My mom and I had an amazing time at HeedSpa today! First, the location is perfect. Heed is literally steps away from the beach, right next to the big Hallandale water tower. Second, parking is to the right and the spa is on the left. You can't miss it. Ashley and Shawn were our masseuses and they did a phenomenal job. I did not want my massage to end. Marina took care of us for the day and she made sure we were well taken care of. The atmosphere is clean, relaxing and smells refreshing. Overall HeedSpa has great vibes and an amazing staff. What a wonderful experience! My daughter and I got gifted with a certificate from my hubby for Christmas so we decided to get some mother/daughter time in on our day off from work and school. The facility is super clean and beautiful. The customer service was awesome from beginning to end. Marina helped us to figure out the parking location by meeting us up front. I got a deep tissue massage and my daughter got a Swedish massage, both 80 minutes. The room we were in was serene, you could see the beach in front of us. Our therapists were Andrea and Zenayda. Both did an excellent job. I would say that i would come again but was met with quite a surprise when I got to my car... a parking ticket because I backed in... nowhere in the parking lot are there signs posted saying no backing in. I was warned by Marina upon entering the lot that I needed to make sure to pay for parking before walking off because they give tons of tickets there. I did as Marina suggested. Once you get down below in the parking area, you lose all reception on your cell phone so you have to do it upon entry. So beware of these things if you decide to visit because the City of Hallandale Beach is watching you waiting for you to fall prey to their shenanigans, freaking crooks! Not even 15 minutes later and they hit me with a ticket. Sucks to be relaxed after a massage and then you end up getting a parking ticket. It turns out my card didn't go through in their system when I made the reservation (I booked over the phone with the receptionist), and I arrived 30 minutes before my massage, but they didn't even call me to say there was a problem with my card--they just canceled my massage and told me the massage therapist had left. HORRIBLE QUALITY!! I bought a bikini for my daughter for 130$ which later broke after it's first use in the beach. Later when I went back into the store to recieve my money back, they not only treated me with disrespect but also ignored my request and I left with no money in return for a horrible expirience. The bikini's quality was also not worth the expensive price and would overall not recommend any tourist to buy from this horrible business. We throughly enjoyed our ladies spa day. The customer service was great and the our massages were simply amazing. I had the therapeutic Thai massage which was awesome. My friends also enjoyed there services as well. We will definitely return on our next visit. However; Our only complaint was the VIP beach club option was not as promoted on the photos. I was going to say 3 stars but for how much we paid it's gotta be 2. If you're gonna up charge for the vacation and location fee that's fine but that means you get held to a higher standard. Yes the staff was friendly, however 15min late. The facility itself is ok nothing special. yes it was clean. They had sauna and shower that came with the massage so that's nice. The massage itself was relaxing. So what's the issue???? In my mind, if you pay $160 for a 50min deep tissue massage, it needs to be the best massage of your life, and simply put is was ok at best. Now maybe a light rub down is what you like but not for me. Imagine going to a steakhouse and the staff is nice and the sides are tasty but your steak is over cooked and lacks seasoning. That's what this was. I even told them to work my problem areas extra since I was in mid rugby season and extra sore. But a light hand glide ain't gonna do it. I'm still just as sore next day as I was the day before. I know I can get a more intense deep tissue massage for half the cost back home so just a bit disappointed. read more

This is lengthy but will help you avoid the mistake I made, I booked a spa day for my birthday 2/23 which included four services (body scrub, body wrap, facial and massage) I was assigned one technician. my first service was the scrub, it was fine, then immediately after the wrap, as soon as she stared applying the mud it felt like she was running ice cubes over my body, I flinched and advised her that it was freezing. She responded by giggling (it was innocent) After a few more strokes of application I asked if she could add hot water to the solution because it was unbearable. She did. After the mud was applied, I was wrapped in plastic and left to marinate for about 15 minutes. I then showered it all off. After the shower I asked the technician if I could have a few minutes in the sauna, she said no because she had to do my next service. Guys I came to the spa to relax, I really wanted a few minutes just to enjoy the spa, take in the experience, All I needed was about five minutes of alone time before my next service. On the way to the massage room we pass the coffee station, I asked if I could have a cup, I really just wanted to sit for a moment and relax (alone). Well touché to that idea, when I made my coffee the technician made her a cup too so while I sat on the sofa drinking my coffee she literally stood over me drinking hers. This made me anxious, I felt rushed, and possibly inconveniencing her. I quickly downed my coffee and was carted off to the massage and facial, the massage was mediocre and the facial I didn't like at all. I was finally able to make my way to the sauna, But there was no relaxing there because there is a restaurant right above the spa that plays music and you could hear the thumping through the walls. In closing, I felt like I was rushed through an assembly line instead of a relaxing day at the spa. I don't think one person should have been assigned to do all four services, It felt like after the second service she was tired and just going through the motions. (Especially with the massage) This really poor experience cost me exactly $398.00, and I honestly felt more relaxed before arriving at the spa. ****UPDATE***** I just had the pleasure of speaking with the owner David, he was sincere and apologized for my experience. David made no excuses and offered to make it right. I appreciate him taking the time to personally speak with me and validating my concerns. I had my two girlfriends in town and we decided to book the Bamboo massages. I did not know what I was in for but what an amazing experience. My girlfriends enjoyed the room with a beautiful beach view and although my room did not have a view it was beautiful and relaxing as just the same. The Bamboo massage was a different experience and at first a bit awkward but something you quickly get comfortable with as it hits as pressure points I didn't even know hurt and worked out all the kinks in between. ;) The ladies restroom/changing area is the epitome of relaxation and comfort! Upon leaving our amazing massages we were informed of the cafe/tiki bar right behind Heed Spa in which was very convenient and enjoyable. Also, conveniently there are chairs and umbrellas for rent for $20 each in which we also extremely enjoyed. What an amazing ending to such an amazing day. Thank you Heed Spa and staff!!!
