Other than the amazing pictures, I think what most impressed me about her was how incredibly professional yet relatable she was - she really managed to strike the perfect balance between being omnipresent enough to capture everything and being invisible enough to blend in with the party. I feel like the pictures from my wedding are actually unique and truly reflect our personalities. While neither of us had been photographed in this personal fashion before, Liza's warmth and ease behind the camera (and with us) ensured that our photos came out easy, natural, and beautiful. Our photo shoot happened to be in Dumbo on an extremely busy fall Saturday in NYC. Liza had scoped out the best locations for our shoot, and scrambled in and out of foot (and car!) traffic to take stunning portraits that made it look like we were the only ones around. Not an easy feat given how packed it was! I cannot recommend Liza more - her eye for composition and capturing the depth / personality of intimate moments sets her apart. I urge you to review her portfolio and see for yourself the incredible time capsules she has created of her children and clients... words can't do her justice and once you take a peek, you'll need to look no more.

My friend and I came to Julie Saad's studio for girls' day out/glamour portraits. Prior to the…read moresession, we were both able to Skype with Julie and show her some clothes we were considering for the photos. We got to talk about out concepts and what feeling we wanted for the images. Julie helped me to choose pieces that would photograph well from what was already in my closet. Before, during, and after the session, Julie was fast and responsive any time I needed to reach her by email or phone. When we arrived for our session, we had a wonderful hair and makeup session with Amy Klewitz! She was fantastic!! Both Amy and Julie were so warm and friendly, there was no time to feel nervous - I felt completely at ease! We also laughed a lot, making for a super fun day! Julie's studio is small but bathed in sunlight! Julie has a variety of fabrics and backdrops to complement any look or feel (light and airy, dark and dramatic, fun and playful, etc.). We were able to take pictures in a variety of outfits with different backgrounds in just a few hours. We got to take pictures individually, as well as together. Our pictures were ready for us really soon after. Julie set up an appointment where we could view the images -- not on a computer screen, but beautifully matted and ready to display! It was a magical experience getting to see them this way. The pictures came out amazingly, and this made it very hard to choose the final ones! However, Julie didn't rush us and allowed us to really take our time. When the final decision was made, we received our pictures in the mats and in beautiful keepsake archival boxes. They were wrapped and presented wonderfully, and included flash drives of the digital images. I have given some of the pictures away as gifts and I've gotten so many complements on them! I am so happy I got to have this experience with my friend and that Julie made this such a great day for us both! We will never forget it and we have the wonderful photos to forever enjoy! WEIRD SIDE NOTE: After I shared some of Julie's photos of me on social media, Julie noticed some fraudulent Twitter accounts using the images and she alerted me right away. I truly appreciate her looking out for her clients and ensuring the pictures weren't being misused.
