Life is so great! In the relaxing afternoon tea time, enjoying a pot of authentic Rose Puer tea & a slice of fresh, succulent Mango cake... O! I'm living in heaven!!!

This is a Veggi restaurant but they do use eggs when cooking. If you don't eat eggs better tell them first. My fav dishes are the two not printed on menu: "eel" rice and "beef" noodle soup. Highly recommand!

Glad I found this place. Hours longer than the store in Cupertino. Will return soon to explore their food.

Tons of boxed lunches and a lot of variety from sushi to many different cooked foods. Many frozen meat and fish items but almost all are frozen (other then the bento lunches). That was a bit diappointing. Had a bento lunch at the Pogu - Bulgogi. This was a good meal with plenty of banchan Also bought a matcha drink at the Cafe which was good. Bought some cookies at the Bakery, which is gluten free. Overall experience was good, but it's pretty hard to get to since I live west of 280 and there's no easy way to get there except down Page Mill, which is very slow. It's easier to just go to downtown Palo Alto or MV. Probably fiine for people living close to 101. They are right next door to Home Depot and I never go there unless I have to do major hardware shopping like lumber. So it's unclear whether I would make the effort to go to Mega Mart except to get stacks of short ribs or shabu shabu meats.

They also serve hot food if you're looking for a bite to eat. Interior has some seating inside with a grocery store kind of feeling. No outdoor seating available. Parking is limited to street parking. A few notes: * Not everything in the store is labelled with prices * Hot food was pretty average in my opinion * Price vs value wasn't great in terms of quality of food Onto the hot food: * butter mochi - definitely the best thing we ordered here! Chewy buttery and soft in texture. Don't skip this. * garlic shrimp- this was recommended by the cashier but it was quite lacking in depth of flavor with the primary taste just being garlic. No spice, nothing special to stand out. After a while the sauce gets tiring. Mac salad was prominently peppery but bland in both texture and flavor. * Mochiko chicken - Not bad, crunchy battered chicken. Interior of the chicken was juicy but lacking in that distinct strong sweet savory that mochiko chicken is known for. Again, the mac salad was a letdown. Overall, the food was quite average especially for the price point. I can think of two places in SJ with better Hawaiian food for half the price.

Well, they have and done so in spades. The store is spotless, organized fairly intuitive to shop and staffed by friendly and helpful folks. Product selection will not compete with H-Mart nor Kukje, but who cares when the quality (and price) are far superior. Yeah, the huge restaurant in the center is a bit odd considering it's expensive, and did I mention huge? The Bakery is fire. I heart Sulppang. Ladies that work there are very nice. The shopping experience collectively is rather odd. The entire store is very dimly lit and it's a strange experience. At first, it feels like an upscale food court, filled with upscale large kiosk throughout the store. They have an amazing Sushi counter, and amazing meat counter. Almost anything you could possibly think of can be found, or freshly cut to order. Just as you're walking around, there's small areas where you might find fresh noodles, or some definite, unique food finds like fresh tteokbokki. Yes I needed to buy this! They have an entire beauty section that's filled with the variety of products, many of them overpriced, but also hard to find in the average marketplace. The fresh fruit area is small, but abundant. This is definitely worth a visit, if nothing more than the experience. You will find some amazing and unique items that are usually only found abroad.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the cashier and we browsed around leisurely looking at all the different food items. I'd really love to come back here and try out the more unique foods like their rice cakes and mung bean ice cream, but my husband and I got a notification that our table was ready so we went to eat our lunch. We returned after our meal and were greeted again. We looked at all the pineapple cakes again because my family enjoys them so much and my husband wanted to gift them a box for a Christmas present. All of the boxes are so beautifully designed and we finally settled on one. The cashier was very kind and talked to us about the iTaiwan membership and how to get the most benefits out of it. She also packaged the pineapple cakes in a cute bag for us for free! A very cozy story run by cute people. I will most definitely visit again.

I remembered a place on Jackson Street that I had gone to 5 years ago that had a tremendous selection - looked it up on Yelp and it was no longer on Jackson, but was listed in Castro Valley. So we went thought we'd go by and give it a try. Great decision! The "new" store in Castro Valley is much brighter, cleaner, nicer than the old location. I think the old location had more stuff from Eastern Europe, but this new location seems to have a broader selection, with more stuff from Western Europe and the Middle East. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and helpful - always willing to answer questions and even give tips on how to use the products that they sell. And his recommendations have been great - we asked him about which tahini and zaatar to get (they have many different brands/types of each...) and the ones he recommended have been way tastier than any of the brands that you find in most markets. Especially good was his recommendation on lebnah - he said that the brands they carry are all good, but they have some that they package in-house that was special. I tried it - it was less expensive than the other brands, but was the very best lebnah that I have ever tasted! Richer, creamier, with just the right amount of tang. Wonderful stuff! Anyway, Crossroads is a nice, clean, well-lit place with a great selection of unique products, and friendly, knowledgeable sales staff. Well worth a trip!
