The navigation screen on my Lexus went black after my battery lost charge, Lexus dealer wants to charge me $800 to check what's wrong with it, and my usual garage said he could not do much because he can't deal with electrical .. I looked up Yelp and found Henry , he responded my message and we set up a time to have my car looked at , sure enough he was able to figure out that I needed to have the electrical System rebooted after battery change, and that is all it took ! He charged me 1 million dollars for it (haha no !! ) I paid $50 for him to check and reboot it and I was on my way home and felt like a million bucks because of Henry I didn't have to over pay the dealership !!! Decided to stop by after one of my other Tundra buddy Kevin drop in for a full sound system installed. I showed Henry and his team of my problem and he recognized the custom enclosed fiberglass subwoofer box could not handle the pressure of the JL audio 13" TW5. Henry recommend a thicker MDF OF 1" with separated enclosure with more bracing to support the subwoofer. The new custom wedge enclosure sounded 5x better. The lows of the 20hz were hitting which was what this subwoofer was design to do. It just sounds amazing now, no more rear panel rattle. Just crisp clean sound quality hitting on que now! Thanks to Henry and his colleague for helping me replace my current stock halogen headlights with white LED headlights. There was nothing wrong with the stock headlights but I always wanted white headlights! Changing the lights is more complicated for the 2016 Veloster Turbo as it requires some disassembling and wiring stuff. The lights were tested a total of 3 times. The first 2 times, the left headlight kept flickering which made me uneasy about the LEDs. The 3rd time had a canbus added which fixed the flickering but also increased my cost. Overall, the experience was positive. Hopefully, the headlights don't run into any issues! Edit. Next morning, I cleaned the car and noticed the bumper was not put back on correctly. There were gaps between the headlight and bumper. In addition, the bumper was not aligned to the rest of the car and sticking out. Not too happy about it because I will need to drive back there to get it redone... Dropped down to 4 stars. read more

I bought a brand new truck that I spent a good amount of money on so I didn't want to get an aftermarket car stereo system installed from just anywhere. It wasn't easy finding a place that actually does a clean custom job. Mostly all shops out there drill holes and screw speakers and amps wherever they can fit in your car and not even using an adapter bracket doing some real dirty and sorry ass work. This shop here (Henry) made a custom amp rack for me and used the holes and bolts (screws) that were already in my truck so that he didn't have to drill new holes in my new truck. All their work was clean and I made sure of it by watching them solder, heat shrink, wrapping wires with tesa tape and using proper ferrules. I got four 8" Kicker L7's inside a ported enclosure underneath the back seat of my truck powering it with Kicker 1800.1 amp, Kicker 600.6 amp, Audio Control Epic Center and Audio Control LC7i. I am very satisfied with it and was well worth the money. If you care about your car and/or stereo system and want a clean job I 100% recommend this place. read more

I was left stranded in the middle of no where because of some of the wiring done at this shop. Pretty upset. I get it. You gotta get the job done fast, but at least do it properly. I spent a lot of money and time to fix all of the wiring that is similar to this. I only came to this shop for all of my wiring needs when it came to accessories, alarm, and stereo. I sorely regret it now. Update: Yes I saved every receipt. I spoke with you every time, Henry. I never took my truck anywhere else. I guess I trusted too easily. The alarm install was way more solid than the subwoofer install and my switches install. My subwoofer died because a wire shorted. The switches caused a drain on my electrical and left me stranded in the desert. I've spent a week going over all of the wiring done by your shop. I really suggest you don't do wiring this way to any vehicle that even remotely looks like they go outdoors. You will screw them over just like what happened to me. I just got done ripping out most of your wiring work. I'm sure you do better work, obviously my alarm was installed correctly, but everything else I had done needed to be removed. read more

Im glad i found this place. my house is like 30mn from the place. there are good reviews on yelp plus the installation price is super fair. i got a lot of quotes before i decide to have the flip down i bought online installed. some place are outrageous with the quote. i came down to two quotes with good reviews and similar in pricing. the other place doesnt have time till like two weeks. Custom Audio had me scheduled and accommodated me right in a couple days. i was a little nervous before they install. i was afraid they might mess up the roof or other components lol. they did a very good job. their estimate time to finish is like right there, done before the estimate time and the job is amazing. its installed in my 2021 Sienna with a sunroof. Spoke to Henry and he was very knowledgeable over the phone. I needed to have a 20 year old Falcon alarm removed from my car and a new one installed. I also was having issues with a parasitic power draw, draining my battery. He said he would take care of both. In just over an hour, Henry was able to fully remove the old alarm, verify no more parasitic power draw, install the new alarm and he showed me how it operate it. He also spent time configuring custom key combinations on the FOB to open the rear hatch and open the sunroof. The cherry on top was he was just great, personable and was helpful. When it comes to high end cars, a lot of shops will say they can do a modification but really can't. Instead they will send your car to Custom Audio and skim off the top and take credit. I just wanted to give credit where it's due when it comes to Henry and Art. They do everything and most importantly don't ever take shortcuts. Henry and Art were very careful taking apart my Ferrari piece by piece to install a upgraded head unit and custom media interface area so I can feel like I'm driving in the year 2018. Everyone pretty much knows how important your personal music is when driving and CarPlay capability is a must for me. I wanted to stream my music while charging my phone and project my Apple maps on the screen. Henry and Art went above and beyond to easily surpass my expectations. I've been coming to Henry now over the years since he first opened and he has done multiple cars for me whether it's an Audi or a Ferrari. You won't regret taking your car to Custom Audio. I came here to get my GM Passlock security removed and they did it successfully! They did the research and installed a DB3 module. In addition, they installed a Viper 5706V alarm with remote start at my request. I dropped off my 1999 Suburban on Friday and picked it up the following Monday. Total price was $500. I had the opportunity to test out their lifetime warranty on labor the other day. Almost immediately after I got the camera installed and got home, the camera started giving me issues. When I put my car into reverse, the backup camera would display about 20% of the time, otherwise displaying a blue and green screen. I promptly returned to Custom Audio Designs to see if we could figure it out. Henry checked everything and ensured all my connections were connected properly and we tested the camera and determined everything checked out. But the 2nd time I got home and tried it, it failed again, this time working about 50/50% of the time. After returning for the third time, Henry thought he knew what was happening. He replaced the power cable that came with my camera and gave me one he had in stock in his garage that was of a much higher quality. Inspecting my camera, he determined that there was poor soldering done on the cable and wasn't surprised in the slightest it wasn't working. He told me it was on the house, but I couldn't let that stand. So I left him a decent tip. Well, I've been going strong about a week and my camera has been working perfect! Very happy! They didn't charge me for any of the follow up visits and they didn't act like I was bothering them when I returned. They simply honored their lifetime warranty and got my camera working!
