We received our DVD's from Tory this week and sat down last night to watch both of them. It was so amazing to re-live the day!! The set of 2 DVDs are in custom made wooden DVD cases which are gorgeous. Tory used a picture from our first dance on the cover the of the DVD's to add a more personal touch! :) Even the "menu" is so snazzy with moving video icons! Everything was perfect! Neither my husband nor I have seen a wedding DVD before but I had the faint idea that it would just be a straight up recording of the day. The feature film was beautifully edited incorporating songs from the day, voice overs from those dear to us, and gorgeous details shots mixed in with footage. We know that we're biased since it was our wedding day, but we'd like to think that we can now show this to ANYone and they would find it engaging and fun to watch! I love that Tory was able to take the whole day and create this wonderful 20 minute narrative. :) When we watched the ceremony over again it was especially significant to me, because I got to see things that I missed out on the first time: our parents being seated, the flower girl and ring bearer walking down the aisle, and the faces of our guests! I love how Tory took so many shots of the guests during the ceremony! All the angles and editing for the ceremony made something that had a VERY huge potential to be boring, into something that I can see myself watching over and over again. My husband's favorite part were the speeches. The sound came through so well and you can hear every part of each speech. The whole day was such a blur that being able to sit down again and hear the words of our friends and family is precious. Hubby and I were both so pleased with how everything turned out. Tory was a pleasure to work with! She was professional and easy-going, putting me and my entire wedding party at ease. We barely noticed her throughout the day because she filmed so smoothly! As much as we love the photos we received from the day, these videos capture so much more. Tory is incredibly talented and puts in extraordinary effort (I have a friend in film so I have a little bit of reference to how long editing takes). Her style is the perfect balance of modern and classic and she truly captured the essence of the whole day. She created something we'll treasure always. :)

From my initial meeting with Mackenzie, I felt right at home. After I signed the contract, I dealt with Nikki who was an absolute sweetheart and professional. She emailed and called in a timely manner and made revisions to my schedule 100 times with a smile on her face! Then of course there was Nela, my photographer. I cannot speak highly enough of Nela. Nela arrived Thursday evening and got right to work after getting off the plane. She walked around the property scouting locations and met with me to discuss her ideas. I was blown away by her tenacity and dedication to her craft. She was studying, taking notes- a true professional. Nela and I walked around the property for around an hour, discussing the plan for the wedding day. Her professionalism didn't end there. My now husband, Max, HATES taking pictures. Further more, Nela was an energizer bunny and ninja rolled into a petite frame. She was running around for 8 hours getting every shot, no matter the angle. She braved the elements, heat and even rain with poise and grace. Not only was Nela beyond professional, she is a lovely person!!! For a destination wedding, this is key!!!! My wife and I have attempted to resolve an ongoing situation with this elementary school…read morephotographer (Photography by Felicia) to no avail. Most recently, Felicia has presented us as liars, for the second time, to the school, only to be disproven (again) and has now gone as far as to make a false claim in an email to the principle that I own a fake Facebook profile used to "disparage" her company. Being a local business owner, this latter point has crossed a line. Felicia is known to complain about everyone under the sun on Facebook and I have no doubt I've been affected. I would hire a lawyer for defamation, but it is unlikely such an offense would warrant enough money for a lawyer to get involved. This ongoing rift stems back to the beginning of the 2017 school year. Our son's 4th grade portrait and class photo prints were the color blue and visibly altered to the point of looking like goo. I have a photography background and understood the problems to be the result of an unchecked automated editing process or lack of quality control. Both are simple problems to correct. I began attempting to contact Felicia in November 2017 via email and phone to address the issues and received no reply. This continued through May 2018 and was accidentally brought to the previous principle's attention when I received an email from the school about an upcoming photo day and mistakenly replied to him rather than the photographer. I let the issue go for the summer. Fast forward to January 2019 and the PCA request for 5th grade yearbook photos. As we had not been shown our son's photo, I was concerned. Apparently you only get to see the photos if you pay in advance (this is an outdated practice). Given the fact that over a year later, the 4th grade picture issue had still not been addressed, we were not about to give any money to this company. In a heated series of emails (PCA members included) we were accused by Felicia of lying about paying for the 4th grade photos. We immediately disproved this by digging up a copy of the cashed check. By March 2019 I had had enough. Up to this point I had refrained from saying anything on social media, but now resorted to the threat of going public with our story on Facebook and other platforms. Felicia's response was to involve the principle and attempt to generate sympathy. My wife spoke briefly to him about this and was told we would finally get our photos. Success. We received the photos in May 2019. 18 months late. We moved on. Our daughter started kindergarten this year and problems have started again. We did not receive our daughter's photo despite leaving a check in the school office as requested. In an email to the new principle, Felicia again called us liars about paying and accused me, in writing, of using a fake Facebook profile to "disparaged" her. This is a baseless, defaming claim that I am very angry about. But given the number of other parents with their own horrible Felicia experiences, I am not surprised to hear it. After more angry emails, we finally received our daughters picture, but no class picture. And despite being told not to contact me twice, Felicia continues to include me in emails sent to my wife and the principle whom she has only shared a skewed version of why I am so "mean" to her. I could go on and on, but there is a problem here that is not being addressed. For 3 grades now we have been unable to share school photos with grandparents at the holidays. Our kids went without school photos on the fridge. No parents should be treated this way. School photos are supposed to bring back good memories. Not this. Why Photography by Felicia continues to be hired at Sea Cliff Elementary I do not understand. Her pattern of lies and incompetence is unacceptable and any other school would have hired a more professional company by now. The thought of having to deal with her for another 5 grades makes me nauseous.
