Amber Marlowe Blatt is a nice person who needs to find a new line of work…read more I'll post a full review of my experiences with her, but here is the quick summary: - We hired her twice. The first time, she did great work. We were happy. - We hired her again a year later, to take family photos. She did the shoot. She showed me some of the work through the viewfinder and said it was wonderful. And then she called me a week later and told me that she had LOST *ALL* OF THE IMAGES! Gone. Zero. I do marketing for a living and have hired perhaps twenty photographers in my life for over a hundred photo shoots. This is the first time I had ever heard of someone losing the work for a day's session. It just doesn't happen, because it is the ultimate badge of disgrace for a photographer. So what happened? She said she was sharing her studio with some folks doing a different project, they had taken a memory card from her desk, thought it was blank, etc. There are some serious issues here -- why is someone who bills as a professional letting other people grab memory cards from her desk? Why is she selling her time for hundreds of dollars and then pulling the memory card out -- representing not just her efforts but the time and energy a family takes to coordinate schedules and dress the kids -- and then not bothering to push the write protect tab? Why is she shooting on digital media and not bothering to make a copy of the work before charging in on other projects? Or, if she is running to an emergency, can't make a copy, you might at least write on the card with a Sharpie and say "do not use" or write the date of the session or write anything? Anything at all? We could debate this over and over. But someone who can't secure their digital work should not be shooting events for a living. You cannot "redo" a wedding. You cannot "redo" a birthday or bar mitzvah or other major life event. If you care about getting quality work, you should not be hiring this person. So that was the worst phone call ever -- "Hi, it's Amber, whoops, sorry, nothing left." And then, to add insult to injury, she apologized and offered "to do the shoot again without charging us." Are you f'ing serious? That was basically offering nothing. Of course she can't charge us for a second shoot. We had paid for the first shoot, spent our time and energy, and gotten zip out of it. Through her clear and pure incompetence. And then she did the second shoot and the images were poor. We couldn't and didn't use any of them. There were even instances in the second shoot when I said things to her like "are you sure we are centered under the sign" and Amber said yes, yet we were not. Bad image. Same thing with the sunlight -- "are you sure there won't be too much shadow at this time of day?" Amber said we were okay. We were not. She clearly didn't want to do the shoot a second time, or take the time to make it right, when she knew we weren't going to use her again. So -- sorry Amber. Nice person. Needs a new job. Ben

We have had 2 sessions already, and have been utterly thrilled with the results. Sandra has a gift far beyond taking amazing pictures. It was our pleasure working with Sandra for our engagement session and our wedding day. Her warm personality and calm demeanor made it easy for us to pose naturally in front of the camera. Our greatest photo that Sandra captured was the dip pose which, she carefully crafted with detailed guidance and patience until we got just the perfect shot. Her years of experience and multitude of knowledge help guide all our eight member bridal party and made us looked so natural in our wedding photos. Sandra keeps up with all of her current state-of-the art technology such as her infrared camera which made our photos looked AMAZING and unique. During our search for photographers, we learned that not all photographers had professional grade equipment so we wanted to make sure our photographer was equipped to provide us the best quality photos to remember our special moments. Sandra was not only a great photographer but, she went out of her way to be helpful in every way and even coordinated our timeline for us since she had so much experience with weddings. On our special wedding day, she was confident of her work and did not let any unexpected issues throw her off from her focus which comforted me throughout the day. If you are looking for a truly professional still photographer that will be interactive and creative to take those shots of your most memorable moments, I would strongly recommend Sandra Reid because she will surpass all your expectations as she has done for us!

I have NEVER done anything like this but it's something I suggest all women must experience at least once in their lifetime because it was simply amazing! I had no experience whatsoever but Avital posed me from my eyelashes down to my toes with such positive encouragement & energy! I had started my search with my upcoming birthday approaching & due to the world crisis / pandemic lockdown this year I knew I wouldn't be traveling or celebrating at gatherings, however I had just undergone a lot of spiritual & physical growth in the last few months because of these changes so I decided a photography shoot "might" be a nice present to myself... as well as to remember my last year in my 30's. Avital was the first of a few of my inquiries to call me back & as soon as we spoke I knew I had to look no further. We discussed all my questions & any concerns I had, & she instantly put all my worries to ease. The next few days I spent exploring what kind of sensual outfits I would like to wear & the kind of looks I would like to achieve for her to capture. We were in constant contact the next few days as she created my idea board & brought it all to life. She had also coordinated her best hair & makeup artist for me to make sure it was extra special. On the day of my shoot I felt so comfortable as I was greeted with thrill & warmth by both of them. As I was getting dolled up, Avital immediately began coordinating the outfits I brought with her own visions as well as incorporating my own thoughts, & I must say it turned out magical! I would have never envisioned half of what was actually produced. Once we started shooting, I felt her high energy come alive on set & it really worked wonders to motivate me & give my all to it. I felt beautiful, sensual, sexy, soft, excited, happy, all at one time! All the things that sometimes we forget are there in our busy lives. Avital had a true passion & eye for detail and beauty that cannot be compared! I left that day feeling so intense that I couldn't even describe it in words & this is why I strongly encourage anyone with any doubts to just do it! On the day of my final photo reveal I think she was just as excited as me, if not even more excited for how fierce the photos came out. The hardest part of the process was actually narrowing down the ones I wanted to keep. A few days later, my order was personally delivered to me & I was blown away by the beautiful packaging & detail of the entire presentation from the gift bag to the wrapping, the gorgeous prints & customized USB drive, the quality of it all was absolutely top notch. It looked so classy & elegant which was basically the theme of the entire experience. To top it off she had even added a bonus gift for me, so I cannot say enough about how from start to finish the experience was just mind blowing. If you have any reservations about your body or body type: On the day of my photo shoot I was 151lbs (which is an all time low for me in the last 20 years) Height 5'3", Bust 38.5", Waist 30", Hips 41" and what it tells me is you don't ever need to be perfect, ladies, you do not need the thinnest waistline or to be light as a feather, but you can feel perfect in your own way. This photo shoot captured a time in my life that I will forever hold very near & dear to my heart because of how much I learned about life & about myself & about what really matters when all is said & done. For me this was not a reinforcement of being sexy, But rather a huge reminder of the strength of a woman. The power of the mind is simply astounding to say the least. Once you master it, let your body follow. I am so glad I crossed paths with Avital & got to do something so empowering for myself. The last thing I need to add is that my photos have everyone SPEECHLESS & completely inspired. I am so glad it did it! You will NOT regret it either! when else will you be as young & beautiful as you are now

I found out about Susan through a recommendation from another bride on liweddings.com. I am so…read morehappy I went with her instead of one of the other more mentioned photographers (like the overpriced Jenerations!) I did a boudoir shoot for my fiance recently as a wedding gift. The moment I met Susan at her studio, I knew I wanted to book her. She has the most amazing personality. She is down to earth, friendly, and sweet. I loved her right off the bat - which is super important when you're about to be almost naked in front of someone! First off, the fact that she has a studio was super attractive to me. So many boudoir photographers have to either shoot you in your house, or you have to rent a hotel room. I live with my fiance, so I could not have a photographer traipsing through my apartment, and a nice hotel (nice enough to appear in pictures at least) can be expensive! Her studio is a large and beautiful place. She has vintage pieces of furniture, vanities, beds, sofas, different lights, and the most adorable changing area. In the changing area, she has some props, shoes, and outfits, if you need something extra. Throughout the shoot Susan is encouraging and directing you. She plays whatever kind of music you like, and she actually gets into the poses for you. She will do anything to get the perfect shot - there were times she was on the ground, on a ladder, she was like spider woman!! The shoot went amazing!!! I cannot state emphatically enough how fantastic she is. She actually left the studio while the make up artist she commissioned for me did my hair and make up, and brought back water and fruit. I had a marathon shoot, and she never complained and just continued to be cheerful and encouraging throughout the entire process. We reviewed my photos via internet and phone, and it was quick and simple. I had such a wonderful time that I can definitely see using her for family photography (in the not so distant future, lol!), and I'm recommending her to all of my friends. This was definitely my longest "good review", but definitely well deserved, use Susan for boudoir, family, and child photography. She is worth every cent :-)
