My now husband and I are truly honored and fortunate to have had the chance to work with Rebecca Yale. Rebecca is truly an amazing wedding photographer and the first person we signed after booking our venue. She was always so quick and responsive to our emails and offered her advice and suggestions throughout the entire process. Rebecca was such an asset to our whole wedding experience--organized, calming, super friendly, bubbly, warm and amazingly talented. Her love and passion for what she does is obvious and her dedication to creating the most perfect shots for us from all angles and right types of lighting was truly inspiring. She's not afraid to take control and direct to get the shots she wants while still being polite and professional to other vendors. During the shoot, Rebecca paid attention to every little detail- helping me adjust my dress and positioning us to get the most complimenting angle. I wanted someone who I knew I could trust to capture our special day, as it was, and all the emotions of our guests and the gorgeous scenery. She helped make the wedding day run smoothly and documented it thoroughly and beautifully. We received 7 edited preview photos at 1AM, 3 hours after our wedding ended!! Her dedication and brilliance set her aside from other photographers and we cannot wait to see the rest of our wedding day gallery. Thank you Rebecca Yale for capturing the most important day of our lives!

After looking at a TON of photographers online, we chose Rebecca for two reasons: 1) her blog/portfolio was amazing, and 2) she was by far the most responsive photographer we tried to contact. Rebecca was in constant email contact with us, asking us how we met, where we got engaged, what ideas we had for our photo shoot. When we got to NYC, she also some location ideas of her own, and those ended up being our favorite!! We were able to relax and shoot easy with her, and she was very professional, on time, and got us our photos in a very quick turnaround time. Both my fiance and I LOVED our photos, and our families were equally impressed and excited! The best part about Rebecca (aside from her amazing talent) is her down-to-earth attitude and willingness to dive right into your project. We actually lost (I know, I know) our entire USB with our engagement photos, and Rebecca mailed us another one immediately for a nominal fee. She is so responsive, which I cannot stress enough having dealt with many other wedding vendors who have the "I'll get to it when I get to it attitude." Very highly recommended. Incredibly professional and extremely talented!!

When it came time to find a photographer for our own wedding, there was hardly any question. We were, of course, not disappointed. Everything from the planning stage to the experience of the wedding day, to the wedding photo webpage, was professional. Emily took all of our crazy, fickle direction without batting an eye -- but also made her expectations and opinions clear as well, which helped guide us and put our minds at ease as we stressed over the details (and the prospect of subjecting the hired guns to our wacky families). Her greatest strength is in her candids -- as another review said, each one really does manage to tell a story. And when it came time to do portraits, she was a machine, managing to corral our enormous families (an amazing feat) and getting great shot after great shot, all with a smile. We've gotten so many compliments from friends and family on the final photos. More "best pictures I've ever seen" than I can count. Of all of the professional pieces that were involved in putting this wedding together, the photography was the least stressful, and gave some of the greatest results. We'll treasure these forever.

There is no one we would have trusted more to capture our wedding memories than Forever…read morePhotography. Having followed their instagram page for years, their photos were total inspiration and the "couple goals" that I always envisioned. Fast forward to last year, my now-husband proposed and I reached out to Forever Photography that very same day. So when I say they have been there for us since day 1, I mean it! I have always believed that photos would be the most important piece of the wedding day because everyone always told me it goes by so fast - and it's true. Having an authentic and natural photography style was a big priority for us when planning our wedding and that is exactly what Forever Photography delivers. Upon contacting them to share the news of our engagement, Jessica was prompt to respond and so excited to be part of our journey. Once we landed on our venue and date, Jessica walked us through the package options based on what worked best for the flow of our day. We are so glad that we reached out early because now having been involved in planning several weddings since then, I've learned that photographers book up very quickly. All of Forever Photography's wedding packages come with a complimentary engagement session which is such a value. To preface, my husband and I had never been the subjects of a photo shoot working 1:1 with a photographer so we were a little nervous about what to do and how to pose beforehand. Jessica has a fun and creative personality so she provided us with helpful direction throughout our session while making us feel totally relaxed. My husband who doesn't love to take pictures even said that he felt so comfortable in front of the camera! I really wish I could write 2 reviews because the engagement photos deserve a review of their own. We received so many compliments, even some going as far to say that they were the best engagement photos they'd ever seen. These photos were used for our wedding website, save the dates and décor items like a canvas for an easel and photo frames that we used for the bridal shower and wedding. Beyond the decorative aspect, the engagement session helped us to get comfortable in front of the camera... no one wants awkward wedding photos! As we hit the wedding year and the event finally started to come together, Jessica was so instrumental in my timeline planning and willingly gave me direction where needed to ensure all of the details we were choosing were cohesive with our theme. If you are someone who thrives on and needs communication, this is the team for you. I shared with Jess everything from the hotel rooms we would be getting ready in, to the color and style of the pajamas for my bridal party, to the smallest accents like our ring dish. Jessica even went out of her way to bring me a velvet engagement ring box the day of the wedding because she found one that matched perfectly with our color scheme for our details photos. This just goes to show how much she cares and goes above and beyond for her clients. Our wedding day arrived and the forecast was calling for rain so I was a very antsy Bride. I wanted to make sure we had a smooth morning getting ready at the hotel so we could get to the venue for our outdoor photos before the weather took a turn. Not only did Jessica manage to get all of the photos on our shot list but got us promptly to the venue in enough time for my husband and I to have our intimate "first look" on the docks with the waterfront backdrop we always dreamed of. Through every part of our day Jessica and her team did not miss one detail or special moment. Forever Photography truly captured the essence of the love and emotions felt between my husband and I, and the people we love the most which truly shines through our photos. I will never forget how in awe we were receiving our wedding preview photos and our full gallery, because they made our day look better than what you see on Pinterest. We can never thank them enough for capturing our I Do's, every tear drop, laugh and dance move on the best day of our lives.

In the sea of bright and overexposed wedding photos, there was something that stood out. The photos I saw had this retro style, had wonderful contrast and I found there was always warmth in their subjects. There is actual depth to their portraits and these ladies are able to capture the nuances of every emotion that occurs on your special day. Take a look at their IG/Yelp review photos and you'll see that they look like Renaissance portraits set in the streets of Brooklyn. When my husband and I met up with Jessica, she made us both feel at ease, as we've never had our photos taken professionally together before. The tips she gave us made us feel more comfortable and made the photographs turn out phenomenal! I love each and everyone of our photos from our engagement/wedding, but my favorites are definitely the candid ones. If you're looking to stay on a budget for your wedding, take my advice and do not skimp on the photographer. Thirty years from now, when you are looking back at your wedding photos, I HIGHLY doubt you're going to regret the money you spent on your priceless wedding photos. My mom has literally blown up our engagement photos into large canvases to put around her home and I have no doubt she'll do the same with our wedding photos. Honestly, any time I will have an event in the future, be it baby shower, graduation, whatever, I will definitely be using forever photography.

If I could give Everly Studios 10 stars, I would. Every step of the way, our wedding day was done our way. From our first phone call, Jocelyn really listened to us and understood our vision for our wedding day. She helped us plan an itinerary for the day that was authentic and effortless. On our wedding day, Jocelyn was the only person present, and we wouldn't have it any other way. She was our witness, our hype-woman, and captured every moment of the day along the way. She did the vital job of documenting our special day, but she was also a joy to be with. She made us feel completely at ease with her and her camera. The photos speak for themselves. She fully encompassed our vision of moody, candid, authentic, dramatic shots. We are so proud to show off these pictures, and every person we show is blown away by them. Perhaps more important than the incredible aesthetic of the shots, though, is that she captured us. She captured our energies, our story, and chronicled the best day of our lives. Jocelyn, we cannot thank you enough for documenting our wedding day with your art. To anyone considering elopement photographers, you will be glad you chose Everly Studios!

We met with Jocelyn Voo over Zoom before moving forward with working with her for our special day as our photographer and our witness. Jocelyn was absolutely outstanding for more reasons than one. Firstly, we felt that she really "GOT" us, from start to finish. She listened to our vision (dark, moody, candid, casual, gritty) and as wild as some of our ideas were, she totally leaned in and delivered exactly what we were looking for! Secondly, when you're eloping just the two of you, having a third person present is intimidating; what if it's awkward? What if the vibes are weird? But Jocelyn was an absolute joy to spend time with! I'd go so far as to say that her presence made the day even more special. She asked us about our love story, she joked around with us, and seemed genuinely interested in who we were as people. This also impacted the photos, as you can see how comfortable we are and how much fun we're having. Third, Jocelyn is an expert at her craft, although not pretentiously so. Her website offers so much guidance on how the elopement process works. Her emails with us gave us contacts for who to reach out to for certain steps (We took pictures in the lobby of the Beekman and had to have permission granted; something we certainly wouldn't have known!) Not only did we consider Jocelyn our photographer, but our guide in the process of eloping. She also is an expert in that her photo-taking does not appear obvious! I was worried about having professional pictures taken of me in public, but onlookers barely noticed as Jocelyn very naturally pulled her camera out and snapped pictures. If you are eloping in NYC, there is simply no contest; Jocelyn at Everly Studios is your photographer. You won't regret it, and I genuinely believe our wedding day would not have been as smooth and enjoyable if it weren't for Jocelyn.

As we started to decorate, we used many photos that her dad had taken out west of cowboys and horses. We then added an old cigar store 7 ft wooden Indian and kept going with saddles and more. It became quite the cowboy and Indian theme. Sitting one night in front of the fireplace I said I would really like a family portrait over the fireplace. The only option in my mind was all of us in cowboy hats. The kids thought I was crazy. We contacted Joyce Anderson and discussed our needs. She made a trip up to our home and scouted locations that would enhance the background of the photo. Finding a horse ranch near our home, she asked us all to suite up and meet her there. What a fun time we had walking around the ranch and taking photos of us in different poses. Joyce was so helpful in getting us to laugh, setting up for the perfect shots, and making suggestions that would produce the perfect portrait. Once we chose the picture we wanted from the multitude of fabulous photos taken, she recommended printing the photo on canvas in a black and white somewhat sepia tone. WOW INCREDIBLE!!! I literally come up on the weekend, light a fire, and stare at that portrait every night. It is an AMAZING centerpiece to be enjoyed for generations to come. Thank you Joyce, for all your expertise, attention to detail, talent and patience. You have created our dream picture for all our friends and family to see.
