We had the opportunity to visit this location for an outpatient procedure. It was nice to have a…read moreseparate place away from the hub-bub and crazy parking at the hospital. They had a central check in desk and waiting area right inside the doors. Once checked in, you can sit relax, while tracking your status on the posted TV screen showing the procedures in the queue and what doctor is assigned. Once we were called back, they set us up in a cubby hole type room with walls on 3 sides and open to the hall with a pull curtain for privacy. The nurses station was right outside our room so we heard all the conversations that they had both professional and personal. They had a drink station in the area, that family can use when waiting for the patient. Our procedure took longer for the preparation and waiting, than the procedure itself. We were in and out in less and 20 minutes for the actual procedure. Unfortunately, the computer system screwed up our discharge orders and we had to wait around longer than we wanted and then never got the paperwork in the end. I like the convenience and efficiency of the surgical center, but they need a bit of work on the processing-of-patients part.

Upon having my eyes checked this last August at Ogden Vision, I gave them some frames I had barely used, with the old prescription lenses removed because my eyesight had changed. I did so because the $700 lenses I was buying didn't afford me the ability to buy their $150 frames. I spent about $1000 in their office the previous year for their lenses that were supposed to be scratch resistant, but after about 9 or 10 months, whatever scratch protection coating they apply wears off and you get scratches, so I wanted to save some money somewhere in the process, and I brought my old frames in to them to put my new prescription lenses in. After waiting nearly 3 weeks for my glasses, I get a call from them saying that they broke my frames, and they would give me a discount on a pair of their frames. So a discount was applied, but not enough of a discount to mention. 30%, there, I mentioned it. Unacceptable. Also, I find out that I have cataracts, which they said that they knew from my previous eye appointment last year, but for some reason they didn't think it was necessary to tell me until my visit this year. That's the kind of thing I should know fairly soon, isn't it? My first visit there in August 2025 wasn't much better. It was bad enough that I should have thought twice about going back, but I figured it could only get better. It obviously didn't. I regret giving them my business and I won't do it again. These things I say here isn't everything that has gone wrong with my experience with Ogden Vision, but you get the picture. Every one in the office is very pleasant and they act like they have your best interests at heart, which is nice on the surface, but I'm telling you I had to bite my tongue when I walked out of there wearing a pair glasses I didn't want. It's a small waiting area, a small office, and, frankly, I didn't want to make a scene in front of a crowded waiting room of senior citizens by telling them they didn't do me right. As a senior citizen myself, I can be gruff when I need to be. I had already expressed dissatisfaction to them weeks ago when they told me they broke my frames, so they knew where I stood. I should not have had to pay for frames to replace the ones that they broke. They were perfectly good, quality frames that I paid $200 for less than 3 years ago from an out of state optometrist. I'll go out of state before I set foot in Ogden Vision again. I am very unhappy about the whole experience of having to try and deal with them. It shouldn't be such a drag to go to an eye doctor and get glasses. Good luck to you if you choose to do business with Ogden Vision. If you do, hopefully, they will treat you better than they treated me. I'm not trying to be a victim, I'm merely saying that I have a low threshold for incompetence and disregard.
