Linda Rice, owner of Native Bloom, designed and installed a beautiful garden in front of our house in 2015 and another in back in 2016, including a brick patio. Her excellent crew also installed the drip irrigation system. We had plenty of ideas of what we wanted and she worked closely and easily with us to incorporate most of our desires and gently explained why other ideas were not feasible. She also has a crew for maintaining gardens and drip systems, if you are interested in that. We rely on them for some of the heavier maintenance and do some ourselves. Now in their 2nd and 3rd years, our gardens look more beautiful each years as the plants mature and fill in. We know some of her other clients, and they are extremely pleased, too.

Everyone else I spoke to wanted me to re buy stone. His crew was professional, on time and his quote came in right on the money! They didn't charge me a penny over the initial quote even though it took a bit longer as there was so much detail given to the job. We could not be happier and would use him again in a heartbeat. PIcked them up yesterday and was shocked that in the pot was basically one tiny brown stick and a few tiny leaves. Felt very ripped off. They require advance ordering/paying. If I had seen what I was getting before paying, I never would have gone with them. I will go to other nurseries in the future and get more established plants for a much better price. I knew this in the past and somehow forgot. Much easier and cheaper to go to other local nurseries and see what I am getting. On the positive side, the staff is nice.

So I now stick to the routine and buy a quality plant from Agua Fria! Of course, I tell myself to stay focused and just look in the tomato greenhouse. But the nursery is full of temptations down every row and section. I ended up with four varieties of tomatoes, two varieties of cucumbers, leeks, and a mesa red blanket flower. I only stopped because my friend has a small hatchback and the space was limited. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. I have found that the plants I buy from Agua Fria are healthy and productive and great value in the long run of our short and unpredictable growing season.
