about what type of Spa services I previously had in MD and I told her about my previous Spa service I've had before. I liked that she asked those questions, because I'm coming from a different state, and she informing me that their is different terminology. Irma educated me about my skin, and what I mean by that is she took the time to explain what I need and what I don't need based upon her expertise as an esthetician. For example, all this time I thought I had moles on my face, but Irma said there weren't moles. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the scientific terminology name is, but she removed it. It took a day (maybe a few hours ) to heal, but when it healed my face was cleared of blemishes. It was unbelievable. It was like looking at my face for the first time just without moles. Every time I go to Irma I'm always satisfied with my results.
