I wasn't really sure how it was going to work out -- but when we arrived we took a look at the menu and then explain the situation to the friendly cashier at the counter. There were no issues from there. We spent about $50 on two meals and two drinks (not including tip). We ordered the Burrito Mexicano, Pink Protein Pancakes (with eggs), Morning Energizer (I believe that's what it was called), & a matcha latte. The pancakes were made using beet flour which you can definitely taste. I actually enjoy the taste of beets but if you don't, maybe don't order those. The eggs weren't our favorite thing in the world, but they were warm & got the job done. The order also came with a variety of fresh fruit. I appreciated that I didn't come to any piece of fruit that was overly ripe. I really liked the burrito but next time I think I would add some kind of breakfast meat to it. Accompanying me for the meal was my 15 month old daughter. When we arrived, I didn't see any high chairs. I was a little concerned about how the meal was going to go without one... but after we ordered and sat down the hostess grabbed a highchair for us (which was clean). My favorite things we ordered were the two drinks. My daughter and I actually both drink those together and surprisingly her favorite was the morning energizer (which had the beet juice). We sat indoors, but there is somewhat of an outdoor patio if the weather was nice and you wanted to sit outdoor. Indoor seating had a variety of options from comfy chairs (that gave coffee shop vibes), to regular dining chairs. I also appreciated that though there was some music playing in their speakers -- It wasn't too loud. Something that really impressed me was: the second we finished a plate and pushed it aside (so my 15 month old wouldn't play with it) the hostess immediately took it away from us. There was no wait. The complementary water that is brought to the table tasted clean and without chlorine. All of the food was fresh tasting, and we enjoyed the interactions we had with all of the staff we spoke to. The women's restroom was one of the cleanest I have been in and it had a luxury vibe to it.

Fried fish and shrimp with fries and slaw. Everything cooked to order and that kitchen has it going on. Served hot and fresh and fried to perfection and well seasoned. It was really one of the best fried seafood platters that I can remember - seriously ! The line was steady the entire time we were eating but it was moving steadily. Parking lot is currently undergoing some updates (July 2026) so be prepared when you arrive. I never been to the cafe when it was owned by Team Long, but we decided to give this a try after they had a bunch of flyers and samples this week and today. What caught our eye was you can get a healthy meal for $5 plus tax. That's pretty good! They had samples of their smoothies: - a chocolate peanut butter smoothie on Thursday - a kale banana pineapple with whey protein today - both were delicious! For our meals today, we tried the rice bowls: - chicken with mixed veggies, jasmine rice, and Thai peanut sauce - shrimp with broccoli, jasmine rice, and teriyaki sauce - steak with broccoli, sliced red potatoes and teriyaki sauce The bowls are deceivingly small looking, but after spreading it on a full sized plate when we got home, it was a good portioned meal. I remember the lady at the counter telling me that it comes with 1 cup of rice, which is the portion recommended by the gym trainers. I don't know how many ounces the other ingredients are, but she said you get a lot since they pack the food really good inside the bowls. I thought the meals were good and filling. The sauces really help give the dishes their flavors. I didn't like how the rice was cooked - it was too mushy like they used too much water in the cooking process. ****** (UPDATE 1/24/2017: got a pair of bowls to go and I'm happy to report they took my suggestion and the jasmine rice is 100% better!!!) ****** After my meal, I called them because I forgot the phone number for texting orders. The lady who answered asked me what I thought about the meals and I gave her my honest opinion and suggestions - how to cook the rice since jasmine rice is cooked differently than other rices; and maybe they may want to tell customers that the Thai peanut sauce is on the spicy side (which I love, but some folks may not). Overall, we liked the meals and would definitely order from them again. For $5 you can't beat what you get. Also, if you call ahead or text your order, then you get $0.50 off! I can't wait to try a whole serving of their smoothies! Looks like they have great combos! :)
