His business card, bearing the emblem "Everybody must get stone!", made the rounds of many friends and family, all of whom were blown away so he was already a cultural hero in our little circle. Fast forward four months - We had to excavate the side yard to the tune of 11 tow truck loads and were left with a south end of the lot that now needed a long retaining wall. None too happy about the added expense, we went back to John with something very specific in mind. He listened carefully and showed us photos and examples from his lot of what the finished wall could look like and we were sold. He and his band of merry masons showed up with the stone two days later and began a painstaking process of bringing our vision to life. Viewing the day's progress turned into an evening ritual that never got old. The care, artistry and technical skill of his team produced what everybody agreed was the highlight of our property and the best view from any window. The built-in banco remains cool in the shadows and will be much used as a resting place as we build the adjoining vegetable garden. We went with the lower end quote and got what looks to us like the higher end product. We couldn't be happier and wouldn't use anyone else going forward.
