Found them on Yelp. After reading all the reviews, decided to give them a call. I spoke with Johnny on Tuesday and told him that I needed to have the door locks (all 4) replaced for my 2000 Mazda Protege. I had mentioned to him that this would be the 2nd time I'd have this done. 1st time I had the replaced was over 10 yrs ago and the guy I went to no longer in business. So I made an appt w/Johnny for Thursday @ 3PM. I arrived at the shop just before 3 and was met by an older gentleman, Hector. Told him I had an appt @ 3PM w/Johnny. Hector put down my info. I also mentioned that my car might need a new alarm, I wasn't sure if the current one was still working and that I have a backup camera that needed to be hooked up (the front facing camera already working, which is plugged into the cigarette lighter. Camera was purchased from Amazon during the pandemic). Johnny was currently OTL & would return shortly. Met with Johnny and went over what was needed. Johnny said that they would remove the passenger side panel 1st to check out the wirings and the motor. Took maybe about 20-30 mins. He came back and told me that 1, I didn't need a new alarm (definite PLUS!). Alarm still works, just have to reroute the wires and secure the siren. He gave me a run down of how much each job would cost (which by the way, to me, was affordable) and how long it would take, I told Johnny that I can leave my car overnight so they wouldn't have to rush. He was thankful that I offered to leave my car :-) I rec'd a call from Johnny around 9 AM this morning and told me my car was ready and he gave me the total amt. Nothing changed from what he quoted me yesterday. Overall experience with these guys.....A W E S O M E!!! I would definitely recommend my friends and families to them. They are affordable and HONEST! They could've easily sold me on a new car alarm unit, but they didn't. Unlike the bigger audio places, I probably would've end up paying more! I would definitely come back here for future audio work! Took my Honda to Hector's to swap out a set of component speakers that were installed by another shop before I knew about Hector's. Johnny helped me out by giving a thorough in person estimate. He explained the whole process clearly and answered all my follow up questions. I made an appointment and on the day of the install/swap everything went without a hitch. I appreciated how the older speakers were removed cleanly and still usable. I also appreciated how clean the install was. They took the time to align the logos of the tweeters properly. The previous shop who installed the older speakers glued the tweeters down with the logos oriented differently on each door. If you hate going to big box chain electronic stores this place is a God send. The people at Hector's are knowledgeable, honest, and pretty reasonable. They had all the parts I needed especially I have a really old car that I keep for nostalgia. I love my car and Hector made it sound better after installing the single DIN receiver I brought with me to the shop. I think their lobby is awesome. I was geeked out with the the things they had on display. I found this location via yelp, and I'm extremely glad. I took my car in because my radio stopped working. I talked to Johnny and he explained to me what could possible be wrong but explained my radio needed to be diagnosed first. After it was confirmed that my radio was damaged he explained ALL my options. It was such a relieve to know i even had options. He did not press me on making either options instead left it up to me.
