This morning I was craving a bacon egg and cheese and decided to stop here and try it out. I had a bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll that was pretty good I wish the bacon was a little crispier but I would get it again. I also saw that on their menu they had a gyro egg and cheese so I decided to get a sandwich for my boyfriend as well. They have a nice variety of donuts but make sure to come early so you can get the best picks! The woman at the counter was nice and had good customer service. We did get the Apple spice donut as well. I can't wait to try some other flavor of the donuts. read more

Ordered a medium iced caramel latte. There is no way it was made with espresso. The bottom half of the cup was milk and the top tasted like some leftover biter iced coffee. Hate to complain but it was $7.50 (could have went to one of the fancy coffee shops for that price) and went immediately into the garbage. read more

I come here often. Maybe a little too often. This donut shop is clean. Fast friendly service. All of the women at the counter and drive thru are always friendly. The coffee is fantastic and that's the biggest reason I keep coming back. The reason that's hurting this place is their inconsistent quality with their donuts. When they're on point, they are outstanding. I mean crazy delicious. But more often than not they aren't that good. The last 3 times I've been here within there last month I've thrown the donuts out my window on my way to work because they are way too dry or just not good. One of my favorite places to go every time i come to CT. It's nostalgic for me because I grew up coming here! The staff is always friendly, the drive thru is so convenient, the food is really good and I love all the coffee flavor options they have! Donuts are delicious, food & coffee is good. Fast service. Went there yesterday, Wed. The staff who took our order were short, cold and indifferent. No warmth or even a thank you. You can have the best food in the world, but if the staff is cold and looks like you're a bother to them when they have to take your order, great chances are, people don't come back. The first time I went to heavenly donuts in Seymour a young woman took my order. She was polite and had great energy and even suggested some donuts to me. She said she's tried every one and how important it is so she can make suggestions to customers. She was a sweet young lady. I loved her beautiful purple hair! I only recommend the Derby location. Effie is the best and it is always nice to see her. The service is fantastic and the bacon egg and cheese sandwiches are amazing. The Seymour location is hugely disappointing in comparison . The pricing for the same items is inconsistent at each visit and expect to invest no less than 20 minutes in the drive through. Also don't be surprised if your order is wrong. The wait in the drive through on Father's Day exceeded 30 minutes. I had to leave and go elsewhere. read more

The donuts are delicious. The dog biscuits are a favorite. The gyro sandwich - put the sandwich down and back away slowly. The tomatoes are tasteless. There is mustard and ketchup on it - ewww. Went here for breakfast this morning and the owner was very rude, I would not waste my money or time here. He was mad I brought my own coffee but I ordered 2 BEC sandwiches and 2 donuts. The BEC sandwiches were small and $6 each, as well as the small donuts ($14.58 total). I wasn't panning on stopping in hence why I had my own coffee and their coffee is not usually piping hot and they don't fill it up all the way. I wont ever be coming back and you will probably get better food and service at another establishment even Dunkin which is right up the road. read more

I have been by this place for many, many years and have seen the cars shows there so I assumed it was popular. So we finally decided to stop by. We came there around 7 PM on Saturday. There were people sitting in the place and they appeared to be regulars by the way the employee interacted with them. Anyway, there was a sparse variety of donuts and other treats. They close at 9 PM. I would think that a place that has donuts in it's name would have a good variety all day/night long. They are super slow and mess up your order frequently. They have given me cold coffee several times and when I've asked for a hazelnut they give me cinnamon instead. I rather them tell me that they have nothing brewed then lie and just give me their alternative . This has happened on several occasions and it's very frustrating. I have been here a few times and honestly todays' visit is why I wrote this review. Sadly, I ordered two egg and cheese sandwiches and they were both made poorly (half burnt bagel, paper stuck to the bagel in with the cheese) and hard to eat but for how expensive they were, I wasn't going to throw them out. What stood out to me the most was hearing one of the staff members interact with the two young girls working the counter and drive thru. We could have them getting scolded and talked too and a very mean tone by the drive thru window about an order. The young girl seemed to shake it off like she had been spoken to like that before when she spoke with us at the counter. I hope that this is not always the environment but I do not think I will be going back to find out. read more

I see that Heav*NLY used to be over in Derby on rt 34, and re-located to this location with a drive thru. I ordered a coffee and a bagel. Girl who took my order was a little short with me and waited a little bit to actually get my bagel. I decided to try this place after surviving by it every day on my way to work. I went inside, instead of going thru the drivethru. I ordered 2 large coffees, and 2 bacon egg and cheeses, extra egg. Swiped the card without realizing the insane price of $19.99. The eggs were incredibly over cooked, one of the sandwiches was inedible as the egg was burnt all the way thru. The bacon they used is the thin precooked crap you buy on the shelf at the store, and the coffee was water. Never ever again. read more

All I have to say is...overpriced. When you order, the pricing panel is not used so you don't know what you are paying for until you get the product. It is a shocker. The taste is nothing special. I've tried this location (716 Derby Ave., Seymour, CT) 3 times in order to give it a fair review but I find I can not do it. The first time the donuts were so stale that I had to throw them out. The second time I thought I'd try their Greek food. Have you ever had a gyro with mustard and mayo as Tzatziki sauce. Yuk! This is the last time - 2 powdered jelly donuts - one without any powder at all, the other without any jelly whatsoever. Every time I've been through the drive-in here the help make it seem like you're a nuisance to them. They are very unpleasant. Let me say - this is in no way any reflection on the Heavenly Donuts on RT 34, New Haven Ave., Derby, CT. Their service is extremely friendly, fast and welcoming and their donuts are always fresh, light, airy and delicious. They're a 5 star rating. I also just noticed that this location in Seymour is using bags marked with the 658 New Haven Ave., Derby location. That's just not fair. read more
