We had plenty of ideas of what we wanted and she worked closely and easily with us to incorporate most of our desires and gently explained why other ideas were not feasible. She also has a crew for maintaining gardens and drip systems, if you are interested in that. We rely on them for some of the heavier maintenance and do some ourselves. Between the dog digging under and the one or two big rains we had part of the highest wall collapsed. We called Alonzo for a plan and estimate. We wanted a block wall with a cleaner look, tiers the same height across the length, stairs to the top, and a way to divert the water run-off for any large storms. This involved taking down over 100 railroad ties, movinv tons of sandy dirt, adding irrigation and top soil, to the second level for planting, laying 80 lb blocks and caps, steps, grading the top level to direct any run off away from the wall and toward the rock lined retention pond and slope at the side, back filling dirt behind the walls and compacting as much as possible. In addition he restored the rock landscaping in the front that was disrupted with the equipment and rock uaed for the back. His team was on the job every morning before 7, and worked until 4:30, taking minimal breaks other than a normal lunch , they cleaned up their trash and whatever trash was associated with the project, and made sure our gate was secured at end of day so our dog didn't get out of the yard. They were respectful and polite and worked hard. It was an expensive project with a lot of work, completed in about 2 weeks, and is beautiful. The transformation from railroad ties to block enhances our home look so much . Can't wait to plan for the plants. Thank you Alonzo and 2 Green Landscaping. Would love to put numbers in here to show the difference but since I never got the quote emailed to me I cannot tell you how much they would charge you. Jess Clemens led the team for the hardscape and Beverly Perky led the team for the soft scape. Both were an absolute delight to work with. Everyone were good communicators and would answer my calls and texts in a timely manner. The team who actually built out the design were a dream team. In fact, I was so impressed with them I actually made a painting of them at work. They were always on time and cheerful. I could tell they enjoyed each other as well as their work. In addition, they knew how to prune trees and make them look good. What an art! After the job was completed we did a walk through and they fixed any details that we pointed out.
