Was searching for a photographer online in LA and I found out about Paparazzi Proposals (I live in New York). Thought it was a great idea. I contacted Ann from the website and she replied back within the day. I wanted to do the proposal on the beach in Santa Monica and Ann set up all of it. Everything went really well! Matt (our photographer) was very responsive the day of and found the perfect spot on the beach for a picnic and roses where there weren't many people and found roses that my fiance loved. He acted like he was just a tourist who was taking photos of the sunset and my fiance was so surprised with the setupI was also sent the pictures within 2 days! It was a toss up between another provider (vladletophotography) and Paparazzi Proposals. There was a huge margin in price differences but being that Paparazzi Proposals had stellar reviews I decided to go with them. From the get go they had issues scheduling and "helping me plan". My "personal counselor" was harder to reach after the first call than aliens in space. Now I'm not a controlling consumer at all, nor do I ask for much. I mean IT IS ONLY one of the most important moments in my life right? You would think a professional business like this would have their logistics down to a T. This was suppose to be a Valentine's Day Proposal. And I thought it went off w/o a hitch. It took them over a week to get the photos out and I don't think any editing was done at all in my opinion.... Anyone can press "auto correct" on an imaging program right? At the end of it all I suppose I should have chose Vlad Leto photography as it could have been easier and most importantly cheaper for the same service that Paparazzi Proposals offered. read more

So pleased with the effort and results of James and his team. Long story short, my now fiance was living in NY while I live in Maryland. Making it difficult to do a walk through of what was going to happen, james emailed pictures of the site, maps of the path to take, and suggestions on the best times to propose. With the amount that photographers charge, Pap the question was a great bargain for a service they specialize in. We were given pictures taken over the course of over an hour, starting from the spot where he identified us, and several locations leading up to the spot of the proposal. Just had my proposal this past weekend and James was AMAZING!! I had spent a long time planning my proposal in a special exclusive park, and James worked with me to meet with me the week before and plan it out, and even coordinate a backup plan due to weather. We texted a bunch the week coming up, and he was able to get to the spot a bit earlier and even had his gear get a little wet to capture the best moments - now that is some high level dedication! I had planned a trip to New York and planned to propose to my girlfriend. I had put together a tentative plan when I ran through a DVR'ed episode of "Shark Tank" and saw James' company pop up. Unfortunately for me, I watch it about 4 days before our trip, in which we were about to depart on Saturday. I decided to give them a call on Thursday just to kick the tires and see if it were even possible to plan something. I left a message and got a call back from James in 20 minutes. He told me we could absolutely arrange something and that he would call me back from his office about 30 minutes later. Lo and behold, 30 minutes later on the button I received a call. We hammered out a plan, and it showed that James really knew his stuff. Being from Chicago, I have no concept of New York's geography. He steered me towards a mid-afternoon time, as it was November and he told me the sun drops like a stone, as well as a place, that being the Rockefeller Center Plaza. From then on, we worked through some specifics on timing (hitting a time between the flight landing and dinner before a show made a change of venue to Central Park and time (later) necessary) via email. What was refreshing and calming was James' promptness and professionalism. Every email I responded back to was replied to immediately and covered all loose ends. By the end of the day, I had a time, place, and a map (with illustrated directions) on the route we had to take. The day of, James was easily accessible via text as we kept tabs on each other from landing in New York all the way to until we left for our walk through Central Park. Suffice to say, the proposal went off without a hitch (and successfully!) and James captured some incredibly memorable, high quality shots that my family and friends are truly thankful to have. Proposals are stressful enough, especially when you get on an airplane (that was delayed) with a ring in tow. From planning our trip to the NYBG to the day of the engagement, James was aces. He sent a detailed map with current photos of the NYBG to get an idea of exactly what we could expect on our engagement. He even called the Garden multiple times to follow up with what was in bloom. I proposed to my fiancee on August 12th and couldn't be more happy to have hired James, Lorenzo and the rest of the Paparazzi Proposals team. As a general rule, I do not leave Yelp reviews but I felt obligated to leave one after an incredible experience with James and team. I proposed outside of the River Cafe and had a banner hanging off of the One Hotel right next to Brooklyn Bridge Park. James and his team provided a guitarist who played music nearby and did an incredible job on framing all of the photos to help us remember the moment. I put alot of work into planning this so I was texting James and his team quite a bit. They were responsive and attentive and even went above and beyond to offer a video camera which captured the entire proposal on video, free of charge, just to enhance the experience. We have watched the video with friends and family what feels like a hundred times and are so glad to have this momento of the experience. These guys genuinely care about optimizing your experience and going above and beyond to make sure things go as well as possible. Also - as an aside, the costs are not much more than hiring a private photographer anyway..but along with it you get more than just an hour of someone's time..you get the planning, the set up / framing prior to event, etc. Plus, we turned our proposal into an engagement party after so you overall I feel like I spent less on the day than I would have for a separate engagement photo shoot (seems like everyone does this for the save the dates or what not) and separate engagement party. Couldn't recommend Paparazzi Proposals more highly. The choice to hire Paparazzi Proposals was by far one of the best decisions of my life. Living in Canada, this kind of service is not something many people have access to, so the opportunity to capture the happiest moment of my and my fiancé's life so far is not something you can put a price on. Sharing the pictures captured when I asked Liz to marry me has been one of the best parts of announcing our engagement. It enriches the story so much, and I know years from now we will be able to look at these pictures and remember exactly how it happened - every second, every detail. I worked with James to plan that morning. I was travelling to NYC for a week and knew I wanted to propose in Central Park, but I had never been to the park. After reviewing some sites in the park before I arrived, I met with James shortly after my arrival to walk through a plan, pick a location for the proposal, and figure out timing. The weather forecast for that week was abysmal, and James was far more accommodating than any professional could be expected to be. When we finally got down to business, there was a slight snag in the boathouse where the proposal was supposed to begin - it was opening a half hour late on that particular morning. But, James continued to accommodate to ensure our engagement was as special as could be. The weather-caused delays meant that I actually ended up proposing the day before we were leaving NYC. IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON PROPOSING AND ARE AT THIS SITE THINKING ABOUT IT: WITHOUT ANY HESITATION BOOK JAMES AND PAPARAZZI PROPOSALS...IT WILL BE THE BEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE!!! If you want the love of your life to be over the moon and gushing with joy until the day you get married, this will be the best money you have ever spent! Here is why: From the instant...and I mean instant...with talking with James...I knew this was my guy. He was professional, courteous, and more importantly cared only about what I wanted to do for my fiancé. He WAS NOT pushy, overly jerky, or intrusive on how I should do my proposal. Instead, he was willing, able, and flexible to try to get it "right" the way I wanted it. Why is this important you may ask...because WE ALL HAVE A VISION OF WHAT WE WANT TO DO...AND JAMES HELPS YOU ACHIEVE THAT. No nickel and diming, no up-charge, no request for a tip...but just good old fashion straight business... Did I mention we did all of this planning remotely: me from my office in Dallas and James in New York? We chatted quickly about where I should walk, the best angle to do it, a quiet place to have my intimate moment (I'm shy), and everything else...James helped guide me through and at the end of the day the pictures speak for themselves. After all this pre-planning over the phone, the walk thru on where and when it would happen, we just need one thing...THE GIRL! Yes, shockingly, my fiancé was not on time. I had coordinated with her friends on timing, hammered the point home via texts and emails...and still...my fiancé was late by 45 min. Guess how many times James complained? Guess how much he tried to charge me for this delay? Guess how many minutes he cut short our shoot? That is right zero (0). Class act, that James is! Even after our delay, James only thoughts were keeping me positive and staying pumped for the shoot. Finally, my fiancé arrives and is surprised (kinda) to see me. After all, "a secret admirer" had just sent her on a wild string of events to get her nails done, her hair done, and make-up done. And when she arrived home, waiting for her was a dress with shoes, and a note to go to Central Park. When she saw me...SHE DIDN'T CRY!!! My fiancé is such a crier...but she didn't this time. She told me later she was nervous and didn't even end up listening to anything I said for the first 15 minutes we were together. I think she knew something was up So we finally enter the park, walk down the path, into the woods a bit, and under the tree...and well...the rest is history. Go check out our pictures! James did a great job! So you may be wondering, where was James during this whole time??? WHO KNOWS!?!?!?! I swear I was looking for him during the walk towards the tree...and he is like a ninja! I didn't see him at all after we parted ways. He truly is a good photographer...and must have been an ace celebrity photo in his day. LIKE A NINJA! It amazes me to this day, that after our first quick chat, I literally never saw James again. He is good and don't worry if you try to look for him during your proposal...you won't see him...she won't see him...I'm pretty sure if the FBI was looking for him...they couldn't see him! What to take away from all of the above: here I am writing this one year later. A lot of wedding planning has happened in the past year...and let me tell you something BROTHER...WEDDING PLANNING ain't for the weak hearted! One thing that did make it easier was James pictures. Whenever a time came when things got to be too much or the pressure of planning got overwhelming, my fiancé would just scroll through our proposal pictures. She'd be ear to ear by the end of the slideshow It was the best purchase I've made in my life (no joke) and would easily pay 2x or 3x what James and I settled on. I mean my fiancé looks at these pics at least 3x a week. And it has been a year since we got engaged! A year! Tell me a set of pictures someone would look at over and over again for a year...that is right...only for a set of pictures like these. I met with him at the proposal sight before the couple (my brother and his now fiance) arrived, and he knew what he was doing the second he got there.
