Wow. What a difference local ownership makes! We've used…read moreRoy's Pest Control since 2014. TJ & Matt (owner's sons) have always been responsive, courteous, knowledgable, and fair in their pricing. They deliver quality service and are a pleasure to do business with. Unfortunately for their customers, Roy's was purchased by Plunkett's Pest Control, a much larger, Minnesota-based company, earlier this year, and the customer service has gone down the proverbial drain. On Monday, 7/15, we had a swarm of flying ants. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of ants. After several unanswered calls to the local number and also to the toll-free national number for Plunkett's, leaving messages and asking repeatedly for a return call, on 7/18 (fourth day after our first call) we received a response, which basically said they wanted to discuss our contract. Ultimately, on the 19th, I actually spoke to a company rep. He, unfortunately, was in Illinois. After attempting to direct the blame for Plunkett's total lack of response on the former business owners/managers, staffing issues, and every imaginable unrelated obstacle, he indicated they were "bringing in a team" over the weekend to get the staffing situation under control, and that they were "in the process of hiring and training technicians." Throughout his excuse-laden response, the Plunkett's rep told me "honestly this," and "honestly that" ( said "honestly" at least five times) and, finally actually apologized that Plunkett's had failed so miserably. By the time he got around to the apology, I "honestly" didn't care, as it was quite apparent to me that Plunkett's didn't care enough to adequately staff a new company acquisition in order to meet client demand, didn't want to acknowledge where the responsibility for that failure should rest, and had no chance of retaining my business. Plunkett's may redeem themselves once they get on the ball in Santa Fe, but it was not a good first impression, and, honestly, it will be the only impression we ever have of Plunkett's.

These guys are as good as it gets when it comes to responsibility and reliability , not to mention…read morethat they are unfailing polite and pleasant. We have been clients of Roy's for ten years and have never found a reason to complain. The best in Santa Fe!

I was able to get a quote and service date in less than a day and they came out a couple days later! I had them weed, rake, and pull a bush. My yard looks great and they only took about an hour to get it all done. Reasonable price, responsive customer service, friendly employees. I can't say enough nice things. Thank you guys sooo much. You really made my day!

I would not recommend as even basic landscapers. I hired them to complete the work started by…read moreprevious landscaper. The work required completing gravel/crusher fine installation. While this was done, they did not trench for water system flexible hose, staple down that hose prior to putting down the gravel. I did not notice until after they left so I'm having to go around the perimeter of the yard to do that myself. They did install metal landscaping edging. However, they installed it on the ground and did not trench it so assure it was not a tripping hazard. I then had them take it up, trench and reinstall, all which they charged my $200 dollars for. The also installed 6 12'x12' landscaping pavers to the tune of $350.00 on top of their original fee. Nice people, hard workers. If you want someone who knows requirements for landscaping, this company isn't for you. If you need someone to haul and distribute/rack gravel, this is your company.

On my many trips to New Mexico, I always wanted a ristra but never had any way to get it home. On my most recent trip to New Mexico, my husband and I came prepared with an empty large suitcase. I wasn't sure where to get a ristra but luckily Reddit steered me in the right direction. I had found out about Oscar's Tree Service from an old Reddit thread where someone asked where they could purchase a ristra in Santa Fe and this place near Taco Bell was suggested. The day before Easter, I was able to call to confirm that yes, they do sell ristras in the Spring and they had them in stock. I swung by and they have SO many ristras for sale in various shapes and sizes. You can get untreated or treated ristras depending on if you want to eat the dried peppers one day. I settled for a nearly 5 foot long ristra which ended up costing $72 including tax. The guy who checked us out was so nice and bagged it up for us because we were flying home to Las Vegas, Nevada with this ristra. It took up an entirely empty, large, hardshell suitcase as checked luggage. Less than 5 peppers broke in transit and were caught in the bag they packed the ristra in so we didn't have a mess of seeds in the luggage. My husband and I definitely want another one the next time we're in New Mexico. Great product and great service! Last visited: April 2026
