After going down the rabbit hole of looking at dozens of similar wedding photographers, I stumbled on forever photography. In the sea of bright and overexposed wedding photos, there was something that stood out. The photos I saw had this retro style, had wonderful contrast and I found there was always warmth in their subjects. There is actual depth to their portraits and these ladies are able to capture the nuances of every emotion that occurs on your special day. Take a look at their IG/Yelp review photos and you'll see that they look like Renaissance portraits set in the streets of Brooklyn. When my husband and I met up with Jessica, she made us both feel at ease, as we've never had our photos taken professionally together before. The tips she gave us made us feel more comfortable and made the photographs turn out phenomenal! I love each and everyone of our photos from our engagement/wedding, but my favorites are definitely the candid ones. My original photographer canceled on me the morning of my wedding without providing a backup photographer -- you read that right. MY ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHER CANCELED ON ME AT 10:30AM THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING. Andrea came to the rescue and I ended up with higher quality photos than I would have with the original photographer!! When I got the news, my family and I were scrambling. Everywhere we tried to find a photographer with such short notice was leading to a dead end. You can imagine that it was really starting to put quite the damper on my wedding day. But 30 minutes later, I'm signing a new contract with Andrea, on what was CLEARLY her day off. She swooped in with the upmost grace and professionalism. It was pouring rain and 90 degrees outside but she LITERALLY SAVED THE DAY anyway. Andrea could have taken advantage of this situation. She knew I was in a bind and that she was my only hope. Many people in this industry would have taken that opportunity, but not Andrea. Rather than surcharging me, which I was willing to accept, she kept us in our budget. Heaven sent. The quality of the photos speaks for itself, but beyond that -- Andrea KNEW what she was doing. To the point that I was actually grateful that my original photographer didn't work out. She showed up early, got the shot with my makeup artist just before she left, and worked so seamlessly with my videographer despite having JUST MET HIM that it was practically like they were in business together. I've seen some shots she got just from the preview pics and it's incredible how much she captured without me even realizing she was there. There are up-close pictures of my husband and me during our ceremony, yet somehow there are ALSO aerial views from upstairs during our ceremony. HOW DOES SHE DO IT?! That's just straight up magic. My fiancé, Cameron, and I had our engagement photos taken by Jessica and we are simply blown away by how they turned out! We went with the two-location session and Jessica was so fun, professional, friendly, and open-minded about the areas we chose. Andrea and Jessica -- the two women behind Forever Photography -- are talented photographers and amazing people. We found them by doing a search on Yelp for "best affordable wedding photographers." Their online portfolio showed how they pay attention to detail. Moreover, each photo exuded warmth that we didn't see in other online portfolios. They quickly responded to our email query, and soon thereafter set up a meeting at a coffee shop so we could meet and learn more about their services and prices. We were so impressed that we booked them right away. The 1-hour engagement photo session came complimentary with the wedding package, which was nice because other photographers charge extra for that. We chose our favorite locations in the West Village and they met us there. They directed us effortlessly (telling us when to lean our heads close together, when to gaze into each others' eyes, and more). It was really fun! The engagement photos were amazing. They did both color and black & white -- we even used one for our wedding program. On the day of the wedding, Andrea and Jessica wore black and flitted around, getting the best shots. They took great 'before' photos, family portraits and ceremony photos. They also captured moments at the cocktail hour and the following reception. We're so glad they had the idea to get table shots, because this ensured that everyone at the wedding was in a photo. After the big day, they posted a blog of about the 20 best photos from the wedding. We loved it, and shared it with family and friends. Really amazing work. Jessica did me and my fiances engagement photos it went better than I could have imagined. She took her time figuring out the best places and looks for us to do. One of the worst experiences and most unprofessional business I have had encounter with. I hired Forever Photography to capture our wedding in NYC Court House in May 5. They stated to have the photos ready by 1 week, after a week, they said photos were "temporarily" unavailable and that they were completely recoverable in about another week. After two weeks from the shoot, they send us two photos that were perfectly edited and letting us know, other are still retrievable and that it is on it's way. After about a month, they send us a link and the pictures do not have much editing or cropping. There were pictures of trashcan, pictures of people in the back ground, and no effort of editing the pictures. I have emailed them regarding the photos and how disappointed I was by the two samples they have previously shown me and how it does not match the album that they have given us. Andrea mentioned that they were only Jessica's photo and they only sent me half of the album as she takes the detailed shots and Jessica takes the landscape to capture the story. After about two weeks, followed up and still no news about half our photos. Then, I explained, how I was disappointed and if they can at least update on dropbox half of the photos and if they can send me the $40 CD that I have purchased later on as half of the photos were still missing. Andrea mentions, that half of the photos are all that we get, and that they do not owe us anything. However, she was the one to even let us know that half were missing. If she did not want us to know, then I could just assume that their work was not very good and I would have not waited over a month to get all of my photos. The way that they have held this situation is so rude and not comprehensible. She sent me three emails back to back saying how I can ask groupon for a refund and that those may be all the photos that we will receive, and that they owe us nothing. When half of the photos that she mentioned are missing, she says she owes us nothing? Such an unprofessional, newbies trying to make it big in the professional photographer world, but with that kind of attitude and customer service, they will not get very far. read more
