Miss Sarit came here for a photo shoot that she had been wanting to do for a while, where I mostly watched but did however participate in a few. It is located on the 11th floor, and you'll need to be buzzed up. Michelle and her assistant (?) greeted me at the door with a smile and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I was seated on a large couch and we were ready to begin. Michelle has a number of props to use, and seems to focus on natural lighting (which is probably the best in my unprofessional opinion.) There are several widows lining the studio with a white sheer curtain which sets the backdrop for several of the photos. In addition to this, she has really big expensive lights that she does some pro-looking photographer stuff with. The thing that comes to mind is those Cover Girl commercials where they're doing a photo shoot (duh Michael.) There are also different pattern backdrops and small props such as crazy stripper high-as-hell heels and other cool stuff. Michelle and her assistant will combine their artistic vision + experience with your desires and vision. We saw the untouched up photos today and were happy with several of them. OMG, how much do I love the photos Michelle took? Love, love, love. Michelle made me feel very comfortable in her sunny studio a few blocks away from Madison Square Garden and FIT. It was just the two of us collaborating to create the best and most artistically sexy photos with outfits and poses. The photos have an ethereal lighting to them. Using my husbands account since I don't have one. At the urging of my hubby, I signed up with Michelle to do a boudoir photo shoot for his Christmas, Chanukah & birthday present. I have done one a few years ago elsewhere for a wedding gift. I was expecting much of the same. I must say that these pictures blew the other ones out of the water! I looked gorgeous, I felt gorgeous and sexy.. I'm 45 not 25.. I'm not sure if the pictures were for him or myself! This will be a great memory to have. Michelle is so sweet, personable and an amazing photographer! Not only does she make you feel more and more comfortable as the shoot goes along but she makes you feel like you are the model and in the spotlight. I was super nervous as I walked into her studio but the nervousness quickly went away because of Michelle. I wish I could give Michelle more than five stars, because she truly deserves it! First, she's very punctual. Michelle and her assistant start on time and finish on time! Second, her assistant/make up artist is WONDERFUL and quick! You may not be comfortable with the finished product when you look in the mirror, but trust me: it translates SO MUCH BETTER on film!! You will be in very capable hands. Third, Michelle makes you feel at ease from the moment you walk through the door. If you have an idea, she will help you expand on it. She'll tell you what will work best for you and the camera and she'll be SPOT ON!! If you don't have props, she's got them for you. Fourth, the studio is warm and inviting. Lots of natural light, music playing, great atmosphere. You will feel as if you are in an old friend's home. Fifth, speaking of old friend: Michelle, after the first minute of meeting her, will feel just like that! She will pose and coach you as she's taking shots and it will feel so natural. If you are not comfortable about certain body parts, by the time your session is over, you will love those parts! She will play up your strengths, and also make the not so strong parts work for the camera with very little effort. Sixth, turnaround time to see all the photos she took is lightning fast: within 24-48 hours. My boudoir session with Michelle was yesterday. This was a gift to myself for my upcoming 50th birthday. I am SOOOOOOO glad, and honored, that Michelle was the one who translated my joy onto film. Hello, I would like to report my unpleasant and despicable experience with Michelle. I bought this photo shoot on Groupon and was planning to give to my husband as a anniversary gift on 12/19/2015. We arrange for the weekend after Thanksgiving 11/28.Few days later she sent me an email: ''Hello I have to reschedule the shoot because my boyfriend said we will not return to the city this weekend''. First of all, who does this to your clients? I said ok.We reschedule for 6th December. Then, guess what? Another unpleasant surprise from Michelle: On December 4th she sent an email confirming the session for the day 5th of December. I said I could not do this on 5th because the appointment was for December 6th. She offered me to reschedule the session for January 2016. I thought, WOW how can she has the courage to offer me to do this after my after my anniversary.Horrible! I just wish that professionals would not not offer their services on sites like Groupon or Living Social if they do not have the intention to treat clients with the same dignity of customers who pay the regular price. I leave here my alert for this business Shutterbug Bordoir.In fact I would not recommend it it to my worst enemy. Back in May 2013 I had a boudoir photoshoot with Michelle. Not only is she professional, she makes you feel completely comfortable and let's your inner sexy out! The last time I had a photoshoot with Michelle, it was a bucket list thing I've been wanting to do for a long time. (I had the body, so why not?!) she definitely exceeded all my expectations! I was able to feel comfortable and take nude pictures with her, without feeling shy or intimidated. She snapped over 200 pictures and I couldn't choose one that I dislike. I chose 3 pictures for her to retouch and words cannot explain how amazing they turned out! This time around I'm 9 months pregnant and I wanted to capture the beauty of pregnancy. She was able to achieve that for me! I brought in a bunch of props, she had some props as well, and together we made it work! She got so many poses and angles that looked phenomenal. She worked her a** off for me to be in comfortable positions (and I thank her so much for that) I couldn't imagine hiring a different photographer. Whatever I had imagined, she brought it to life! Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed my photo shoot with Michelle from Shutterbug Boudoir. I purchased the deal on LivingSocial as a Christmas/ Anniversary gift to my husband. I've never done anything like this before but Michelle was very accommodating and sent me an information page along with the confirmation when I booked my session. This way I knew how to prepare and what not to do on the day of, like not to wear tight socks/ undergarments in order not to have marks on my body. When I got to the studio, Michelle welcomed me and walked me through the process so I felt really comfortable. Her studio setup is very professional and as soon as Michelle started directing me on poses and taking pictures, I felt like she knew exactly what she was doing. Still, I was blown away by how well the images turned out. I am not a professional model but the poses looked so natural and the images so professional! I got the images emailed to me the next day, and I got to choose 2 pictures to get retouched (it was part of my LivingSocial deal).
