This is the best place in Austin for doggy day care and boarding. The people are super caring,…read moreloving, and enthusiastic, and it shows in all interactions. My dog goes to day care as often as possible. Sometimes I've boarded her, which usually causes her to be reluctant the next time we go for day care. Not at Pups and Pals! She is so excited every morning! The daily schedule allows for group play and indoor rest. The staff evaluates the dogs' personalities, size, and energy levels before putting them in a group. Playtime includes best friends, lots of cuddles and kisses, pools in the summer, and always playscapes. They go out anywhere between 6-8 times a day, with breaks in their air conditioned suites. The building is super nice, very new, and the play areas have K9 grass that keeps their paws nice and clean. I especially like that it is hosed every night. BTW there's a groomer onsite! Just a heads up -- it's hard to see the marquis from the 1st street entrance. You really need to know what you're looking for! April and I give Pups and Paws 4 paws up!

While nobody likes to board their pups, they make us feel like they are being taken care of and mostly importantly - loved. The entire staff is incredible and goes above and beyond. A shoutout to Karina, Erin, Tiffany, Dani who always make our ladies feel special while we are out of town. Thank you for everything and for being an example of how a business should be run.

Nicole and her team are AMAZING! Nicole was referred to me by a friend of mine (so, word-of-mouth)…read morewhen we were in a pickle to get care to look after our 2 fur-babies while we went out of town the week of Thanksgiving. With not much notice, Nicole helped us out and had us covered for when we needed pet sitting. She asked all of the right questions, sent us photos every day of our babies (who we missed the entire time) and let us know (because we asked) when they were being cared for. I cannot tell you how much comfort it brought us to know that people like Nicole and her team were taking care of things while we took a whirlwind trip to get away on a Holiday week. I always say-you can't put a price tag on peace of mind but it's even better when that price tag is affordable and not breaking the bank for quality care! The price is extremely reasonable for the quality of care you get here. I'll never use anyone else and I can't recommend them enough! Seriously. Look no further!

Since he was little Mufasa has always had the same dog nanny to walk and play with him every weekday afternoon. My husband and I work long hours out of the house and believe allowing an animal to stay alone is unhealthy emotionally and physically for them. When we relocated from North Austin to South Austin, which is like moving to another city in most Austinities minds, we left behind Mufasa's dog nanny. THREE pet sitters later, all of who are on YELP, we found Capcity Pet Sitting. Capcity Pet Sitting has been a blessing to my peace of mind. I can tell when a person doesn't have the time to really put into caring for a dog and when a company is just in it for the transactional benefit. Will and Claire ENJOY taking care of our Mufasa and it shows in his attitude at the end of the day. Will and Claire always keep me updated on how the day went and any new behaviors I need to be aware of or keep an eye on. Mufasa is always played out by the time we get home and I know he's enjoyed his visit with Will and Claire. I hope we have the privilege of working with Capcity Pet Sitting for many years to come. I can't express enough how much we highly recommend them. Stephanie

Update in response to the owner's comment on my Google review:…read more I've attached my veterinarian's records to support my claim. From the assessment: "Given clinical signs and history, suspect recurrent aspiration pneumonia, possibly secondary to vomiting (gastroenteritis, infectious/inflamm/toxin) or concurrent upper respiratory infection" "Has a history of bronchopneumonia after boarding at the same facility in June." This is directly from VCA Tanglewood Animal Hospital. Please see the attached photo of the record for full context. - This is the second time our dog is dangerously sick after visiting this daycare. The first time, we were genuinely concerned -- he was lethargic, vomiting bile, had severe diarrhea, and wouldn't eat. When we called the owner, we were told he probably just needed to "sleep it off", "take him to the vet if you want to waste money", and that he wasn't used to that much play. We trusted that explanation, thinking maybe he was just overwhelmed. We still spent the money to get him checked out. He ended up needing antibiotics and several days of care, and the vet told us that if we'd waited any longer, he would've needed extreme intervention. We still thought it wasn't the daycare's fault. This week, after just 8 hours back at the same daycare, he had the exact same symptoms. The vet concluded that was no coincidence. Whether it's poor sanitation, exposure to illness, or something else -- the odds are this facility made our dog sick. It's not worth the risk to your dog's life or the medical bills. We're devastated, and we wouldn't want anyone else to go through this.
