I'm bumming tonight after MANY delicious and positive transactions with Heathco's Pizza. I phone-ordered a GF cheese pizza and a non-GF BBQ chicken pizza, both of which I have ordered and enjoyed thoroughly in the past. Tonight's GF cheese pizza was delicious, however the BBQ chicken pizza was made by someone not following the recipe by which I had received from previous orders and was well, bad. Details aside, after I had driven home ten or so miles, I opened my pizza box to find a pizza with no sauce between the crust and cheese/toppings with some BBQ sauce drizzled about the top of the pizza. It's not the pizza I am giving a low score for, it's the complete lack of customer service I received when I called the store with my complaint. Whomever I spoke with about my complaint was holding the phone in a manner that I was able to overhear the manager in charge say that she was too busy to deal with whoever I was and/or the complaint that I had... the person I was speaking with then said, "Thank you, have a good night." and hung up on me. I promptly called back and let them know that because of their lousy customer service, attitude and attention to detail, they had lost a customer whom has spent hundreds of dollars with them in the very recent past, and that I wiould be speaking with their superiors regarding this issue. Buyer beware! Order at your own risk. I wish I could give no stars. After paying $75.00 for our order we got the worst food we have had. The pictures say it all. The salad was not fresh as they added fresh lettuce on top. The steak tips were tough and leathery. The bread sticks were flat, greasy and tough like beef jerky. The marinara sauce was thick and tasted like it had been in a steam table way too long. The general manager claims the salads are fresh and the dough is made everyday. Clearly this is not the case. The manager could not refund all or part of our money since it is an online order. He is only authorized to give credit. The owner Alex, was not made aware of the situation on Saturday or Sunday and I was told he would be in on Monday. I called on Monday was told the owner would be in at 1:00 or 2:00. Not the case. I again spoke with he manager today and asked for the owner to call me since he is the only one that can refund my order and I have yet to hear from him. This restaurant is not worth your time or hard earned money. Please don't order online especially if you are from out of town. The store credit is to force people to order again and not refund any money. Its a scam loop. I will never return to this restaurant as the food is not even worth feeding to a dog and their business practices are as questionable as their food safety and quality. There are too many options In Auburn to choose one that doesn't care about quality, customer satisfaction, or food safety. read more

We recently ordered Heathco's for multiple work events this week and I would hands down recommend them to anyone looking for great quality and excellent service. On a Monday morning, we needed multiple deliveries of breakfast pizza to feed about 350 people and Heathco's made sure we had pizza on time so nobody had to wait. Then we had to put in a last minute, same day order to feed about 50 people for lunch and Heathco's accommodated us again. The breakfast pizza and lunch pizzas were both stellar. The toppings were plentiful so you actually get your veggies in with your meal. I will definitely be ordering for my family soon. read more

So, we were in Freeport doing the touristy thing with friends, at that huge outdoor sporting goods store that people flock to.. name escapes me .*jk* What does that have to do with Heathco's you ask? Welp, we didn't realize that the new Covid curfew was in place, meaning: everything in Freeport was closing in 11 minutes. So we tried our regular pizza places and EVERYONE was closed, how bizarre, how bizarre. I guess it's all for the best because I called Heathco's and the young lady who took my phone call was super sweet, even though they, too, were closing soon. So we got a couple pizzas and salads.. a Hawaiian + some weird combo for our friends who were in town (Anchovies, mushrooms and olives, I think?) I know for a fact my Hawaiian was delightful! Our friends said their pizza was delish, too, however if it wasn't I would not blame Heatcho's (def blame the anchovies.) Since then we've ordered 2 more times and it's been spot on each time! I'm new to the area and saw they had a lot of traffic so I took it upon my self to stop in! They have a beautiful dining area and the ac is very frosty!!! Their pizza is amazing! The crust just crackles in your mouth like it was a deep dish! The pepperoni is mini which is cool because you don't see that no more! It has the perfect amount of grease a pizza should have. The gentleman behind me got a BLT and it looked fantastic and he said he enjoyed it very well and one of the workers was eating a buffalo chicken salad on a flatbread!! This restaurant use to be really good before it was sold. They can't seem to get it together enough to even make a sandwich correctly the way you ask for it. And then it takes 1 hour to make 3 sandwiches. And mind you it's not like it was even delivery. I was standing there waiting in person! They told us that they would credit us $30.00 the cost of our food the last time we got delivery because yet again they messed up the order! I really wasn't expecting much, but being able to buy her some Pizza and salad for dinner. He let me know that he would have the drivers say happy birthday to her and will make it as special as possible, he also added the fact he was going to make they toppings into a heart for her special day. I am back for the second time this week! It's that good!!! Ordering their 20" pepperoni pizza, again! Okay, this may be a place that you would pass by, because outside looks outdated...but looks can be deceiving and yes, you would kick yourself for wishing you stopped by sooner once you try their food. Their pizza is great! I like that they don't go heavy on the sauce, the right amount of cheese and old style pepperoni slices, that you just don't see anymore and the best part - it's cooked evenly for a huge pizza and the taste, awesome!!! Last time we were here, we also ordered two sandwiches BLT and a Ham Italian. My son had the BLT and said it was great and really loved that they loaded it with bacon, not just a couple of slices on top. My husband had the Ham Italian and said it was good and he really liked their rolls. Now I can't say yet on their sandwiches, but will definitely be going back to get my own sub!! Just looking at their rolls, they looked awesome...but I will do an update on my review, once I get a chance. Now, for newbies going here, one side is a little store and the other side is seating and the middle is where their prep and make your food. So, you can either eat in or not. Oh, they also have a Pacman video game table, which you don't see very often. They also have a bar style seating area to eat and watch them cook - LIKE THAT!! Last-minute decision to pivot from a couple other local pizza spots and try out Heathco's. VERY glad we did. The crust was perfectly buttery, with a great chew. They did not skimp on the toppings at all, and their little pepperonis are the bomb! Ok, so it's kinda fast foodish. Generic Italian food, but it's actually pretty darn good. Sometimes we like something full of fat and quick to get, and Heathco's actually has a really good sampling of sandwiches, pizza and fried goodies. While I don't eat fast food often, this place is one of my top choices, especially for hot subs. They have a steak and cheese sandwich, they are perfectly happy to customize to suit you, and it's actually really yummy. In a pinch, this is one of our top choices for something quick and in the I-don't-have-to-cook-it category. The folks that work there are really super nice, and always up for a good laugh. They take care of the customers and try to help fix anything that may be wrong. I don't know who trains them, but they have excellent customer service skills, and in spite of the fact it's a grocery/convenience/fast food place, it's really a place that anyone should stop off at at least once. Just tried Heathcos for the first time today, and our only regret is not trying it sooner. We ordered a 20" cheese pizza and large buffalo wings to go. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed both, and we have plenty of leftovers. Best pizza and wings we have had in the Auburn area, hands down, and great prices for the generous servings. We picked up our order, but I'm sure we'll take advantage of their delivery service sometime too. They will also deliver anything they sell in the store, very cool. I've never had anything bad there. The food is great and often beats out the name brand places. Great prices and they deliver with no minimum. They are also s convenience store and they will deliver anything they have on stock including beer and tobacco if you're into that sorta thing. Order 50.00 worth of food, went out to the parking lot to eat in our vehicle. We needed some ketchup and salt since there wasn't some enclosed. We sent our son in and he cane back to say he needed money? Ok, gave him some and he came back to tell us they charged him 4.00 for 3 small ketchup packets and 4 tiny salt packets. I could set up a tent in the Heathco's parking lot and live there. I don't know of anywhere else that you can get a 20" pizza for under $15, especially one this delicious. They make the best veggie panini on such tasty bread. I really have a thing for convenience store meals, I just think it's the best thing about living in Maine! Wonderful neighborhood hang out for the kids where they can socialize at the tables in the windows while having a slice of pizza and a soda. Heathco's has a good variety to choose from. Chicken for me, pizza for the hubby and pasta for the kids! Their chicken tenders are some of the best in the twin cities. Love the giant booths when I eat in; gives the feel of having privacy when I scootch all the way into the booth or it gives plenty of room for everyone when there with the whole family. The best part, though, is when I order delivery and ask that they bring me items off the shelf as well (they stock groceries items). I placed a delivery order and was totally disgusted with my food. I ordered a Pastrami Sub with mayo- NO mustard. I got lots of mustard and no mayo! Next was a Chicken Finger Parm Sub. Again, although I asked for "lightly toasted", it was burnt and the Chicken was full of fat. Just gross! Lastly; Fried Mushrooms. Another major yuck! The absolute worse I've ever had. Ordered our normal weekly order Small Ghost Pizza, 2 Buffalo finger dinners, large order of mozerella sticks and a large order of buffalo wings. Recieved everything except the large buffalo wings. Was instead given large tenders. Call and told them the issue was told the large wings would be sent out right away. Waited an hour and no show. My wife called back again and the supposed owner then rudely told my wife to shut up and then hing up on her. We normally order from the 1-2 times a week with the same order. Sad to be so rudely treated as regular customers. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. If you order from there and they mess up the order be preparred to be treated like shit. From first glance this place doesn't look anything special, looks like a normal getngo style of store. But don't write this place off just because of what's on the outside, step on in and place an order, you'll be quite happy you did. We got the 20" pizza, BLT and an Italian sandwich. The service was very friendly and you can watch them cook your food right in front of you, neat! Only took about 10 mins which is nice because it's nice to just sit down for a bit. I was able to try everything we got and I gotta say, I was expecting it to be good, but it really surprised me! The pizza uses the old style of pepperoni, the sauce and cheese weren't overwhelming and the dough was cooked perfectly, depending on how you like your dough. The BLT was LOADED with bacon and had the perfect amount of Mayo and lettuce, also the bun was toasted, nice touch. Don't really have much to say about the Italian because it had things on it I don't really like on my sandwiches but from what my dad said, he said it was better than what he expected. Overall this place is great, maybe its just first impressions being so good or me just having gone to too many terrible places recently. But I really loved the food and would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a good bite to eat, it's a shame this place only has 2 reviews at the time of writing this because it really does deserve a lot more!
