Business not at address listed. Empty store front in business park. Waste of my time and gas.

Personally, I could never ever work in this place, because I would go insane listening to door alarms and horns going off while installing alarms. How Charles does it, I'll never know, but you can't go wrong here. From car alarms to steareos and door locks and a whole buncha other thingamajigs that that this guy has insight on how to do and install. First off, uou have an honest person that tells you the basics of what you need without gouging your pocketbook. And he will also tell you that you don't need something as well. He's just upfront with his products. Remember to call first, because Charles is sometimes busy out in the field doing installations as well. read more

Whistle Stop - Time for a new radio. Excellent highly recommended place. 100% guaranteed work. - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Covina, California

Highly recommend this place to anybody who want a quality stereo inhalation. Charles is very good at what he does. Made me a high quality sounding sub box for my new Tacoma. The way he ran all the wires and set up the amps is flawless. Charles kept me informed al let me know he was taking longer than expected because he was making sure everything was perfect. When I picked up my truck I was able to see the quality of his work. This shop's sales was easy, non-pressured, polite, and knowledgable. I've been to many stereo shops where they are rude and treat you like your stupid. Not to mention many stereo shops are overpriced and Coke out with different charges while they are doing they work. The whistle stop was reasonably priced, and the quality of the work is that of true professional. read more

Whistle Stop - 2 10" JL Audio subs in custom box. Built into 2016 Toyota Tacoma - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Covina, California

I have never done this before, But I am writing a review before the work is done, and the reason is simple... I have been looking for a place to install my stereo for a couple of weeks and every where I have gone I have been made feel either crazy or dumb... I don't pretend to know about it, that's why I go to professionals. Well that all changed yesterday when I went to whistle stop..Charles could not have been more helpful and honest... he was full of knowledge and steered me in all the right directions. I told him I was hoping to keep my stock back up camera and he said they will do what they can but they will make it work. He then called me a couple of hours later to tell me there was a harness I could get that will make it work... remember this was saving me $200 and he was losing a sale of a camera... this is the kind of professional honesty that we don't see very often. It was a pleasure to deal with them already.. honesty is hard to find in this business as I have learned before.. so I will update this after my work is done... but having this much confidence in this company already tends to ease the mind and let you know your car is in good hands.. Have to say a big thanks to all the Yelpers that recommend this place... otherwise I may never have found it read more

Whistle Stop - Awesome - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Covina, California

I recently had backup cameras installed in some 2013 work trucks. This was far from the normal "stereo shop" experience. Dan carefully explained the details of the installation, the component options and the costs without a hint of the uncomfortable sales pressure that one usually undergoes when purchasing aftermarket automotive electronics. Dan even went so far as to mention that he was going to do a little due diligence to make sure that the components were completely compatible with the Sync Ford system. The installation came out perfect and the cost was actually significantly lower than a local competitor. Whistle Stop is a great local resource for automotive electronics. Kshawn read more

Just had a very complicated alarm system installed here, and Dan and the crew here are top notch. One of the parts from the alarm system I brought in was defective, and basically him and I were working our butts off to get the problem solved, which took much longer than he originally quoted me for. They went truly far above and beyond any level of service that they were obligated to provide to make sure that my car was running and everything was installed correctly. Any automotive place that gets 5 stars from me is definitely the creme de la creme. Dan is an electrical genius, honest, and a friendly down to earth professional. If you need any audio or alarm work done; get your butt over here double time and let them know I sent you. : ) They will take care of your car for certain. read more

Whistle Stop is the best quality and most honest business I have ever entrusted my car to. I wish they performed vehicle maintenance... because I would certainly be taking my car there for all its needs. That being said, if you need an alarm system, stereo, speakers, or to have your car door locks fixed, they are the place to go. They are always polite, friendly and quick and you cannot beat their prices. I first went to Whistle Stop about a year ago. My aunt suggested them saying that they could fix my locks in the backseat of my car. I was skeptical. I had taken my car to a few other places, and the estimates I got were around $200 per door. So I had given up on that. I went to Whistle Stop just to humor my aunt, expecting that they would give me a similar estimate which I could not afford... well they ended up doing it for about $60 per door and were extremely quick! They do a lot of custom jobs for cars, but no job is ever too small for them. I have brought in my remote clicker to be fixed, and they treat it just like any other job. The great thing about them is when they give you an estimate, they are not planning on jacking up the price. In fact, every single time I have been there they end up charging me LESS than what the originally estimated the cost to be. If you are looking for a great deal, friendly service and a selection that cannot be beat, I highly recommend that you go to Whistle Stop! read more

This place is seriously the best in Covina on account of their customer service and quality work. Charles is the friendliest shop owner I have ever met. He took time out of his lunch to service my trucks radio. The selflessness of this extra- ordinary deed as made me a customer for life. Plus, after analyzing the problem with my radio he fixed it in under 10 minutes. Just wonderful, such a good a place. Please go and support a well operated small business in little ol' Covina. read more

This place lies to you and switches products on you. Their shop is a disaster and looks like a bomb went off there. They did work on my truck and ran wires though a drilled hole in metal without a bushing. Don't trust these guys. read more

Had cruise control installed on my 2015 Toyota Prius . James and the crew were AWESOME !!!! The installation was harder then they thought, because the car was suppose to be prewired for the cruise control, turned out it was not. A lot of extra work for Charles ( one of the 2 owners and installer on my car), But still charged me what the original quote was. I highly recommend this professional business. THANKS !!!! read more

Brought my 2013 Nissan Juke to install a backup camera with a 4.5-in LCD monitor purchased from e-bay. Dan and his staff did a great job to place the camera and monitor where I wanted but unfortunately we discovered the camera was not assembled correctly at the factory. The camera lense was pointing sideways and the housing case is too tight to allow any adjustments. It took 2 weeks for the replacement unit to arrive from Hong Kong and this time Dan offered me a discount rate for the 2nd installation service. A week later, the LCD monitor located on top of the instrument panel keeps shutting down due to heat exposure (direct sunlight). Made another appointment with Dan to relocate (move down) the LCD monitor to resolve the heat issue. To my surprise, Dad didn't charge me for this new job, he just wanted his customer to feel satisfied with his services. I never had such a great customer service for FREE!! I highly recommend Whistle Shop and remember to ask for Dan! read more

These guys are awesome! Reasonably priced, honest, prompt - what any potential customer could want. James and Charles have helped me with 2 of our cars. I'm going back with one more. I was initially put off by the location -industrial park - but I guess I was expecting a store front. It is easy to access, and like I wrote, the information and advice was very valuable. They helped with a new alarm, radio, and a power lock. The lock has been replaced 2 times previously by others - Charles explained why that may be and engineered a solution. They take pride in their work and their experience and concern for the customer shows! read more

It's so nice to find a reputable and honest business! A friend recommended Whistle Stop when my car's (BMW) Parrot system stopped working. I had been avoiding getting it looked at because the dealership in Monrovia suggested that it would be expensive to fix/replace. I called on Monday morning, explained the situation and Dan said "no problem, bring it in." I dropped off my car before lunch and received a call a few hours later. "I don't think there is anything wrong with your system other than the battery in the remote". Stupid I know but I was so relieved! My system works perfectly. Even better there was no charge, not even for the battery!! They could have charged me pretty much anything and I wouldn't have known but instead they were honest. Thank you! You have a customer for life. I plan to take my car back to have a navigation system put in soon. You guys are great. !!! read more

I couldn't be happier with Whistle Stop. Charles is a man of his word, and very friendly. Price is reasonable and got the car back in 2 hours. I was looking to get a car alarm for my husband for Father's Day and stumbled on these wonderful reviews. I knew that there were many shops nearby that installed car alarms but I didn't want to go with just anyone. I want things done right the first time around and that's exactly what I got. The alarm is awesome and my husband is thrilled. I plan on using his alarm services in the future and will definitely recommend Whistle Stop to everyone I know. Thank you so very much, Charles! read more
