Back when we were high schoolers ourselves, we would've been happy with any banged up, basic sedan. I was driving a stick shift Herbie beetle with a broken handbrake, missing wipers, and a driver door that opened every time I made a left turn. Times were different then, much simpler, much safer imo. Now as parents, we are consumed with worry about the safety of our children (now new adults) especially behind the wheel and out on the streets. But we can't afford a souped up vehicle for each of them so used cars will have to do. This model has the digital dashboard but it had a CD player with the classic audio jack outlet--not at all compatible with today's ubiquitous smart phones. But we all know how just about anyone these days depend on this 2x4 portable computer. And that is how we've come to Henry who owns and runs Custom Audio Designs. Thanks to fellow Yelpers for their awesome reviews, we sought Henry's business for the purpose of installing a CarPlay system to replace the obsolete appliance that the car came with. While it has been mentioned that you can just walk in, I highly recommend that you make an appointment with Henry. That way, you get service that makes both parties happy. Henry was courteous to me and he provided 2 quotes of paying by cash or by card. I walked into Henry's shop on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at 10:30 a.m. to inquire about installation of a custom computer system and display, and to check out his new facility. He had moved from a space on Nogales several months ago, and my impression is that this is a much nicer and more spacious, high quality location. Henry was there personally and greeted me with a firm handshake. He checked out the specs of the devices, then he let me know that he can do it and what his hourly rate would be. He looked at my car and was going over some options of where to install the screen in the car. He invited me to bring in the hardware next time and he'll be able to give me an actual estimate. This is the definition of excellent service-- I'm sure he has plenty to do today, but him taking a few minutes out of his morning to just brainstorm a new project that I'm not even paying for yet is great service. I had initially mistimed the install date due to getting tint but they were understanding and told me to come back when I'm ready. Wanted to respect their time for getting back to me and answering all my questions so I reached out to them a week later and set up an appointment. They're super chill, really efficient and their work space looked clean and organized. When they talked to me I didn't feel rushed, the whole time it felt really calm. They ended up finishing earlier than what they told me and their pricing was really fair. When I went back to pick up the car, they sat with me and showed me how to operate the camera, how to connect it to my phone, and other settings I can utilize for the camera.
